I wanted to try a new place, very close to my house. I needed a mani/pedi, I waited approximately 35 min, I started with a pedicure, I waited another 25 min with my feet in the bowl. I have been coming here for years. I've moved out of the area twice and luckily this place being on my way home from work and near my moms house allows me to continue to come here. I'm writing this review from a different nail place near my current home (north suburbs) because coming to yet another place where you barely get a relaxing foot rub along with your pedicure, I decided I needed to review my continued favorite place for at least the last 7 years, Xquisite. I always opt for the deluxe pedicure because it encompasses relaxing great smelling exfoliant, lotion, and oil rub along with callus remover (huge problem for me). I was surprised by the reviews on here, maybe because they know me but in treated great here all the time and enjoy my pedicure not being rushed, my feet feeling soft, and the relaxing atmosphere. Ive had my nails done here probably 6-8 times before and pretty much like your typical nail shop & No issues so i came back..... I took my daughter in today to get hers done too and i had a sample picture with a french manicure nail design that i showed them for my nails. I Picked my base color & i was going to have them match the gold color on the picture i had. She kept asking me if i wanted gel i politely said no thanks just regular....then again she said "if you want design gels better". I said thats ok i just want the regular polish. Then she told me the base i picked wasnt light enough to go pick another.....so i did. When i came back she already started on my daughters nails and i went to go sit with a different tech that was going to do mine. So the same lady who kept insisting i get gel that was doing my daughters nails THEN says "has to be gel if you want design". I said "why"? She said "it only work for gel" (which i knew was bull!) Had she not started on my daughter slyly enough, i would have left! By then i was already VERY annoyed how she was trying to push the gel & LIED to me because you know darn well had I gone in there three years ago before gel was popular she would've had no problems doing the design & charging a little extra. So i said "just forget it i'll pick 1 color for the non gel"! I go pick my color come back and she is trying to upsell my daughter gel, desings, etc! I tell her we just want basic nothing extra! Like seriously! So I sit and get my nails done and her and the other gal were speaking what ever language it was to each other the WHOLE time and giggling! frankly I feel is RUDE to do! My guess is they were talking about how I didn't want to upgrade to the gel! Yeah, it's nice but unless you're going to continue to go constantly it's a pain because its hard to remove on your own. So not only did she make me upset, they LOST whatever extra they would have charged me for the design that i was willing and HAPPY to pay! Like HELLO! You are going to charge EXTRA for the design wether its gel or not but because YOU pushed for an extra $5-$10 gel upgrade i decided NO GEl & now NO DESIGN EITHER! very poor service,did my nails messed it up promised to redo my nails but did not come through.Every time I call they tell me manager is not there he will call me takes my phone # and never hear from him.No one speaks english so hard to make any conversation.I would tell people not to throw their money.NOT GOOD SERVIVE Read Less

I was put off when I was greeted at the door and she said nothing to me but was talking to her coworkers in another language and laughing. During my eyebrow wax she kept combing and combing my eyebrows which you know is a bad sign because it means they messed up a spot. Afterwards she did not offer me a mirror or give me anything to soothe the redness. I asked her for Aloe Vera and instead she put oil which always makes me break out. Without saying a word I'm just standing there and then I asked her if I should meet her at the register and she says yes. I finally get to my car and I noticed my eyebrows are completely mismatched. The woman that gave me my manicure and removed my shellac was extremely rude. She was dismissive when I walked in, and it only got worse. I found myself needing to raise my voice within the first minute of her working on my nails just to get my voice heard - which she replied I've done nails for a LONG time. Well lady that doesn't mean you are good at it or have any amount of customer service! On top of all that, $20 for a basic manicure is ridiculous. I would NOT recommend going here for any reason. This place is terrible. It was dirty they were rude they cut me I think I have an infection how anybody could go to this place is beyond me.they told me a pedicure was $25 when I was done they tried to charge me 50 then they started yelling at me in a different language . Tried them twice. Definitely can get better work done else where at the same cost or less. Bad and lazy work both times. Got a mani pedi together in about one hour, felt rushed. Also, not a very relaxing place. I will not be going again. And bty to this business I went to a different place for my recent manicure, they didn't pressure gel upgrade or designs AND I was given a very good shoulder massage, after my hand massage. No extra! This is probably one of the best salons that I've been to. Very clean very professional-looking and well organized. The layout has a very nice flow for their customers and staff. It was very well thought out. My nail tech today did a great job with my manicure and pedicure. She was very nice and personable. They even offered me water which not a lot of salons do. This place was great. I am always leery  of  nail shops  that are connected to a presidios   Salon. But I decided to bite the bullet and try it out. And I'm so glad I did my pedicure was great and I no Chip looks amazing. The owner was very nice too I will be back. Stay Away! This place is terrible. I am convinced many of the positive write ups are from employees. Ever notice how they're always on their electronic devices? Probably writing undeserving positive comments. Ask them to show you a license- they won't. Ask for the owners name- they won't tell. This place is shady with shoddy work. Very rude employees (at least the older ladies and 2 older men are). Ask the customers how many of them are repeat customers over time- not many of them. Again I say, stay away! The girls here are nasty, don't talk to you, hurry and gossip among themselves in their own vietnamese language. You feel like you are in another country being verbally assaulted when you should be enjoying a day at the spa!!! I think the girl that did my nails in a artzie way was Cathy (?) and she never said one word to me but went on and on for an hour laughing with co-workers. I hated the experience and won't go back!!!
