I love the way they did my nails. I went in and had a no chip manicure and a pedicure done with my daughter. In their pricing it states $5 off with mani pedi combo. She charged $65 for each of us. When I asked why we did not get the $5 off, she said it was for basic manicure not no chip. I don't see the difference. A no chip costs more and you would think they would want you to spend more. Not too mention NO WHERE in their flyer does it state basic only. It states main pedi combo is $5 off so to me thatsbbad business. I will go back for polish change only, but when I want to do a mani pedi combo, I will be going elsewhere. Read Less

Love this place. The pedicures are amazing. I am liking the no chip organic "dip" powder manicures. Lasts 3-4 weeks without any chips! Removal of the product is easy and nails felt great after. The salon is clean and staff is nice. Read Less

I have always asked for Holly, the owner.Was great for a long time...But....She seems to be distracted all the timealways WATCHING THE DOOR when working on you. Today during a pedicure she gouged the side of my heel with the 'cheese grater' thing. No apology ...no blood but there now is a hole that hurts now & is throbbing on the side of my heel.I hope it doesn't get infected.Also in my last nail fill my cuticle 'did get infected' as the file broke the skin. Holly does an awesome job on my nails. I've been going to her for a few years now and I've never had an issue with her or anyone at Hollywood Nails. Today was a bit hectic though, as it's Saturday, and the place was very busy. I saw a few people walk out for waiting a while. But maybe they should come at a different time. I'll keep going there.I might add that I only go to Holly for my fingers. Idc who does my pedi's. I usually go in not so busy times because I know she gets distracted when it's crazy busy. At first, I was not going to write a review as usually 9 out of 10 times this shop does a good job. This time my experience was so bad it wiped out those 9 times.  First, they were busy and instead of saying 'hey come back in X amount of time', I sat in the water, cold water, for over 30 mins. Finally, when it was my time up the lady went to the wrong person and began clipping her toenails. The manager realized her mistake and told her I was next. So instead of getting a new sanitary toolset, she tried to start clipping my nails with the one she already used on the first lady. I asked for a new one and honestly, I think she went behind the wall, chatted with someone and came back out with the SAME toolset UNSANITIZED! Again, I let this slide keeping in mind the 9 good times I had. The pedicure was ok, she spends more time massaging my feet than actually doing the pedicure. Now it was time for my no-chip manicure. Let me say they have an amazing selection of colors. Which is why I was excited to change my color for the holiday season. Long story short (I know too late), my manicure was BELOW SUBPAR. She put the polish on too thick, did not even out my nails and after 2 days the first layer of THICK polish began peeling on every finger. I am beyond pissed as I paid $70 total for both services. Go at your own risk. I’ve gotten 2 infections in the past year from pedicures. They make me bleed when doing my nails and I’ve witnessed other customers complaining about being cut as well. Came in for a full set. My nails looked soooooo bad. It's so embarrassing. I went in at 9:45 and left at 11:30... took forever for someone to help me... the salon is nice but my nails were horrendous. Completely different shapes on all the nails, some were thin and most were super thick. The length was not the same... some were long and my thumb was so short. I completely wasted my money and my time. They told me i was getting a "gel" which was 52$ and these nails ended up falling off after being told theyre suppose to last longer which is why theyre more expensive than the regular full set. Awesome nail salon! Pedicures are great.. Area is dimmed and they play spa music. The pedicure basins are lined with plastic. All impliments came out of a fresh, sealed bag. Very very sanitary place. They push upgrades- but I don't care, don't be a baby. Get what you want. They do a great job. Also got a Pink and White fill and it was equally great. Will definitely be back. Read Less

I went here and had a questionable spot on my thumb-they paid no attention to it, and it started to fester-a week later I returned to have it looked at, and it was a FUNGUS!!  They took absolutely NO precautions in treating it-drilling it out and a piece of my nail actually fell out!!  They did not clean or sterilize the drill or files which could lead the fungus to b transferred to other people!  They should take fungus seriously and NOT seal it in with another fill.  I was upset and the girl was yelling at me in front of other customers. Many of the girls working here are so rude. When I go for pedicures and I'm sitting there in the chair with them they talk to each other, rolling their eyes, making negative facial gestures, laughing, complaining, obviously talking about me and their other customers. They make it so obvious. I tip very well and they know it, yet they are disrespectful. I stopped going there. No problems with attitudes at the other places I go. Read Less

They did a great job on my pedi and then started rushing when they got to my manicure.  It looks like a toddler painted my nails.  There's nail polish all over my fingers.   Very disappointing.  They were also very rude.  Even though they weren't speaking English, it was obvious that the staff was talking about customers.  They were laughing so hard that they had to leave the room at one point.  It was very uncomfortable. This may be a very nice facility to get your nails done. It's overly priced and the people there were really rude. The color came out wait to light for my friend and so she wanted a darker color over it they had such an Attitude about it. My color didn't match the swatch that I picked from. These people where so rude! Not just one but all employees. After we were told to take a seat I go to sit down and this guy goes, STOP DONT SIT THERE. My mom and I can't even sit next to each other. We said thank you but we will go somewhere else, and a lady rudely goes EXCUSE ME. I felt so uncomfortable and the vibes were horrible. Shame that such a beautiful place has such horrible staff. What a crappy place run by a bunch of shady, dishonest people. I called and requested my favorite nail technician "Tee" and was told she went on vacation. I asked when she would be back and they told me she would be gone for a long time. The next day, I ran into her at Starbucks and guess where she works?? Nails Paradise, right across the street!!! As it turned out, she was unhappy with their unethical business practice and their poor treatment of customers. Putting two and two together, I concluded that the current owner didn't want to me to know she left, perhaps thinking that would damage their "reputation". Came here for nail appoitment at 4 that I made over a week prior. I walked in and it  seemed like everyone else had an appoitment at the same time, I was scheduled for just a pedi and a no chip mani. The woman doing my toes didn't say one word to me and was extremely rude. Then they sat me down for a half hour to wait for my nails to be done. My friend I came with was completly finished before I stared my nails! Seems pretty bogus when I had an appoitment. Then the woman who started my nails got up and walked away and never came back! So then another lady came over to finish my nails. The nails look fine, despite the fact that my fingers were bleeding and burning in the light they have you put your nails under. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone seems they don't mind making their customers feel like they have an appoitment but then making them wait forever as if they walked in.Customer service fail. Press-on nails from Walgreens would have looked nicer. I LOVE this place. It's very relaxing. Great environment. I'm very picky with the shape of my nails and Hollywood Nails is the only place in the aria that will listen to me. My mother has been coming here for months and raved about it, so the last time I was in town I checked it out. I only went for a polish change, but I was impressed with the cleanliness and natural light the salon had - I'm so used to dark places that reek of chemicals!  There was still the chemically smell, but definitely not as bad. We made an appointment and boy am I glad we did - by the time we left there was a line of at least 6 people!My nail girl (Hong Kong) is my mom's usual go-to gal but while she got a polish change on her toes (with Hollywood, another good nail tech), Hong Kong took good care of me. She was chatty (but not too) and spent a good amount of time on my nails, despite me getting the cheapest option in the salon ($8!!). For the polish change, they don't clean up your cuticles but they do shape the nails and as of 10 days later, the polish is still on and still looking good. I normally shy away from manicures because its maddening how quickly the polish chips off, but the polish they use is good quality and Hong Kong gave me two coats of top coat (and stopped me from leaving "too early" for her liking!) I'd definitely go back. My mom's toes came out looking good as well, and Hollywood was nice enough to indulge her and give a few of her finger nails a touch up swipe w the polish. Thanks for treating us well even though we were getting the cheapest service - it was a really nice way to "splurge"!  I look forward to our next trip out to see you all. Just a heads up b/c my mom had some confusion on this - you CAN pay for your services w credit cards, but they do appreciate tips in cash. My mom seemed to think it was cash only. Read Less

By far the worst place that I've gone to. I called twice and got two different prices for a no chip manicure. Then when I get there, I get told a different price! There's no price sheet, anywhere in the building. I ended up paying $50.00 for a no chip manicure!  One week has gone by... There is chipping all over,  the tip of my nail polish from the French is turning yellow! I don't use any tanning lotion or anything to cause my nails to turn orange/yellow. I was feeling that I could never find a nice nail salon as the one I loved in Glen Ellyn.. but today I did , Hollywood Nails in Huntley.. Noi gave one of the best pedicure's I've had .. no TV's, no cell phones, no chatting .. quiet & peaceful . and the best part , before they finished with a warm lotion all over your legs & feet, they turned down the lights above your head so you can relax..    I hope they continue this awesome service  :) Read Less

Decor/ambience pretty cute. The place is new and they dim the lights when they are massaging you during your pedicure. They have a wine selection but my mom and I were not offered any in our girls day out excursion. The music is classical and makes you relax. The price was a bit higher than other places which is a bummer cuz I didn't think the service was stellar... For a newer place I would have thought the pedi chairs would be better at massaging and colors more trendy or on display in a better way. When I first walked in they said go to the back, I was like where can I pick my color? They just answer in the back in the back. Sometimes we have to remember that we are in a work  environment, and be respectful of your clients time. My nail tech was on her phone while doing my manicure. They kept insisting on no chip manicure a little pushy. Feel for $15. Manicure it was really bad service. Staff unprofessional and not pleasant. This was the first time that I have tried this salon. I took my two daughters and myself in for pedicures. I have MANY complaints about this experience. However, the biggest one is that this was the worst pedicure I have ever had. The guy who did mine spoke no English. Like when I said "stop that hurts", he didn't. I had to tell him 3 times before his coworker told him in his language. As if the pain was not enough, the color is terrible. I think he did two coats on just 3 or 4 nails. My youngest daughter also had pain and bleeding with her pedicure. They cut her too close. No apologies from either person!  I would NEVER go back here, nor would I recommend Hollywood to anyone. Went in for a pedicure, the woman who greated me barely spoke English and the woman who did my pedicure did not speak English.  I figured this out because she was massaging so hard it was hurting and she didn't understand lighter please so I had to use hand gestures for her to understand.  Needless to say I ended up with some slight bruising on my right ankle, my right big toe was filed on a slant and is now infected.
