The first time I went to this salon was back in August and I remember being so excited to go to this salon because I saw such amazing reviews. This was the first time ever that I was going to dye my hair so many hair was really healthy and I wanted to keep the damage to a minimum. The first time I got my hair bleached/dyed, I loved it. It wasn’t the exact blonde color I was going for but it didn’t look bad so I didn’t really mind because I was told it would take a couple sessions to get to the color I wanted. I came back to the salon for a second time a month later to get my roots touched up and continue the process of getting my hair lightened and at first it looked fine. It wasn’t until about a week later after the touch up that I started noticing patchiness in the color of my hair. Keep in mind I’ve been using the appropriate products for my hair to protect the color and against damage and I had only washed it once during that first week. By the time I went back to the salon for the third time, my hair was this awful orange color with so much patchiness but my hair stylist said she could fix it so I just thought, okay I trust you. About the third week after she “fixed” my hair, you could see that my hair went from dark brown roots, then cut straight off into this blonde-orange color, then again into this awful brass color, and then the very bottom layer of hair was this pale yellow color. My hair was getting more and more damaged everytime I went back so at this point I was horrified to even go back and try to get her to fix it. The lady who colored my hair just didn’t seem to get the idea of the color and style I was going for even though I showed her the exact same picture everytime I came in and that she was supposed to be using as reference. My hair looked nothing like what I showed her even though she said that it would. I ended up switch salons because I was so disappointed by the results and it wasn’t worth all the money that I was paying for her to just keep damaging my hair everytime and not getting the results I wanted. Even though my new salon is further from home, my new stylist was able to do an incredible color correction even after seeing all the damage that was done to my hair. She knows exactly what my goal is for my hair, I don’t have to keep reminding her of what I want or what my name is during my appointments and she’s just as excited as I am about getting my hair to the final results.
