She tried to rush my service but couldnt since shes not skilled enough, asked me to pay the second she put the top coat on ( as I'm still stilling on the chair) .. give me a min to walk over to the reception area please? Love Mani & Pedi! The staff is so nice. Their prices are reasonable and a GREAT value for what you get. I think the manicures and pedicures last longer than services from other nail salons. They offer standard polish, 7-day polish and no-chip polish. The awesome massages included with nail services is the best part! Highly highly recommend. I've been getting no chip manicures for years and never have I had such a horrible experience!!  First, the manicurist used her own finger nail to remove the gel from my fingers, gross!  Next, she proceeded to go thru the no chip process and it was poorly done.  The nail polish was unevenly applied!  But the worse thing was 2 days later 2 nails completely cracked, and 1 nail chipped.  I went pack and she sprinkled some powder and glue on my nails to repair the crack which left my nails bumpy and uneven.  The next day, the same nails cracked again!!Will never go back. Not very clean, tired looking and stuff piled up here there & everywhere. Staff wasn't friendly and no one said a word to me after "pick your color".  The pedicure was done so fast that it was actually painful.....filing carelessly at top speed, poking me with the clippers and yanking my feet around. Well I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to get out of this place within an hour. My concerns were quelled 3 minutes  into the pedicure, done in 25 minutes! I went here based on positive reviews and needed to kill time in the area. Then I looked more closely at the other reviewers profiles while getting my pedicure. Duh! Most of them had very few reviews. The pedicure was less than desired, much less, but it wasn't just that that earned this place 1 star. The place is filthy and disheveled. Products everywhere, uncovered and unkempt. The staff is dressed like they are ready for housecleaning and terribly unfriendly. I'm going to stick with the chain by my house which by the way charges $6 less than this place for a very good to excellent pedicure that is no less than an hour long. Read Less

I came here because I was in the neighborhood and I'm sorry to say I literally had THE worst pedicure of my life here. The woman never said hello to me, never spoke, never asked me any questions and the whole thing took less than 20 minutes. No massage no time spent pampering it was quick in and out. TERRIBLE!!! Great service here! I decided do try this place based on the Yelp reviews and because it's pretty close to my work. I wanted to try somewhere different than my usual nail salon. My usual nail salon by my house used to be real good. A no chip manicure would last me a month. Last two times I've gone, they have done a crappy job. I went to Mani & Pedi after work today. I was told to pick a color and got seated right away. Not only was the nail tech very nice and friendly, but they give you a shoulder massage at the end and my nails look great!! I've never had a mani done (I'm a guy) but I came in for the first time because some friends convinced me. I have to say that this place set the bar high. I don't know how other places operate but let me tell you the mani was out of this world. Not only was I getting me nails cleaned but the message was A1! Highly recommend this place! I can't see myself getting a mani anywhere else! The staff are very kind and prices are fair! The lady that took care of me was called Nicole. I can't speak for the other employees and their nail cleaning skills but I can tell you that all customers around me seemed to be enjoying it just as much as I was!! Five Star establishment! I went to mani and pedi for all of my homecomings and every once in awhile to just get my nails and toes freshened up and it's just great. I run a lot and have callouses and they smooth my feet out while being very gentle at the same time. As soon as you walk in the doors everything is very high quality and clean. You would think a nail salon that looks that great would be expensive but the prices are all very affordable. Their costumer service is great and have so many variety of colors! I don't know what the previous review was about but I absolutely adore this nail salon! It's a hidden gem in Downtown Hinsdale and they opened up in 2006. I graduated from Hinsdale Central in 2006 but seriously wish they were around when I was in high school! The owners are super sweet and stayed open just to help me get a manicure fix on New Year's eve! WITHOUT an appointment! They're quick but they pay a lot of attention to detail and cleaning! I was in a rush for my NYE plans but I would definitely come back here in a heartbeat! They have a million colors to choose from and the decor of the salon is simply divine! Ask for Nicole! She's the best, but I'm sure the others are just as great! And never forget to tip your nail technician! Oh and it's BYOB ;) who doesn't love BYOB!? Read Less

WARNING-This place uses very, very old nail polishes. When I was getting my nails done, the color I have selected was very old and had little left in the bottle, it seemed like it was the same with all the other polishes there. When the nail technician painted the first coat, it came out really thick. When I told the person the coat was too thick for me, she went to the back and poured some nail polish thinner and put it on my nails. I am not a big fan of nail polish thinners because once you mix the thinners with the nail polish. the nail polish tend to chip faster than the bottle that doesn't contain one. But with this place, I realized every time, they are always stingy about the left over, thick nail polish at the bottom of the bottle, EVEN WITH THE TOP COAT!!! Because of this thinner containing nail polishes, I never get the glossy effect we can all get at home, just by using a regular Essie or OPI nail polishes. And voila, it chips right the next day. They charge $16 for regular manicure and it is a hefty price if all you are getting is a blob of nail polish thinner, with less than fifty percent of genuine Essie, OPI nail polish.Calling in for appointments-I called for an appointment many times at this place. Few out of many times, this person called Michelle picks up and recommends herself as my request. Because my previous experience with her was not very pleasant (she is chatty and tries to make you remember her name and the days she works), I decline and she goes on to pressuring me to request her friend technician (she goes on to recommend). There are many nail technicians who are exceptionally better than her at this place, and I feel it is not fair for the call receiver to decide whomever I can request. So whenever I cal inl, I just hope that it isn't Michelle who picks up the phone. I have never experienced this with other salons in the area and I plan to change my nail salon to another place next time. Read Less
