I made an appointment today with Chen to be advised no longer at salon. The nail technician was rude and my nails are absolutely horrific. Thick and all directions. I paid very good money and very disgusted. She was super quick and rushed to get next client. I've been a customer for years.....needless to say will find new salon. dropped of my teenage daughter and her friend for a manicure while I did some shopping. I returned an hour later texting my daughter I was out front waiting. After another hour I went into the shop and they were finally being waited on. My daughter came out a few minutes later saying the staff had been playing on their phones while my daughter and her friend waited. My daughter also said she wasn't shown a price list for services. I went into the store and asked how long it would be. They all began talking in their native language (Korean I think) and had a few giggles. I got a manicure and pedicure they are very racist and don't ask you what you want! I asked for a design and she said look on google so I did and while I was looking she just started painting. My friend got fake nails and the lady didn't even make them even and the person next to her who was their culture made sure they were even and took her time! They are was over priced! I came to this location every two weeks for over ten years for facial waxing, manicures, and pedicures. The only issue I ever had was that appointments were never honored. Their primary focus is walk-in business. I only ever stopped getting my face waxed here because I moved to another state. Naturally, since I'm home visiting, I thought I'd pop in for my wax. What would normally be 5 stars I have to downgrade to four. In terms of price versus quality and service I've always felt there were few better. Today, however, was not good. My cosmologist waxed the same spot multiple times. She did not use a fresh cloth for each wax strip application. Her touch was much rougher than anything I've experienced (and I've been waxing since I was 12. Yay, hirsutism!) The eyebrows were thinner and shorter than usual, even taking into consideration how thin salons tend to make them. Finally, she pressed my eye so hard I saw spots for five minutes afterward. very professional very sanitary have been struggling with 1 big toe having nail fungus and treating for 2 years. Trust only to them because I know their sanitation procedures... I know they would not pass it to any one else and they were very helpful in suggesting prevention once controlled and eleminnated .I Felt very pampered. and the price list is given to me each time to pick from. I have been receiving manicures, facial waxes, and pedicures at this location since I was 15. There a few older individuals who provide fantastic service. The rest seem to fall to the wayside. They have reasonable prices, and do a good job. But I'm not impressed with their people skills. The woman doing my pedi was good at her job, but basically said nothing to me, and talked to her co-worker next to us the entire time in their language. 3 employees working on a Friday. Waited 30 minutes, which is okay without appt. The only employee giving manicures, was very rushed. I wanted a gel manicure. When I was done, she said $26.00. I said, how much? $26.00. For a manicure?? Went to there website, manicure is listed for $16.00. Even if she would have added her own gratuity, it still wouldn't have been that much. We're in Highland a few times a year to visit family and I usually end up wanting a pedicure (or possibly just a little time away from family?) while we're there. I've driven by this place a few times and wondered about stopping in but always thought that it would be a tiny little nail salon and they wouldn't be able to handle walk-ins. I WAS SO WRONG!We finally stopped in this past weekend and I was shocked by how big it is inside. There are probably 20 pedicure chairs ... a few are even especially made for little girl pedicures (seriously, they were so cute). They took us both right away and the pedicures were both pretty good. Prices were reasonable and they offered a few different options.
