I live in Chicago  - and yes, I will make the drive out to HP any time to get my makeup and skincare from here! They carry nothing but the best products, have the most knowledgeable staff and always feel like a VIP while there. I was first introduced to this place at last year's Fashion Night Out - and was just blown away. Well, yesterday sealed the deal for me enough to make me want to write this review. I stopped in to pick up some skincare items and brought up some new concerns I was having about my face to Constantine, the manager. He asked me all the right targeted questions and then conferred with his staff member, Marina. Together the suggested various options (I have very  sensitive skin), we sampled various products and they decided on a customized skincare regimen that would suit my concerns. AND THEN...they invited me to experience that skincare regimen in the form of an on-site facial! (I posted a picture of this - you must check it out!) They suggested the glycolic treatment and I'm soooo happy they did! A plush robe, soothing spa music and ten minute later, I was relaxing on the massage table while Marina administered my facial in a beautifully curtained off section of the store, which felt completely private and relaxing. I noticed that the employees went out of their way to whisper and catch the phone on the first ring so as not to disturb my experience. WOW. Afterwards my face felt like it had never felt before - so unbelievably smooth and hydrated. I felt like a million bucks.As if that wasn't enough, afterwards they presented customized fragrance options as well when I inquired about the unique labels they carry.This place is not inexpensive but you know when you go it will be WORTH every minute and every penny you spend there. Their truly customized, VIP service is something I haven't found in any other store. I also suggested that they keep the facial pop-up indefinitely or at least have it multiple times per year. My daughter had her prom makeup done beautifully here. They do not charge, but you must purchase three items. Do not be afraid to ask prices. Everything is high end and the price of the product might end up being way more than you would want to pay for a makeup session. Read Less

So, I am not really a makeup person so I was slightly apprehensive about going to Cos Bar. Just got home from a private makeup party with 5 girlfriends. We had a blast. The makeup artists were wonderful and made it all so fun. Karyn instantly put me at ease and I totally trusted her. All of us walked out looking fabulous! Very natural looks. My friend had recommended I go to Cos Bar to have my makeup done for my niece's wedding so I did just that last weekend.  I was beyond thrilled with the way I looked when I walked out and in a few pictures I've seen taken from a cell phone.  All the staff were so kind, sweet and attentive.  While one gal applied makeup, another massaged my neck and shoulders knowing I was tense and she was free at the time!  I bought a few of the products which were used and recommended from various cosmetic lines to use at home.  I will be sure to book again for future special events! My friends and I had a make-up party at Cos Bar. We had so much fun! Karen and her team did an amazing job with our makeup. We all felt beautiful yet natural.In addition to make-up, they had wine, fruit, cheese and crackers. Service makes the difference.Living near downtown HP means you have a lot of opportunity to spend your hard-earned cash on some retail therapy. What makes Cos Bar different is that they treat you like a neighborhood friend instead of just a sale. I was blown away by the handwritten thank-you note that I received after my first purchase there. I've been shopping for my makeup needs there ever since.Their product selection is great, but you can get some of the products anywhere. What you can't take for granted is the tangible friendliness and A-1 service experience.I spend more time laughing with them when I'm trying out a new look or product than I do with some of my girlfriends. I want to like Cos Bar.  I really do.  I have been there many times. Initially thought they just had some growing pains.  But their pains have become mine.  What a mess.  They can't keep staff - revolving door.  The staff don't know how to run the register.  Enormous amounts of lost time while they try to figure out how to ring you up.  Always running behind - seriously behind - for scheduled appointments.  They don't know the product and can never find what you want because the drawers are always messed up with wrong items in the wrong place.  Shop Cos Bar in Aspen but not HP.
