Visited this place while visiting a friend back in June. We had seen pictures, but we weren’t exactly sure what to expect. My friend and I arrived a bit before the peak hours on a Saturday night. The decor is like a retro salon and is very cool! The place is pretty small, but we still had a great time! The bartenders were fast, fun and friendly. The music was a great mix of newer music and some older favourites. My only complaint was that the lines for the restrooms were a bit long, but that’s not a huge deal. We will be back soon! Best nail salon in Granite city! All of the nail techs speak English which makes me feel so comfortable and welcome and once you come a few times they also start to greet you by name, they don't take appointments unless it's a wedding party or big group but walk-ins are always welcome and if there is a wait I promise it is worth it!! Well I decided to give Michelle's Nails one more shot...and 3 strikes you are out. I called there and asked if there was a wait and if they could get me in and Sam said sure, now mind you I called them while sitting at the stop light on RT 3 and Pontoon RD. I walked in and Michelle proceeds to tell me they are too busy that I would need to come back tomorrow and when I said I just called she tells me they have appointments coming in...but wait they don't take appointments. This place is the best in Granite City by far! I've been to two other shops, and neither even came close to the quality I've received here. I've gotten a pedicure, a gel manicure, and a full set of acrylic nails put on, and have been happy every time! Can't say i was at all satisfied with this place at all. Went in there for the first time on my birthday. To get my toes and nails done. The girl that did my nails was rude!! Then the girl that did my nails was rude asked me when was the last time i had my toes done. I said it's been awhile. Then she said what about a year!! I love this place. I won't go anywhere else. I usually get just a set or fill in with no polish cause I do my own designs. They really understand and even asked to see my designs. They are very nice.
