Great place to go. Lots of employees and you don't usually have to wait very long, although an appointment on Saturday is recommended because it gets busy. Also must note that this is the only place I like to get my eyebrows waxed. She does it perfectly. They are big on upsells so know if you are agreeing to something you will pay for it. Recommended. I am also a frequent customer at Five Star Nails and will be looking for a new nail salon. I am so appalled to hear about the response my colleague received when calling the owner regarding her nail experience. I have lived in this community for 25 years and worked in this community for 14 years. I was a bit concerned when learning that this business was going under new management/owner. I'll have to share my colleague's experience with others that I know who frequent this business. Five Star Nails-you owe Elizabeth an immediate apology. Your response is unacceptable and goes against customer service practice.  Remember there are at least four other nail salons within the area that are competing for business. Elizabeth is a person of integrity and one of the most caring persons I know. She would never share a complaint unless is was extremely warranted and based on other reviews the "cutting" seems to be happening more than a couple times. Looks like a few techs might need retraining. I haven't met this owner.......but you better rethink your customer service practice or you'll be out of business in no time! Read Less

Terrible customer service and just bad service all around. The lighting is so bad in there that i couldn't see the lumpy looking job they did on me. I just wanted a plain peach colored no chip and i ended up with this ugly pink. She missed the corners of my nails which is annoying since my nails are pretty long. I took my niece, 5 years old, to get her nails painted and they didn't place her in the pedicure chair when they did her toes, shooshed her that she was too loud when she answered a direct question from them, and just left her sitting there without pedicure sandals or instructions that she could put in her shoes. I just carried her out with speed in hand since I couldn't get out of there fast enough. I paid $50 total for her Mani/pedi, my lumpy no chip and $3 tip for each lady. I tip well for decent/good service and I regret tipping at all. Read Less

I don't think I would recommend getting waxing done here. Got wax all over my top lip, which smeared onto my bottom when she tried to remove it. I would be back for a manicure if I'm ever short on time. It was the shortest manicure I've ever gotten, but the results were adequate- nails filed, cuticles tidied up and nails polished. Literally the basic of the basic. If you're looking for a quick in-and-out polish change, this is your spot. If you're looking to feel somewhat pampered, look elsewhere. Read Less

This is definitely one of the cleanest and nicest nail salons in the area. I have always had a great experience here and their prices are very reasonable. I have had a number of their pedicures and manicures. I think they go a little overboard with all of the things they do for a pedicure (salt scrub, paraffin, lotion, oils, etc.) but I am pretty sure I am unusual in this regard. My pedicures last forever. And my no chip manicures last about 2 weeks until my new growth shows, which is usually the only reason I need to go back. I've never had a no chip from here peel or chip. I came in yesterday to get my nails done for an interview. I expected the techs to be personable and accommodating like my experiences at other places. When I arrived a woman asked what I wanted then got upset that I only wanted a no chip manicure....Not a pedicure as well. Then I sat down and waited about 15 minutes for someone to get to me. When they did, they said it was an extra $5 to get a matte top coat?? Then while she was doing my nails, she didn't give me the shape I wanted and when I asked her to fix two of them, she didn't. She also was doing two other people's nails while doing mine!!! I could not believe that. She would get up, go to someone else and then come back. No respect to my time or money whatsoever. Davy is my only go-to girl! (She always offers water or coffee when I come in) I love when she does my nails, she knows exactly what she's doing, and keeps conversations to a minimum which allows me to relax. Pedicures are great here too! I tell the ladies what I would like and the color and that's it... Just throw on my headphones, get the chair massager going and just relax. The staff understands you just want some quite time which I need when doing my nails. This place might have some bad reviews but I do enjoy my time here when I come in.Read Less
