I’m very disappointed in this place. I went for a pedicure & to have my nails done because I had my card stamped all the way to get half off. It was my first time to get a pedicure here& the girl doing the pedicure kept pointing at the $ 42 one, so that’s what I decided on. After getting both the pedicure & my nails done, I was charged $69 for the pedicure! The pedicure was nice, but not for that price! I have never paid that much for a pedicure, nor will I ever again!! I love this place. I have gone to Zaza multiple times and my nails have turned out amazing. All of the people are artists and I definetly reccommend this place. I’ve had bad experiences here several times before but the lady who usually does my nails at Posh was booked all day so I thought I’d give it another try. I will never make that mistake again. I asked for powder pink and white ombré. At posh they sprinkle the powder on so it creates a very natural, pretty pink and white look. At ZaZa she started painting the pink on and I told her I didn’t like the look so I had to soak my hands in acetone to get it off. They didn’t even get all of t off and my hands are so dry now and some of my nails are glued to my skin. She also burned every nail before she applied tips. It was awful. They let me leave like this. The service quality has gone down a Lot. Unfortunately the last several visits myself and friends have been dissatisfied with our service. They ate in a hurry to get everyone so they aren't doing quality work. I went in with longer length nail and I was getting my gel polish redone, I asked for my nails to be cut down just a little and my tech was playing with his phone, listening to music in his ear buds and began hacking at my nails. Unfortunately once the first couple were cut down I had to just go with it. They barely we're past the tip of my finger when he was done, then didn't even ask about the shape I wanted just began filing and shaping which shorten my nails even more and I didn't like the shape. I have been to several nail places in the glen carbon/Edwardsville and Belleville areas and Zaza is  simply the best. They are open to your needs and always do a great job. If you ask for an alteration they oblige with pleasure and no push back. Now I don't go anywhere else! Read Less

Best service I have received at a nail salon thus far. On my first visit, I tried something new with my nails, and after getting home, I realized how much I wasn't satisfied with what I had chosen. I called the following day to ask if I could come back and change them, and they told me not to worry that if I wasn't happy with them they would re-do them free of charge. They definitely went above and beyond to make sure their customer was satisfied. Let me begin by saying that I really wanted to love this place because of all the great reviews - especially since I felt like I knew what to expect. Unfortunately, I was not impressed and left there feeling embarrassed and ready to cry. Let's start at the beginning. When I walked in, I was promptly greeted and brought back to a pedicure station within 5 minutes. The place was clean and like others have said - it was crowded (which is a good thing for business). I sat at the station for over 5 minutes and then was asked to move to another chair where I sat for another 5 minutes. I had the "menu" thrown at me that only included the "fancy" pedicures. I asked if they had a basic and they told me yes and then any polite treatment I had experienced to that point ended. The pedicure was okay - maybe lasted 15 minutes - and the water was cold the entire time. While she was putting on my flip flops she hit my big toe with her finger and got upset with me because she had to redo the toe. After that, she packed up her things and walked off. She came back and told me she would take my payment. Upon coming back, she put a little clear coat on the toe she has to redo and then was done. I noticed that a toenail was extremely crooked and that no clear polish was going to be placed on the other toes. I asked the lady who greeted me if she could have someone fix it. She told the lady who did my pedicure to come fix it and then came back to me and said the lady did put on the clear polish. I explained to her that she didn't and asked if she could just bring me a fingernail file and clear polish and I would fix it myself. At that point, a guy who worked there came up and asked if I wanted a manicure (for the 3rd time, I told someone there no - just a pedicure). He then asked me to move to a drying station. The lady who greeted me explained to him why I was waiting there and he said that my feet looked fine for getting a basic pedicure and that the girl put on clear polish (mind you, he wasn't even working in the pedicure area). At this point, I asked to leave and for help lifting the chair handle so I could go. No one would help me and the lady who greeted me kept talking really loud and telling me to calm down. Everyone was staring at me and I wanted nothing more than to leave and cry. Needless to say, I will try another nail place before I give them another chance. So I came to this place with my aunt to get our nails done and after reading the good reviews, i thought it was going to be worth it. The place itself is nice and clean but can get super busy. Luckily I didn't have to wait that long but I think because of how busy it gets, they kind of rushed doing my manicure. I got the most basic set of manicure done with choosing one solid color that's powder dipped and a set of basic acrylic nails. I was not much of a fan of the shape they did on my nails. Also one of my nails was a little crooked. So for a basic set of nails I thought they didn't do a good job since I didn't ask for designs or anything extravagant. I went in and asked for a gel manicure. The man said that the dip powder lasts longer, so I said OK. And that's the only reason I didn't give them a 1 star rating, because I actually like the powder. Other than that, it was the sorriest excuse for a "manicure" that I've ever had. I paid $30 for him to leave polish on my fingers, pay no attention to my cuticles or the skin around my nails at all, or even put lotion on my hands. The environment is ok, nothing special. I am not impressed with the pedi I got either. I was in the area for a couple of days and checked out the reviews for the area. This place had pretty good reviews, so I gave it a try. The lady who did my pedi could speak almost no English and I'm pretty good with understanding those who are English learners. She could understand nothing I said. I got one of the upper level/more expensive pedis and what I received was more like a basic pedi where I come from. No massage, no real scrub, nothing extra. The polish looks fine, but I had to ask for her to take the polish off of the skin. Not what I am used to. I guess next time I will make sure I get these things taken care of before leaving Texas. I think my expectations for this place were too high after seeing the great reviews. I also hardly ever get manicures and pedicures. I've gotten my nails done maybe five times in my entire life. When I walked in, they were a little busy however a lot of the customers were almost finished so I decided to wait. I didn't make an appointment. I went in on a Friday morning at 11. The staff was friendly. The place seemed cleaned and well organized. The staff told me to pick out what color I wanted. I picked out two colors. I've seen some women have their nails painted a solid color but their ring finger they get painted a pretty glitter color. I wanted mine to look the same. I sat down at the manicure table. Told them what I wanted. But the guy doing my nails kept pushing the powder dip colors. I finally gave in and said that was fine. I explained what I wanted but their was a language barrier. Which could have been my fault because when it comes to manicures and pedicures, my jargon in that subject is not well versed. I figured oh well. The color turned out good but I was disappointed in the way it looked. It didn't look all that great to me. I thought maybe it was just me and I was being too picky. So after my manicure was done, I waited to get my pedicure. They got busy at that time so I had to wait a little bit for my turn. So I had to pick out another color for my pedicure. I tried to find a color that matched best to my manicure. Because I assume they didn't do the powder dip for pedicures. And honestly after how my manicure turned out, I didn't want it. I finally got seated and they gave me a menu to pick out what pedicure package I wanted. I picked out the Milk and Honey package. My heels become dry and crack a lot in the summer time. That's my favorite part of pedicures is getting all the dead skin off and getting softer looking heels. The lady who did my pedicure was friendly and did a decent job. However, she didn't do much with my heels like I have seen other salons do. So I was bummed about that. After my pedicure was done, she took me to their massage chairs. They were nice but by then it was 1:20 and I was ready to leave. I went to pay at the front counter. My bill was $73. I knew it was going to be pricey but I just wasn't thrilled with my service. I've paid around that price at other salons but I loved the job they did. Here, not so much. I figured maybe because they were so busy they didn't focus on the small details. I think if you know exactly what you want and explain that to them and not feel pressured to get their recommendations, then this place might be okay. Very satisfied with nails, owner is very helpful. I was happy to reconnect with him. I am not satisfied at all with the service that I receive when getting a basic pedicure or a polish change on toes . If you don't choose to get a deluxe pedicure they hardly ddo anything . You are then rush out of cchair. It's even worse for a polish change . After sitting and waiting for someone to service you, when someone comes to change your polish they act as though you are bothering them . I was beyond excited to go try thus place because of how much i have heard about it. When i walked in i was wow-ed. Everything is so pretty and clean. I was super impressed. The lady doing my pedi was nice, but a little pushy when it comes to adding on servies. Thats how she is guna make money tho so i understand. On to my nails, the polish is so prettty but she did a poor job everywhere else. She cut my nails crooked and didnt file any of them so theyre all rough. She was also super lazy when it comes to getting the dead skin off my feet. Theres obvious places that needed to be taken care of. Her english was poor so I was unable to communicate w her so I could get these this fixed so I gave up. As a licensed cosmetologist I am always on the look out for a great nail salon that complies with state board when it comes to sanitation and I found my place! Will definitely be coming back. I loved it until I went in Friday night. I live in St. Louis so for me to travel to glen carbon (30 minutes) I obviously loved this place. Signed in around 5:35 pm. There was a group of girls maybe 10 of them in front of me. The group all got in chairs within 30 mins or so. Thought I'd be going next considering I was the only one waiting. About 30 other girls come sign in. I remember the one girl asked what time it was... 6:10 pm. Still patiently waiting to get my nails filled. The host guy starred at me a million times so I figured I was next. They had about 5 girls finish their nails so they started calling back new people. They completely skipped over my name on the list. The time was now 6:43. I waited an hour and 10 minutes to be skipped over and not even asked if I needed something. I signed on to your list to be serviced like everyone else. IF SOMEONE IS SITTING IN YOUR LOBBY FOR AN HOUR MAYBE YOU SHOULD ASK IF THEY NEED SOMETHING. obviously. I shouldn't have to walk to the counter and ask why I'm not being serviced. I feel as if that's your job. I don't cause scenes or like complaining. I'm not gonna go up there and make someone else sit down and wait when their name got called because your host guy can't do his one job. I just got up and walked out after girls who came in at 610 were getting manicures and I'm still sitting alone unhelped. I love ZaZa's! The atmosphere is great and they also serve wine(if you're of age) to add to the relaxing atmosphere. I usually just get a gel fill and a pedicure. I found this place on accident. And I'm so glad I did. The service here is fantastic!!! They really have excellent customer service. Everyone is so nice. The salon its self is absolutely beautiful!!! Excellent customer service. We had to wait 5 minutes after our scheduled appointment. But they were crazy busy at 11am. But no one seemed to have to wait long at all. They had people in and out of there. It was our first time there(me and my daughter) they served us a glass of champagne during our manicure. Very nice place and all, seemed clean too, but it felt like I was skimped out on. Both my mani and pedi were done in a quick amount of time so it felt like she was rushing so she could get to the next customer or talk to her friends. I loved coming here for a pedicure and gel manicure! Very friendly and competent staff. I absolutely LOVE this place! The prices are great, the service is great, and the job that they do on my nails is amazing!I love that when I walk in the door, I get greeted with a smile. I'm usually asked what I want, before I even sign in and even when I don't have an appointment, they still manage to get me taken care of. This is a very chic nail salon with a great atmosphere and a wide selection of services! The staff is very friendly and they make you feel right at home, especially Jenny and Ricky.
