I just moved to Matteson a few weeks ago, and was looking for a new nail salon to replace my favourite salon back home. Mystique has good reviews, so I decided to give them a shot and am *very* happy I did. Everyone there was extremely friendly - chatting or remaining quiet, whichever I wanted. My usual headache was particularly bad, so I wasn't really up to much chatting. My tech was friendly, asking how exactly I wanted my nails done and such. Once that was done, he let me sit quietly, responding with a smile or a few words whenever I spoke. The salon itself is clean and neat. Most importantly, at least for me, Mystique *smells* clean. I'm incredibly sensitive to chemical odors; if a place smells like nail polish, I can't stand to be in it for even a few minutes. Mystique is so clean and well-ventilated, I couldn't smell polish even when he was painting my nails. The prices are also good - well within reason. I highly recommended going to Mystique. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! I got my nails done a couple days ago by a guy who though stiletto shape was the same as coffin shape. He made my nails too thin and refused to use a new file. After he finally finished my nails 2 hours later, they looked like I needed a fill-in ALREADY. When I asked for a refund the lady with glasses ( manager) got a terrible attitude and rushed me out. DONT EVER GO TO THIS PLACE. Horrible customer service and clueless nail technician who need to go to school to learn proper techniques. Read Less

First off their under staffed so the wait was long... when I was finally seated for my mani /pedi I was very disappointed... The pedicure wasn't thorough at all..She barely scrubbed my feet.... it took like 6mins...She didn't put any moisturizer on my feet at all..but that's not the worst part...When it was time to do my manicure she grabbed the cuticle cutters to get started and thank God I noticed before she went to cut my cuticles that it was already full of somebody else's dead skin!!!! When I told her she didn't apologize or nothing...she just got up and rinsed them off!!!! Gross!!! At that point I didn't even let her finish... I just got up and ended the session and paided for my over priced pedicure that lasted 6min ($27.00).. when I told the owner he offered no apology... he looked at me like I was mental and said I'll talk to her...
