I walked into this place and was immediately ignored by all 3 service members at the front desk, even though I had seen them watching me approach. 2 turned away and started to shuffle papers, and the ...
I walked into this place and was immediately ignored by all 3 service members at the front desk, even though I had seen them watching me approach. 2 turned away and started to shuffle papers, and the other busied herself with a computer. When I was finally acknowledged by the one on the computer she didn't even look at me when she asked "Can I check you in?" It was clear she already knew the answer to this question. When I inquired about a service she told me they were all booked up for the day and then proceeded to tell me "Goodbye, and have a nice day." She didn't ask me if I wanted to schedule at another time or if she could help in any other way. This came as a shock as the spa was recommended highly by 2 of my close friends. Shame on you, Egea.

I came in for a med spa consult. As I write this it's almost 30 minutes past my appointment time-plus I was here early to fill out paperwork. The staff only once apologized for the delay. I should walk out but I'm giving them a few more minutes. Update:Ok, so I decided to leave and when I told them I was leaving they told me I could come back on Wednesday night when they have an open house. Yeah....I don't think so.

I recently had a massage with a master level therapist. She was fantastic. She listened to my request of areas to focus on and pressure preference. The massage table was heated which was very comfortable and cozy for the winter. The locker area is always clean and the robe is soft.
My one complaint is the service staff. I accidentally left a pair of earrings behind in the locker. I called LESS than 2 hours later to ask if they had been found/if they could be looked for. The receptionist took my name and phone number but she did not even BOTHER to ask what the earrings looked like or what locker I had used....all things that you think would be helpful in order to find the earrings when there's a decent chance the could turn up...I called the next day and they were still missing. Obviously they could have been scooped up by a receptionist, cleaner, or another customer so who knows who took them, but I was very frustrated by the lack of effort by reception in order to make a good effort to find them.

Came to this spa with my mother-in-law for a facial. The staff at the front desk as well as the estheticians were very friendly. The facial however wasn't special, almost disappointing. The signature facials took only about 45 minutes instead of an hour. I was hoping for more extractions, but it took maybe less than a minute and my MiL's facial didn't include extractions at all so it felt like the facial was over before it had even started. All it was, was a nice soothing massage, but not worth the $$.

I have had thousands of massages from a variety of massage facilities. I received this as a mothers day gift and I wish I could give it a better rating. The price for the services rendered was not value-added. The front desk did not know my name or services I was to receive; in addition,they were not very friendly. The robes and changing facility were below par. I had to wait too long for services (I was about to go back out to front to inquire about my appointment). And no mention from the front staff "Happy Mother's Day". Front desk was quick to add 'so can we add gratuity to the card on file". Overall not a good experience; I doubt I will return. Compliment to my masseuse Vera, who was great.

My masseuse was great, I had the 90minute relaxation massage. Just wish the place was nicer. The sauna shower has a glass door in a shared bathroom, kind of pointless as far as privacy goes. The rooms are also small and old. I think this place needs a make over especially for the prices...they're pretty pricey for the setting.

Went in for my first-ever bikini wax and Ali was amazing!! As for the front desk service - the girls seemed nice enough. No issue there for me. I think one of the girls was new as I over heard her being trained a bit. Perhaps they let the 'rude' staff go. Highly recommend! I will be back for sure.

I have been going to Egea for Pedicures and Massages for at least 4 years. All of the massage therapists have been fantastic and I have never had a bad pedicure. No one at the front desk has EVER been rude to me or any other customer that I have seen. If anything they are just quiet and reserved, but I expect that because the environment of a spa should be serene. I have gone to other spas/salons in Evanston in Skokie and I prefer Egea. They know what they're doing and it shows.

I have been going to Egea Spa for years. They have always been consistent with great service at reasonable prices. For Massage or mani-pedi I would highly recommended them.

I walked into this place and was immediately ignored by all 3 service members at the front desk, even though I had seen them watching me approach. 2 turned away and started to shuffle papers, and the other busied herself with a computer. My masseuse was great, I had the 90minute relaxation massage. Just wish the place was nicer. The sauna shower has a glass door in a shared bathroom, kind of pointless as far as privacy goes. The rooms are also small and old. I think this place needs a make over especially for the prices...they're pretty pricey for the setting.
