Salon is conveniently  located and is really beautiful inside but the last few times I went in there I was really disappointment. I took all my nail polish off before going in and went in and wanted glitter nail polish as tips - they wanted to charge me $15 bucks for that! I get painting tips on is an up charge but I've never had it cost more than $5. So I went with just a solid pink color which looked terrible. I’ve been here 3 times in the 3moths and the first time was good the only thing is the acrylic were to thick. Th second time was great .. she was fast and well done. And this last time my friend and I went for the same thing but I had to sit an extra 15 min because she would over file and retouch the color. And the bottom of the nails still came out sloppy. I get acrylics every time and I specifically, will only go to harley or amanda, they are amazing. they are so polite and do my nails exactly how I want them. also, the salon is beautiful and super clean. I really want to like this place because it's so conveniently located to me but they have let me down over and over again. I've been going there for 6 months.I like my nails shaped with a true square tip. While that seems simple, nobody knows how to do it at this salon! Everyone either gives me a "Squoval" shape or a "ballerina" shape. I try to explain it to them every time but I get a sense that they don't understand me. They say "ok" but they keep shaping my nails wrong. Sadly, I'm going to stop going there. Normally I'm a big fan of this place, Amy does incredible designs. However, I stopped going here for about 3 months due to nursing school and not being allowed to wear nail polish. I have a wedding to attend so I went in to get them done and a new woman I had cut me multiple times and it was quite the painful experience. She did a great job with the design though and since it was close to the holidays I decided to tip nicely. It has been a week since I got them done (no chip) and now 4 nails have half the designs coming off and one nail is already chipping paint. I'm extremely disappointed the go around. The overall look of the salon is great, and there is always alot of nail technicians working. But I've been here atleast 5 times thinking that it will be better every time. Definitely not worth my money, my nail technician cut me like 4 times, and they charge for everything shape of nail,length and if you want a certain color? Not satisfied and will not be returning. I went into Tran Nails with a Pinterest photo and Lily did such a beautiful job, even better than the photo (if you look past my old hands!) Lily freehand painted the snowflakes so perfectly, exactly what I asked for!  Tran Nails is also an excellent place to bring your girlfriends (or even your husband, like I did) for amazing Spa Pedicures. I got there 15 minutes earlier, and they took me in 10 minutes after my scheduled appointment. I had to go to another appointment right after, so I was already in a hurry. One of my nails had fallen off a week ago, so I needed to get acrylics. The guy ended up making one of my nails way shorter than the others. I asked him if he was able to redo it, but he claimed he couldn't. On the positive side, the guy who did my nails was kind and patient. Customer service was great! They also had a lot of colors to choose from.I think I will be coming back to see how the pedicures are, but definitely not for a manicure. Read Less

It took me a while to find a place that did great work. I have been extremely happy with Trans Nails for the last 6 months now and during my last visit I was even happier! Miya did this great design for me and I am looking forward to going back for more fun designs. A have a family member that's been going here for a year and a half. Since the new management has taken over, her no chips don't last as long as they should, which is typically two weeks. My daughter and I and her friends frequent this salon for no chip manicures as well as pedicures.  My daughter is 17 and since Tran Nails opened, we have been going there for every occasion, including trips and dances.  Last weekend my daughter brought 3 of her friends there for various nail services in preparation for prom.. Each girl spent at least $65 on services and two were over $100.  One girl paid her bill and realized she did not have enough for a tip.  The nail tech "called her out" and made her feel stupid and bad in front of her friends and other customers.  I understand that tips are most often included but should NEVER be EXPECTED.  Is it worth that torment to have these girls and their moms never return?!!  My no chip manicure chipped that night, btw, regardless of the $20 tip I gave.  Do I now get that back?  How incredibly rude and insensitive to treat a teenage girl who save over $60 to spend at this nail salon.  We all know that nail places are a dime a dozen!!  Not a smart business move, in my opinion.  Again, TIPS are not your right and not ALWAYS possible.  Perhaps you should lower your prices a bit if a young girl cannot afford to tip every time! My experience was horrible me and my friend waited for an hour to get a pedi!!!!!! and they dont even tell you how long is the wait. they sit you down so you could think they'll be with you shortly .i waited 1 hour didnt end up getting a pedi got a polish change instead .i also got a no chip got home got in the shower and two of my nails chipped i was livid. I've only gotten a pedicure, so I can only comment on that. At the time I went they had a $20 pedicure special. Really a great price! Everything was very sanitary. They put a plastic liner on the tub and wear gloves and a mask. I would definitely return. Read Less

The best place to get your acrylic nails done! And I love their pedicures. Everyone I have had do my nails is an expert and does such I nice job. I'm not sure what all the complaints are about in the reviews, they are very busy so I always make an appointment and they never cancel or make me wait. I have seen them take walk ins but they don't seem to need to wait very long. I have also seen on more than one occasion a person walk in, be seated next to me and wait for 5 minutes and then start bitching about it, start talking down to the employee and being completely rude. Finding satisfaction out of Treating people poorly because of their occupation is a sick superiority complex. If this is the kind of customer you are then go somewhere else. You are embarrassing, no one's impressed, get you act together. You're just getting your nails done so quit acting like you're Mariah Carey, seriously stop it. I'm guessing those other reviews are from people like this... I've had my nails done other places and they end up falling off after several fills but whatever these ladies do works. My nails have never chipped and the sides of the acrylic never lift off my nails. The decor is very nice, people working there are so nice and accomodating, everything is clean and sanitary. I love it here! I recommend to go to Amanda she has been doing my nails for years! She has great customer service, super friendly and always does an amazing job. Very clean nice place.Amanda always does my nails here and she is just amazing! She tries to get to know the client. Place looks very clean and friendly. I have had pedis done by others, and they do a good job, I know they set a timer up for themselves to know if they lasted to long with a client, and to me it feels like they might rush if the time is running out, but I have had instances where the timer goes off and they are no where near done, and they don't rush, they keep doing what they are doing. I love this place.  Always go here and they are great.  But today was bad.  Made a reservation for 8 girls and they were ridiculous.  Fought with us.  Told me no when I said they could start w me while the other girls were pulling into the parking lot.  And not at all reasonably priced when it came to what we all needed.  Just didn't hold true to their word.  I will only ever come back when it's only myself, cause they obviously get too flustered when it's more than one. Terrible! Went in for a pedicure with my girlfriend today. They never asked which pedicure we wanted, and were given just the standard. We were going to get the deluxe and spend twice the amount as the standard. Someone needs to learn how to talk to customers there. Furthermore, my pedicure started 15 minutes after the girlfriends, yet ended at the same time. That is completely ridiculous.Products seemed cheap compared to other places, service felt rushed, and we didn't even get what we originally wanted. We won't be wasting our time going back here. I really liked this place when I first came here. But lately I'm having second thoughts and considering finding a new place. My only concern is that the person at the front desk, his name is Ocean, has become rude and inpatient. I don't know if he's stressed or overworked. But he doesn't greet you at all. He's short, rude and direct. He's also, unfortunately, done my nails and he grabs your hands and feet and just throws them forcibly from one place to another. He presses so hard on my nails that it hurts and when I say something he laughs sarcastically and scolds that I should have said something. (I did say something. Maybe he should of warned me that he aims to injure.) I'll come back one more time and if I get him as my nail tech I'll refuse. But, if he's rude again I'm done with this spot. Everyone else is great here. But you have to deal with Ocean on the phone and at the front desk when you come in. I come here to get my nails done in a RELAXING atmosphere. Feeling unsatisfied and rushed with every Pedi I've encountered at multiple salons, I came across Tran by a review from a fellow yelper and based on pictures alone, I immediately knew I had to make an apt.I would have never known it existed. Located in the strip mall by XSport Fitness smack on the corner of North & 83, next to the newly opened Smallcakes Cupcakery. The mall itself is a pain in the ass to enter.  I made a u-turn at the light on 83S & North (this is a no-no) but once your in, you'll find plenty of parking.This salon is such a sight for sore eyes! (Both literally & figuratively) Baroque inspired decor throughout. Your eyes are instantly drawn to the artistic ceiling and you can't help but want to gaze...endless romantic chandeliers hanging from above...it all felt so calming...Walking in, I immediately sensed a professional vibe. Ultra spacious. They have over 20 Pedi chairs located in back, front area has ample stations for nails.No workers yelling from the back asking 'what you need' upon arriving or shouting out orders to other workers..No polish stains on stations. No bulbs out at the drying area (complete with the fanciest, most comfy chairs...).You walk up to a large front desk, where your greeted by friendly girls. Very polished atmosphere (no pun intended) and clean.I was gifted a service here for Valentine's Day and loved that I almost had the salon all to myself after calling in for an apt.  A few customers, but I blame that on the snowy weather.They offer 5 different Pedicures.  Basic spa $27 with most expensive being the VIP (15 min. massage - I say go for it) $50. At any salon I've been to, basic's start at $25, so a few $'s more isn't a big deal, at least not here.  I've had hot stone pedi's before & decided to go with it. Hot Stone $38, which as you might have guessed is the basic using hot stones to deeply massage your feet and calves. And no, the massages here are NOT super fast or light.They actually use a timer when massaging you.  Roughly 9-10 min for the Hot Stone.  Basic pedi usually lasts about 6-7 min.  I'm ALL about the massage and Candy did not disappoint.  Between the soft music playing and her hands firmly pressing on my skin in precise movements, I almost fell asleep..It was better than a back rub.The Honey spa includes a paraffin wax, no stones. ($40).  Would be nice if they offered some services a la carte....either way, I was in pedicure bliss.  It was the best pedi I've had in a LONG time and now my new spot. The body/hand lotion - Olive smelled so nice. You can purchase along with different scents like Lavender (Ahhhh, love the smell of lavender too).After talking with Candy I found out they do ALOT of parties here..bridal, etc.Not surprised as its a perfect layout / space for it.  Tons of no-chip and polish colors to choose from.  They offer waxing services as well.I'm just hoping this salon doesn't get too popular. It's twice the size of Luxury Nails (that place is always packed and even w/an apt, I end up waiting).  I'll stick with Cyndi Nails for nails as she always does an amazing job, but for Pedi's, I'm in love with Tran. If only they included a glass of Champagne with every Pedi....I might go weekly then..Tran is pricier than your average salon by a few dollars, but its also not average.When you need to find that perfect pampering gift, this is an excellent choice. Review Update!!!! Yes they had friendly staff, beautiful decor, and were clean. I was satisfied with my full set acrylic, but after the 3rd day the nails started to chip and didn't even last a week before they started to come off. The young man who started on my nails was a bit rough on my hands but the lady who finished was very delicate and finished my nails very nicely. But like I said, they didn't last a week on (which usually in other places they last over 3 weeks), and I'm not the type to be doing dishes and other heavy duty hand work. Spacious, clean nail salon! Exceptional customer service. I called at 6:20pm on a Saturday night to see if I could come in for mani/pedi. Not only did they get me in but they also did my fingers and toes at the same time! Arm rub/leg rub at the same time was so relaxing! It was like a good actual massage! Not just some weird arm petting for like 30 seconds that some salons try to pass off as a massage. Yuck. This was a few minutes of serious massage. Ahhhhh (close eyes.... Relax).  Thank you Sam and Vivian! The warm towel wraps were nice too.Good selection of colors and lots of manicure/pedicure stations. Maybe 16 or 18 of each. Great place for a bridal party!
