I'd had the pleasure of meeting Amy at the Nail Pub for the first time today-- it was my first manicure/pedicure with her. My father has been a client for 3 years and adores her. I found her to be warm, engaging, extremely pleasant and one heck of a nail tech-- my digits looks fine! The nail salon is extremely clean and very inviting. The owner is ever present and her main objective is excellent customer service. I believe Amy works on Monday's and Tuesday's, (call first) but it will be worth the drive. Read Less

I have gotten my nails done fairly regularly for yrs. When I moved to Elmhurst two yrs ago, I tried a handful of places, but thought they were pretty average. The technicians weren't particularly good; they spent a ton of time talking to each other and were pretty rough. This place, which I have now been to about 5 or 6 times, stands out. It is extremely quiet, which I love, since 75% of the reason I am there is to relax. The technicians are extremely gentle, their products are excellent, and they don't rush you out when they are done. It's also a beautiful place, making it that much easier to relax. In a quaint little town, this nail shop delivers. I got a leg massage with some sort of cream that has a cooling effect, which felt nice. With a very nice selection of nail polish colors, I had my pedicure done in a nice sink. They dyed the water light blue with some rocks on the bottom, which made me feel like I was on a beach. I walked in and was able to get a pedicure right away. The soaker sink for your feet is right up my alley. I don't like the jet ribs because I think they hold bacteria. The soaker sink has stones in then to rub your feet on for a massage. The nail tech was so precise and gentle. I felt so relaxed and was able to enjoy a pedicure instead of my normal vice grip on the seat from the nail filing and callus removal. The pedicure even includes a paraffin heel soak which I desperately needed after a winter of neglect. I'm ready for the Chicago sunshine in my sandals now. This place really went downhill.When they first opened it was decent. They offered wine, and complementary paraffin with your service so it was worth the high price. The polish seemed to stay  on and everything. I went again months later and they didn't offer anything to drink, they ended up giving me really old wine that tasted like it had been open for a month, they acted like they weren't interested in the quality of the service and my no chip came off that week! Came in once to get my nails done for an interview I had. I got the no-chip polish done by a lady named Amy and she was amazing. The polish lasted over a week until I got finicky and peeled them off. They may have lasted even longer had I not peeled them off (I can't resist that kind of stuff). Very fast and friendly. A bit overpriced but I only do my nails once a while so it's whatever. Not impressed at all. Very over priced. Got a mani and pedi and it was below average in quality. If one of your favorite parts of a pedicure is the massage...don't go here because you don't get one at all. It is not relaxing and definitely not worth the money. I probably will not return. Read Less

I absolutely love Nail Pub. I get a pedicure here every month, even though I have moved from Elmhurst. The owner and staff are extremely friendly. In addition, the staff takes cleanliness very seriously-which I truly appreciate. I love coming to Nail Pub because they include all of the "extras" as part of their base package. For example, a regular pedicure includes a mask, scrub, massage, and lotion application for your legs and feet. Also, they put paraffin around your heels to soften them. At other salons you pay extra for all of these things, which makes Nail Pub an excellent deal. I would recommend and do recommend Nail Pub to everyone I know. Read Less

Really not impressed. Very overpriced for no reason.  Atmosphere is not great, they don't offer you a bottle of water like you see at other more expensive nail places.  The lady who seems to run the place wasn't very friendly.  I found her to be very curt with us. "You pay now." Before the manicure was even close to done. I was there with my daughter and not getting anything done myself.  So it's not like they were trying to prevent me from ruining my nails.  That wasn't an issue. Also they don't do acrylics which I found odd for a nail place. Maybe it isn't unusual but I just haven't ever seen that before.  Anyway my daughters nails look fine but $40 for no chip with no frills and not even friendly service just seemed ridiculous to me  we won't be back. I'm saddened I even have to give this place one star. When I walked into this swanky looking place I expected more. Stood there for about 5 minutes being ignored and when I was finally acknowledged it was by an older asian women who asked me "What do you want?  I then proceeded to tell her I just needed an overlay at which point she looked at me like I was an alien and she was insulted. This is how the rest of the conversation went...Tech: "We don't do overlay's!" Me:     Ok, what do you do? Tech:   Manicures and pedicures. Me:     Do you take walk-ins?Tech:   YesMe:      Ok I'll take both. Tech:    Oh no, it's too late for both.Me:      Ok I'll just take a manicure.Tech:    Come back in one hour.Me:       Forget it, but thank you.At which point she rolled her eyes and went back to what she was doing without another word to me and immediately began talking to the other girls in their language while laughing. Can you say rude much?It's no wonder this place only had two clients in it and the girl who had been sitting waiting there since I walked in got up and walked out saying how ridiculous it was too wait over 45min for a manicure.Would definitely not recommend this place! I hadn't had a pedicure in an abysmally long time.It was 7p.m. on a Thursday and I found myself in Elmhurst with a little time on my hands, or should I say feet.Being the polite young lady that I am, I called ahead to see if they could accommodate me because it was getting close to their closing time. They told me to come on over and I arrived roughly an hour before the 8 pm closing time.Well I shouldn't have.They turned the music off, cleaned around me and told other potential patrons to come back another day, it was too late. The pedicure was rushed to say the least and I was aggravated, wishing that they had told me on the phone that it was "too late". Then the topper, she almost didn't accept my check in coupon. I never use those things but I was so agitated with the experience I was damned if I was going to pay full price. She really wasn't going to take the thing, boy I was pissed. The owner don't know how to speak English !!when I walk in i said hi and the response to me was hi what do you want.(wtf?? )I was surprise how she treat costumer. The girl name Natalie was awesome she know how to speak perfect English and how to treat a costumer I feel great and relaxed when she doing my nails so I prefer her if you want to come in. Read Less

For a Friday they were able to accommodate my mother and I. Alice did a nice job on my toes and gel nails. I have no complaints. Natalie did my mother's toes which were nice. I would recommend these two for any service you need. Read Less

Great manicure pedicure but they are changing from an urban hip design & feel to a twee over the top flowery interior design. I'm not a fan of the changes. Please stop putting out placemats that clash with the counter tops and the nail color you're painting on my nails. It too much of a distraction. Have been coming here for a while, but haven't been in since new management took over. My manicurist Elena is a sweetheart, very professional and great at her job, so that's why I gave the review three stars. I'm disappointed in the fact that they still charge $50 for a mani/pedi but the quality of the products used is like any other nail salon out there. Previous owners made their own scrubs and soaking mixtures and changed them with the season, as well as ordered specialty... lotions that were unique to this salon as well. The salon is clean and trendy, and they don't use those disgusting jetted pedicure tubs, which is what drew me to this salon in the first place. However, there were a number of distractions and some unprofessional behavior going on by one employee and who I assume is the new owner. The atmosphere just wasn't as up to par as I'm used to; I've been a long-time Nail Bar customer as I lived in Lincoln Park and went to that location regularly. My manicure is only 24-hours old and has already chipped, so that is disappointing as well. I will probably give this salon a chance a few more times because Elena is just great. I went here a month or so ago and loved it! My friend has just gotten engaged so we wanted to get our nails done. The entire staff was so nice! Especially the man working the desk. He was very helpful in giving us lots of color choices. We both go no chip manicures (it was my first one ever) and I loved it! My friend had had a few done before other places and she liked hers too. When we were done we got to use a coupon for checking in there and for it being our first visit. (I think it was 15% off maybe) and then they also give you a decently sized free lotion when you leave! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM!! They have fantastic consumer service and they are very warm and welcoming!! I go on every Friday and get a mani and have recently gotten the gelish!! They don't have hand dryers to avoid bubbles in you nails they spray you with a special formula with I love!! You nails dry within 10 mins and I must say at first I was like " are you kidding me" but I have never agin had a nail get ruined!! The color last and the gelish last more than the two weeks!! They started serving wine a mega plus I have never felt rush or have gotten a crappy service Miraya is my nail technician and she is very a attentive and remembers everything I like, all the other girls seen great as well!!! Called the day to schedule a mani for myself and a pedi for my sister. Once we got there, my sister changed her mind that she wanted a mani as well. They accommodated her no problem. She had a great experience with both services. The manicurists recommended a great color and was very nice. Only 4 stars because my manicurist cut my nails on my left hand crooked. My fault for not paying attention during my manicure, but she seemed rushed and had no one after me. She was rushing so she could do her own nails, which she did at the table with me while I was drying...Will definitely go back, loved the salon, staff is very friendly and I love the atmosphere.
