Just went and got my nails done. My sister and niece came along with us. We were told it was going to be a 15 min wait.. I was waiting patiently 25+ min went by.. I was starting to question if they forgot about me. Two other customers came in and got right in.. they did not have an appointment. I went to the front and said I’ve been waiting 25 min.. what’s going on? I’ve had to wait another 10 min until someone was available.. and at the end was still charged full price and more and I did not get what I asked for. I also wanted them to clean up my cuticles but all they did was put oil on my fingers. I’m sorry I hate to be that person but I am not happy! And what is this?! This place has always been a favorite of mine so as I knew I was going to be in town I made sure to wait for my mani/pedi. When I stepped in to the shop, it was beautiful. Went to DK Nails without an appointment. We waited no time at all, by the time we had our colors picked out they had us in chairs. And actually getting our nails done took little time as well. The reason I'm giving four stars though is because it felt so rushed. He didn't even ask the shape style I wanted, he just automatically started doing square nails. Read Less

The pedicure itself was great and very clean, but every design I asked for they couldn't do.. it was just zebra lines or a palm tree or a simple flower. If you want a design I don't recommend if your just looking for a good pedicure I'd very highly recommend! Read Less

I don't normally write bad reviews because as a professional hairstylist I try my best to prevent these. I've been here many times before and I've never had a problem. Today I had Abby and she did a great job but her attitude sucked. I tried my best to make conversation and be friendly and thanked her several times. I never got a thank you or your welcome. When leaving I left her a 20% tip which was 9 dollars. She never thanked me or even acknowledged the fact. I'm very unhappy with her energy toward me and I felt very unsatisfied and under appreciated. I'm not saying I won't be back but I won't be returning to Abby. I've been to a couple places to have my nails done and this place is the best. I called about 2 hours before closing and she said come on in they could do my nails. The price was great for a full set with gel polish. He paid attention to what he was doing never cut me. And not even 12 hours later my nails still look great. Was a very rushed experience and I did not feel relaxed. I got an acrylic nail job the technician was rushing so she could get more customers and did a rush job on my nail. I was also overcharged by $10 even though I only gave a $2 tip. I will only give them an extra star because the manager was able to refund my my money. I am not likely to return to this nail salon. I have been coming here a lot lately and some in the past. DK is by far my favorite place to go now. I used to go for acrylics but now I'm getting the powder dip. I went last night and had Kevin for the first time and he did an amazing job! Best I have ever had do my nails. He was very particular and made sure with every detail that it was right. First thoughts walking in: I did love the atmosphere of the place; it was very clean, airy, and just an overall relaxing area. I ended up going for the deluxe mani and pedi with my friend and I ($109 total along with a $30-ish tip). The pedi was amazing!! My legs have never been smoother after! I had no issues with that, but what I do have an issue with is when it came to the mani. At first it was very pleasant, the massage to my forearms were amazing. When it came time to cu...t the cuticles, she took a away the dead skin along with a small piece around my finger nail. This hurt so bad!! I opted to not say anything because accidents happen, but what I didn't like was he way she was rushing to paint my nails. They were semi busy, but not busy enough that she couldn't pay full attention to me. My friend and I sat in the dryer for about 8-12 minutes before we left. Everything was alright, but when i woke up this morning and throughout the whole day, I noticed the nail polish slowly chipping away. I don't know if she didn't pay enough attention and didn't do enough coats or if the quality of the polish is terrible. I paid over $125 for everything to not have my manicure last 24 hrs. I will not be coming back unless it is for a very good reason or if this place is my resort for when i'm in town. I live the the chicagoland area and get my nails done semi-regularly at the same place, if I walked into their salon and spent the same amount, the quality would be better and the atmosphere would be just as good maybe slightly better. I would recommend this nail salon over all the others in the area!!! Every nail tech does a great job. Today I had Mikey put a new set on and they are flawless! This salon is one of the only ones that offer chrome, glow in the dark, jewels, and etc. They have every gel color you could imagine!!! Professional service & you never have to wait long!!!!! Fast, efficient service. My friend and I got basic mani and pedi service. There were great colors to choose from, mostly OPI and China Glaze. After being seated in massage chairs (mine didn't work) our pedis lasted about 20 minutes, then we were moved to rolling chairs for our manicures, which lasted about 10-15 minutes. Overall, the facility appeared clean and they used utensils from sterile, closed packets. It felt rushed and I had to point out unevenly filed nails a couple of times. Also, my nail tech didn't cover my whole nail with polish and even less with the top coat, which is a pet peeve of mine. In December I switched from LA Nails whom I had been going to for about 5 years.  I felt they weren't giving me the service I deserved of a loyal customer.  Like changing hair stylist I was hesitant.  However, I searched yelp like I always do to find someone who was good, kept up on nail trends and were clean.  On a Monday around Christmas time I found a very crowded DK Nails at 1:30 in the afternoon.  I literally was like WTH.  I walked in and was like I love the crystal chandeliers, I love the liners they use for the pedicure bowls, I love this place is clean and I can get some cool designs when I can afford it!  My new home is DK Nails hands down.  Since my first visit, I have been overwhelmed with the great customer service.  I mean fabulous.  They have worked with me via Facebook to find the names of the stylist that I love, to make appointments when I could not get through their phone line etc.  In March when I went, I told them I would prefer someone else than the last gentleman I was given. They researched why (nothing major) and gave me someone per my preferences. They even stopped by during my 2hrs there to ensure everything was going well etc.  BUT THE KICKER THAT KNOCKS DK NAILS OUT OF THE PARK.... They even followed up with me on my vacation 2 days after my March visit to ensure I was happy with my nails.  They sent private messages to me on Facebook to make sure my nails were great.  No one in any service industry has provided that level of customer service for me.  For these reason, cleanliness, decor, customer service and great options.... I love the color of my nails, I just really don't like my nail art. I asked for a flower and it looks like something for a five year old, vary plain and simple. The lady was nice just didn't speak English so there was a lot of miscommunication. Next time I'm going I'm making a reservation and asking for a different lady that can do nice, fancy, art work. I'm giving this place two stars because the employees were not unfriendly, and because it seemed pretty clean.  It's also extremely cheap. However, I would strongly recommend not going here for any kind of gel manicure or pedicure.Why? First off, they use a dremel to sand off old gels. Anyone who knows what they're doing knows you should be soaking them in pure acetone and VERY gently pushing the old polish off. Any scraping or filing damages the nails (which is especially bad if you're doing it every 2-3 weeks).The other big red flag is that they use the lamps that cover your entire hand rather than the ones that leave the hand part open (just applying the light to the nails and a small part of the finger. There's no reason to expose your hands to that, given that it increases skin cancer risk and ages your hands prematurely.I'm don't live around Edwardsville so I'm not sure if there's a place nearby that does things the right way, but I definitely wouldn't recommend coming here. The best place around Madison county to get your nails/toes done! Seriously the friendliest people. They are very very clean and good pricing! They always pay such attention to detail & can do whatever you ask. I have tried other places before and they always disappoint compared to DK Nails! Literally the best!!! Love the people too! Open til 8 and they have tons of great colors to chose from, plus they are always new colors (so you never have to worry about crappy old polish). Couldn't say anything better! Oh and best part!! They take time on your massages and they let you sit in this amazing massage chair after you are done, it have butt and calf massagers, as well as full back and neck! Ahhh so relaxing!!!! After having my nails done at a salon in Belleville with really bad results I went to DK Nails. DK Nails is awesome! My nails still look perfect and beautiful two weeks later. I was very, very happy with my manicure and (first ever) pedicure. Even though it was very busy, my wait was not long. Such a relaxing experience. The nails are done well, but, as opposed to last year when they first opened, they pretty much rush you through .  I  sometimes feel like I'm on an assembly line there, and I didn't used to.  I also wish that they could speak English better.  It is very frustrating to try to explain something or make a request.  The guy who I think might be the owner seems to be the only one who speaks English, and even he speaks so fast and with such an accent that I can't understand him very well.  I go there for nails, though, and most of them do a very good job of that.  I just wish it were a little more pleasant and that the techs could chat with you and discuss nail styles, etc.  They can only chat with each other.
