When I lived in Chicago I'd only come to this place. The owner Danny and his wife Maggie are amazing people. I was sad to move away bc id have to find another manicurist. They treat you like family. Rude, unprofessional, careless, UNSANITARY - they use old raggedy towels to wipe everything down, including your skin and nails... yuck! The tools are sometimes not sanitized either, only sometimes they pull them out of the bags that look like they've been properly cleaned.It's also overpriced for what you get. Their color selection is terrible!! Especially if you want to match no chip with regular. Omg. Invest in a couple more colors, people. Come on.The lady accidentally sprayed me with Lysol cause she was so impatient and couldn't wait 15 seconds for me to exit the pedicure chair. When I complained to the owner, no apology. Just an "Ok, I'll tell her." Yeah right! Lol... for this kind of $ you can go elsewhere and feel much more appreciated for being a customer. The whole staff is sloppy, rushed, and doesn't give a sh*t about you, including the owner. They'll act nice but just wait until you call ahead and hour and 20 mins before closing and stress that u don't wanna rush them, you'll come back the next day if they need and they insist you come in and then completely rush you and do a crap job. I found this place by accident. Been going for 2 months now. I love them. They do a great job but besides that they are honest. I was there last night n brought my kindle with.  I accidentally forgot it. The owner is very nice, 5 stars. However, the guy that provided the service did not even offer lotion at the end. At other salons, lotion and a hand massage is always provided. The guy rushed through the no chip manicure and was being sloppy. He was taking shortcuts, I did not get what I paid for. Loved the owner but very disappointed with the service. I went in for the first time on a Saturday because of all of the good reviews. I was getting a gel fill in and color. I have to say it's definitely a friendly atmosphere and nice decor, my overall experience wasn't so bad except I did not care for the technician that initially did the work on my nails. On several occassions I had to point out her sloppy nail file shaping, the gel fill itself she never bothered to shave around the cuticle area and then when painting the nail she had several spots that were unpainted or just plain sloppy. I would have given the place three stars if it wasn't for the owner Danny that took over and made things right, he re shaped and re painting a few nails and made sure I was satisfied and apologized. Very friendly service. Pleased with the mani. First time I got gel mani done and it really is worth the extra $. Normal mani usually will chip within a day or two for me. It's been over a week now and they look like the day I got them done. :) Only thing I wasn't too pleased with was it was very warm inside..door open and no A/C on and it was 87 out that day. I went in to have old acrylic nails removed and then a regular manicure afterward, and I am so disappointed with the sloppy work that was done. My nails are all uneven lengths with a streaky finish, and she even put polish right over some pieces of the acrylic that she didn't get off. Needless to say I won't be going back. Read Less

Not so happy nails. I had been recommended this place by a friend-when I walked in it looked typical but nice-great pedicure chairs. The pedi itself was rather lackluster but fine-nothing I would rave about but not disappointing. The color I chose was gel and turned out completely different than the sample had shown-again-it happens-the real reason for my bad review is my manicurist cut me-SEVERAL times-and never apologized as my hands are bleeding while she was painting. Just said at the end the dried blood in my nails would wash off with a couple of showers. Would never go back--will caution others against it too. Read Less

I went here on yesterday to get a manicure & pedicure and was disappointed in the service. My pedicure was ok somehow the color I choose was switched. When I sat down for the manicure one person started and than someone else took over. I didn't want color on my hands because I do a lot with hands at work and it never last past a day, including no chips. I felt like they finished up with me quick as a lot of customers started to come in the door. They didn't even use cuticle oil just lotion. I could have done a better job myself at home! No one stopped what they were doing to see if my polish on feet was good for me leave after sitting there for a while. Got a pedicure right away on a Saturday, the hot stone massage was nice. The technique was lacking. Other places I have been do a better job with clearing the cuticles, filing more evenly, and making the surface of the nails more smooth. There was polish on the skin around the nails. There was still dead skin around my toes which is usually cleared away. It seemed like they rushed through the pedicure. Felt like I could've done just as good of a job if I did it myself. This is a small shop but both the service and the technique of the tech was pretty good. I am always nervous and picky about what needs to be done. The tech was patient to accommodate and she has done a good job quickly, previously times in other states, I have tech who is fast but not necessary cover all ends in the quickness. She helped me with a color that meets my taste. The plus is she made me feel that she cares more about the welfare of nails than purely for the money resulting from 1 service. We are not from the area and managed to find this place on yelp to give them a try.  Seriously the best pedicure I've ever had.   I SOO wish we lived local and I could frequent here.   The guys were hilarious and the massage was out of this world.   The guy who did my mani/pedi was named Villa.    Super nice! I hate poor cuticle trimming, uneven filing and worse, poor painting around my cuticles or when they get paint on it. I also like to wear my nails very short which can be hard to paint. Maggie and Danny own the salon and always personally  handle my manicures. They are very meticulous about carefully trimming my cuticles and painting my short nails. The polish always looks even and well rounded. Especially around the cuticles!! They also recently upgraded their pedicure massage chairs which is a huge plus. They always carry a huge selection of shellac polish in edition to the newest OPI collection. Overall I highly recommend this nail salon. It's very fairly priced, the manicures always look fantastic and you can get in and out without hassle. They take credit cards but you have to tip in cash. Ask for Danny- he is fantastic! Read Less
