GOOD: The restaurant did a nice job giving the establishment a face lift. The octopus was impressive; perfectly grilled and tender in a zesty, flavorful lemon sauce. The soup was quite good as well. BAD: We were looking forward to a quiet, intimate dinner but were sat in the bar area with no preference asked on seating. It was dark and noisy with rowdy, tipsy patrons. The food was pricey for what it was, and I was beginning to wish we had just gone to neighboring Pita Inn. Our server was not warm, a bit unprofessional, and also forgetful. UGLY: The Mixed Grill was perfectly grilled but was salty, super greasy, and everything was swimming in a pool of XVOO. The rice was so salty it was unpalatable. We earnestly tried to enjoy our meal, but after chugging a few glasses of water, we finally called it quits after only a few bites. Our server was perturbed we asked to speak with the manager, and when we did, he argued it was mere seasoning and begrudgingly comped the item. We were very polite and still appreciated his gesture. However, we saw our server clearly whispering about us to her coworkers and overheard the manager speaking with regulars at the bar right behind our backs, and the guys (albeit tipsy) loudly and vocally began guessing what kinds of Asians we are - Chinese, Korean, Japanese. I have never felt so out of place and discriminated against at an establishment, and we left incredibly disappointed and even saddened by the poor experience. We will never return and highly recommend Yanni's in the Glen as an alternative choice for Greek/Mediterranean. Read Less
