I'll give the 1 star because you can't put less. The 1 star is because women who waxed and tinted my eyebrows was great. I'd give more stars just for her, but my experience got destroyed by Sarah. The worst haircut and color job I've EVER had! Haircut looks nothing like what I asked for and she seems to know exactly what I wanted which wasn't hard... And I showed a pic and she even pointed out the lenght I was asking for before cutting. But it ended up 8 inches shorter for some reason. Even after me saying a few times.... that seems a bit short!? Then the color. I get an all over color, nothing fancy, and there are plenty sports all over that she somehow missed. My hair is very light brown, I get all over flat black, how do you miss spots? I left after spending Way to much $. Shaking and about to cry. I called and sent an email to talk to someone in charge about it with no reply. Would never go there again. It's stinks because eyebrow lady was great but I don't want anything to do with Studio One and will let others know to be aware. I could of cut and colored my hair better myself alone in the dark. Horrible experience and now it will take a year of a stupid haircut to grow out to maybe be where I wanted it to be. Read Less

My husband got me a $120 gift certificate for Mother's Day and thought it would be perfect to use towards a hair service since I had been wanting to do that for quite some time now. I felt really bad leaving my baby at home (with hubby) but thought it would be good to have a little breather and time to myself. When I got there, staff was very friendly and place looked nice. Bianca who would be my hair dresser that day, asked that I sign a form since I told her I colored my hair with box dye last June or so. That way if anything goes wrong with the highlights she was gonna do on me, they wouldn't be liable for anything. Towards the end of getting highlights done, I told her I probably wouldn't want my hair blow dried because baby was at home waiting for me. She was totally fine with it. She just blow dried my hair a bit so I can see the highlights.. the lighting was poor so I didn't see much until I got home. Highlights looked pretty in the back but in the front, you can hardly notice them. Service was $103 which I thought was pricey for what was done. I called the manager the next day and told her I wasn't happy with service and she was more defensive than helpful or friendly. I asked that maybe I can get another service done since I couldn't leave baby that easily to do a hair service again (I have tons of hair and it's long). She said no kind of rudely. She did offer that I go in to fix it but I was just turned off by everything and had already explained that I can't leave my baby to go again for hair. She blamed it on the box dye I had done last year even though my hair had grown out quite a bit since then and the highlight problem was more by the roots... anyway, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I'm giving this Salon 4 stars ONLY for it's SPA. The Hair Salon is not worth the money. Dolce Vita Hair Salon is significantly better! Don't waste your money here for your hair. Seriously I could show you pictures on how they butchered my dye job but I won't be that petty. I did demand a refund so I could go have my hair fixed properly and they complied. BUT...the SPA is absolutely amazing! If you really want the spa experience, want to be pampered, get amazing spa treatments etc. this is for sure the place to go. I see Hannah for facials and I would highly recommend her. She takes great care with your skin, works up to the minute (I have been places where massage therapists stop early, you don't get a full hour) she does an amazing job on brows as well! Read Less

Paid almost $200 to get my hair dyed a color that wasn't anything close to what I asked for. The color came out to be the exact same color I've been dying it for months on my own. When I went to ask for a refund because I was not satisfied with what I got, one of the staff made a snide comment about how she didn't understand how I was unable to see that the color in my hair was what I had asked for. She also commented that they did what they thought was "best" for its integrity (even though we didn't agree to go darker in the first place). I've never been so upset after a salon visit in my life and definitely won't be going back. Read Less

I went into studio one with a picture of the orange ombré I wanted exactly. Everything was going well until the girl doing my hair dyed the top half dark red brown and did not fade that color into the blonde of the ombré at all. I stopped her while she was cutting my hair because I was really unhappy with the color. After asking her to fix the color She dyed it again in a different color that I chose, and then pulled it through the blonde so it looked like a nice ombré. Then she barely dried my hair and sent me on my way without completing the cut. color was right, and it was obvious she did not want to help me anymore so I paid, tipped her well and left. When I got home my white Colombia shirt was covered in red dye. I finally decided to call and complain about my service and they told me to wash my shirt with tide. In short: my shirt is totally ruined, I spent all afternoon in the salon fixing the color, and never got a full cut or any type of style. Obviously not a good experience Read Less

The guy that did my nails wasn't paying attention to what he was doing. He was to busy talking to everyone working there or other customers that walked in. my nails turned out like crap. The air brush missed parts of the nail and part of the acrilic isn't there where he wasn't paying attention to what he was doing. Today was my first time getting a massage at Studio One and it was fantastic!  I was greeted by a very nice found woman who offered to take my coat and asked if I would like anything to drink. I was seen right away (I arrived a few minutes before my appointment time) and the massage therapist was amazing!!  She asked me numerous questions to make sure I was getting exactly what I expected during massage. I have never been so insulted in my life. I had a gift certificate given to me so I made an appointment on OCTOBER 21 because they could not get me in. The next available day they had was October 31 so I set an appointment.  As I get to my appointment they tell me they REFUSE to honor my gift certificate because it expired October 23.....  The deadline was missed because of THEIR inadequacies to provide me with a stylist before the deadline. I had a HORRIBLE color done at a different salon ( highlight and lowlight) and came here to see if they could fix it. The lowlight was almost black, and the blonde was yellow. As you can imagine, it looked terrible and I didn't know if there was any way of fixing it. I came here (got me in same day) and was able to get my hair a beautiful blonde with carmel highlights. Its honestly even better than I imagined it would be. I also was able to get my eyebrows waxed while I was waiting on the color. Will DEFINITELY come back here! Read Less

I have thick, curly hair that is sometimes difficult to work with and I've always been impressed with the time the stylists take and the individual attention they give. DO NOT GET WAXED HERE!!!! I've worked in a waxing place for three years and I just moves out to DeKalb for school. I was told this was the best place to get a Brazilian wax. After waiting one week to get an appointment it was the most horrific experience ever! It's been 24 hours since my wax I still can't walk or sit! I've been non stop bleeding since I got the wax! This is the best place to get your hair done in Dekalb :) I love the atmosphere of the salon. Very professional staff, great quality products, LOTS of different services. My boyfriend surprised me with a facial and mani/pedi. Gretchen did my facial and it was very relaxing, I actually fell asleep for a bit. I will def be back with her. The facial I believe like most come with a shoulder, arm, and hand massage but she also did a mini head massage :-) The mani/pedi I received was ok because of the polish. I forgot the woman's name but she was very friendly and did a great job on the service. My only advice is to not get a french done, because I have had better. Don't get me wrong, my nails came out nice but I am a picky person and I like the french to be straight and similar in shape and size. I would normally have said something in a nice way but was in a rush because these appointments although were great, were also unexpected. It is 2 days later and my manicure is peeling a little but pedicure looks good still (did not get french done). I would get my nails done here again just with a reg polish. Read Less

I had my mani/pedi here for my wedding a week and a half ago.  They have both lasted so well!!  My pedi still looks perfect and my manicure is just beginning to chip.  They are a little bit more expensive than some other places, but definitely worth it.  The pedicures are heaven.  I love that they do the hot towels and actually take their time.
