I've been to this location a few times now. For waxing, it's great.  However, the last time I was here was for a deep tissue massage.  The changing room is exceptionally small and can hardly handle two people in it at a time, even though there are several lockers.  The spa waiting area is nice, with plenty of water and tea while you wait.  My massage therapist did a decent job, but the entire experience was ruined by two things.  The massage therapist, during our small chit chat while she was massaging, kept bringing up politics.  NO ONE goes to a massage wanting to talk about politics.  Then sadly she brought up the death of her husband.  I feel for her, but this didn't really help with the experience.  While I was in the shower, after the massage, another massage therapist walked in on my shower to grab towels.  Apparently, they store the towels in the shower area.  All in all, this does not feel like a top notch spa.  They charge like the best city spas I have been to, but do not deliver.  I will not be back. I love Marianne for my hair color - she always gets it perfect. Also love Jerry and Flavio for hair cut and styling. Agree with the comment about the heat in there. The massage itself was good, but when the price is so high, one expects luxury, comfort and some pampering.  The facility is dated, chipped paint and laminates over the lockers. "Relaxation" lounges were freezing, so impossible to relax. When I mentioned this to receptionist,she laughed it off by saying that yes they know , its freezing back there, the heaters aren't working well. No one cared. I have been going to this location for many years but mostly for facials and waxing by Minerva. She is wonderful .. she does not try to push products on you during the treatment. Minerva is professional, very knowledgeable in her craft and strives hard to make sure you feel the spa experience you deserve. This past weekend I saw Khai for a blowout. We had never met prior and I wanted him to style my hair for an upcoming special event. He did an awesome job! My hair was not overdone. Rather, I still looked like myself and I felt comfortable with how he styled it. Just the right amount of oomph to the look. I wish I had the same experience as the others who have reviewed this place. My "deluxe" pedicure barely lasted 30 minutes...the girl was clearly rushing through my pedicure. She scrubbed too hard with the exfoliating scrub and the massage was terrible. My legs were still soapy when she went to put the lotion on. She also dug her nail into my toe a couple times trying to remove the excess polish which was uncomfortable. I definitely will not be coming back. Read Less

I live in Greenwith and will still drive into North Adelaide to go to this salon. My first visit was in December 2017 and I've already been 4 times, and taken friends with me. All the staff are really nice, very efficient, and highly skilled. You could seriously fall asleep in the massage chair during your deluxe pedi. Very reasonably priced given the quality of their work. Massive range of colours across normal polish, shellac and SNS. Loyalty program as well!! Highly recommend this salon. Read Less

Every time I come here it’s a nice relaxing treat. It’s 50min of soothing relaxation. I’ve never had a nail tech be so precise and gentle before. I’m a super fussy customer with very sensitive cuticles and I have yet to have any damage to my cuticles. To say these ladies are perfectionists is an understatement. And all so lovely! I’ve been coming here since August and have only ever had one issue. A nail cracked a couple days after I had them refilled and the girls were amazing! Got me in to fix it quickly with no problems. Booked an appointment with Erik at the DF location. 80 minute Deep tissue massage. It was out of this world. I would recommend him to anyone who really enjoys a nice deep tissue. $27 mani. $56 pedi. 10% off check in offer... so it's more expensive than I normally pay at other places. when I was there, they were switching nail polish suppliers (i've never hear of a salon that only uses one supplier) so they didn't have many colors. I wanted a plain old pink. nope, not there. one of the nail technicians had a bag full of polish and let me use one of her own. my nail technician was ok, but seemed to be going through the motions.this place is supposed to be a nice spa with a room to relax in and tea and stuff like that. no one offered me any of that. i waited in the lobby by the door for my nails to dry... ugh. never again. This was a really disappointing experience. My first time here and the whole thing was a letdown. The staff was cold, the massage was insanely overpriced, and they only massaged for 35 of the 50 minutes. The massage itself was...not good. It felt like an amateurish attempt. I had the very best facial I have ever had with Sophia. She is truly a master of her craft. I am very consistent with monthly facials. I used to go to Mario Tricocci's but when my esthetician left I couldn't find a connection with anyone else. The lotions Sophia worked with provided a sensory explosion. I have never before felt such a creamy, silky texture in the lotion used to massage my hands and arms. The massage lotion used on my face was in fact a silky lotion and not an oil or cream. It was amazing!!  I had a microderm/collagen facial. It was an incredibly relaxing experience and I couldn't believe the results. I booked my next facial with Sophia before I left the salon. Facials - MINERVA IS THE BEST!!! I've been going to the Red Door Salon & Spa for about 10 years now and always see Minerva for my facials. She's kind and soft spoken with a gentle touch. The facials include an arm and hand massage as well as a shoulder and neck massage. She gently spreads creams on my face with swirling motions relaxing any tensions in my forehead.   I've tried going other places to save money, including Mario Tricoci, Heavenly Massage and a variety of smaller spas. I love the Deerfield Day Spa & Salon. The staff is so friendly. The facility is clean, the changing room has spacious lockers, and the waiting room is relaxing. The robes and cover-ups have a very luxurious, comfortable feel. They also offer complimentary tea, lemon-water, cucumber-water, coffee, and Biscoff cookies.I have only taken advantage of the facial services with Britta. She is the BEST! Read Less

They have a custom mixing make up machine that emits a high-pitched noise that emanates throughout the spa. I'm not sure why it is right up front where it will be the most annoying, but it is. I got a gift certificate.  Had very high hopes, but was disappointed.  Not luxurious at all. Especially considering the prices. The front desk girl was snotty. I had a facial and a wax.  The results were good, but the process not so much. During the wax, I was pretty clear with regard to what I want waxed and what I do not waxed.  However, she waxed me in the areas where I didnt want to be waxed and did not consent to being waxed there.  Like she just started putting wax there (with no warning) and then you know ....it was too late.  During the facial she tried to up-sell me every product in the book.  So much for relaxation. I had high expectations coming here especially since it was a day spa, but left disappointed. It was my first time here and I got a french manicure. (Look at the picture of my manicure as it looks like I did it myself with my left hand) I always get french manicures and every technician has always used a brush with acetone to ensure the perfect curvature of the white tip. This is the first time someone didn't use it and often time she seems frustrated because she would wipe it off and redo it.. I just think if I'm going to pay over $50 bucks for a manicure (no chip) then I hope it's worth every penny since I could have just gone to Josie's in Glenview who makes my white tips look nice or go back to California's Alure Salon where Maria is exceptional. This spa does provide refreshments like many other salons but this place had a warm neck pillow which is a nice touch. I had a VERY positive experience here recently.  I had a very important video shoot on a Thursday and walked in on a Wednesday afternoon to book a last minute appointment.  The associate behind the desk was very helpful and got me in for 9:15am for a make-up appointment.  I had assumed there wouldn't be time to squeeze in a hair style.   I arrived for my makeup appointment with Margaret and she was wonderful.  She listened to what I was looking for and was very thorough.  While doing my makeup I told her that I was going to see if someone could go over my hair with a flat iron or something and she asked one of the ladies (Stacey) to help me spruce up my hair.  Both of them made me look lovely for the video and were extremely wonderful.  They didn't have to go out of their way since I was so "last minute" but they did and for that I am grateful.  I will be back.  Thank you!
