I don't know what to be more angry about, the fact that they hire unqualified employees, the fact that they use dirty tools, or the fact that they are rude to their customers?? I recently got a pedicure here and was appauled by the results--it looked like a sabre tooth tiger got at my feet. The poor old Asian lady who was undoubtedly unlicensed, was at least 75 years old, and spoke not a lick of English, was put to work on my feet. She began the pedicure by shaking out the towel from her previous customer and placing it under my feet. Then she took the same utensils from the previous customer and was about to begin my pedicure when I asked her if she was about to use those tools on me. She did not know what I was talking about since she didn't speak the language. Unable to do much about the situation at that moment, she proceeded to begin the pedicure. I watched in horror as she took a dirty cuticle cutter and began literally gouging the skin around my toes. After she was finished, and my feet resembled Shrek's, the manager passed by and he noticed my angry expression and asked me if I was OK. After I told him ""no..take a look at the skin around my toes.""..he blamed it on my dry skin which was obviously not the case. Then he changed his mind and said maybe my feet were soaking too long. I just laughed. Someone else came to finish the work and purposely did a careless job with the polish. After the employees and the manager saw how upset I was, I was not charged for the pedicure, but also offered a gift certificate. However , when I approached the register before leaving, the manager claimed he never offered it to me. Even when another client said she heard him say so, he ignored her. I will avoid Pretty Nails in the future even if it is the only nail spa in the universe. I hope I have not contracted a contagious disease such as hepatitis or something even worse from their unsanitary conditions. Read Less
