Today I had my hair highlighted and cut for the first time at Avalon Salon & Day Spa with Corrin. She did an amazing job and is so talented to know exactly what would suit me best. I absolutely love my hair. I just moved to Lake Zurich and chose Avalon Salon& Day Spa for their use of Aveda products. I am very certain I will return to try the other services based on today's fantastic experience. Thank you!

During the consult I pointed out an area that needed additional color attention and the stylist indicated she understood. When my hair was dried the same issued remained. When I pointed this out to her she disagreed. Since she was pregnant and seemed very tired I didn't push. I left but after being only a block away turned around and went back. I spoke with Mgr and she had another stylist correct the area. Positive note is I love the color and cut. Downside is I lost 30 additional minutes due to the mistake.

The staff and stylists at this location were so very helpful, outgoing and fun. The staff went above and beyond to return a personal belonging back to me after my visit from out of town. I was very impressed by their professionalism in this situation. My hair looked great too!

This is a truly great salon and spa. The nail techs are all excellent, thoughtful and very well trained. And fun to chat with, too. Customer service is excellent, as are the products they use. I’ve been going here for many years. I’ve tried other places and they just don’t measure up to Avalon. Keep doing you’re doing as you’ve got it right!

Questionable quality of polish used, appointments always 20-30 min late and the manager of the salon has quite disrespectful tone when she speaks to clients. There are nice ladies working in the salon, and i feel very sorry for them.
In my opinion Avalon salon uses low quality products. My non chip manicure chipped off a day after the manicure and i had to come back for the fix. The very next day i had to travel to Milwaukee and a nail chipped off again. I had to stop by a salon in Milwaukee and spend my time again to fix the nails (again)
The other salon used exactly the same OPI polish and (oh miracle) my non-chip was not chipping off anymore. A lady in that salon explained to me that some salons dilute a polish to save money.
In any case i am never coming back. I can probably deal with a bad product and try a different polish, but disrespectful attitude I can not tolerate.

Today I had my hair highlighted and cut for the first time at Avalon Salon & Day Spa with Corrin. She did an amazing job and is so talented to know exactly what would suit me best. This is a truly great salon and spa. The nail techs are all excellent, thoughtful and very well trained. And fun to chat with, too. Customer service is excellent, as are the products they use.
