I usually don’t write reviews on any place unless I have an extremely negative experience. I’m also not one to be confrontational in person. This place closes at 6pm on saturdays which I was not aware of until arriving, however I came at about 4:45 which is not cutting it too close imo. I am extremely self conscious of my feet and the younger kid doing my pedicure was nice and didn’t make me feel uncomfortable. He did an alright job but definitely felt like he was rushing as he wanted to leave to go fishing. The woman who finished painting my toes did a good job, BUT they did not use the color I picked out!!! I wanted just a plain black color, and they used one with glitter in it. I didn’t notice until she was almost done painting and it was too late. The guy who did my manicure rushed sooo much through it and was pausing to look up at the tv a lot. He didn’t push my cuticles far back enough and didn’t reach the paint all the way down. His hands had leftover polish from his previous customer on them and he got excess black polish on my hands which just makes the whole thing look so sloppy. I could have done a better job myself. Also, the place in general just does not seem clean. The light you put your hand under was absolutely filled with old polish and just felt gross. I will definitely not be returning and am actually considering getting another manicure shortly to fix this. Waste of money. Read Less

Never going here again. I brought my wedding party here my sister almost cried because of her eyebrows were made then all of our nails were pulled up from the cuticles by 1 week later. They also make your nails look fat and wide. Read Less

This used to be my "go to" place for a long time over 6 years. I would recommend this place to EVERYONE. I haven't gone here in 2 years or more. They used to do an amazing job but they got so bad over time. After two days of getting my nails done they would always break on me and I'd go back to get it fixed and they would charge me more. I was extremely upset when this started happening. I'm so happy I finally found my new "go to" place in Algonquin! I recommend that other place as if it was this old place I used to go to. Visited this nail salon while my child was at a sports lesson. Was not impressed with the color selection- all old Opi and China Glaze colors.  No Essie colors at all. The pedicure was very good, but again, chose a color just to a choose one because literally ALL THE COLOR CHOICES ARE OLD.  Nothing current.  AT ALL. Woman talked me into a manicure and she took off my French No-Chip with a sanding drill that messed up my nails. Not sure why she used the drill because other clients were soaking in the 'foil fingers'. When I asked, she pretended not to understand my question. She then insisted on putting clear nail polish on when I told her I only wanted my nails buffed.  "It's better" she said. (Now she knows English!). Rather than argue, I let her and the polish didn't even cover the nail bed- barley touched the sides with the brush. There were no customers waiting so I don't know why the rush. Bottom line, if you're in the market for a mani-pedi in Crystal Lake, pass this place up... Mediocre at best.  I'll stick with Lady's Nails in Palatine! Read Less

I love this place. They have done beautiful work each time I've come. I have done both gels and shellac on my finger nails both with beautiful results. Pedicures are always fantastic and thorough. They have those cheese grater things that totally take all the dead skin off!! One thing I've noticed about most pedicure places is that their massages are disappointing. I've always had a great foot massage here. That is important to me.I don't know how a previous reviewer said her pedicure was so expensive. They cost the same as most salons around here. I'm so sad..this was my go to place. When I moved to the area I tried four or five nail salons and this was the best 7 years ago. Now, the past two-three times I've gone, my pedi's have been underwhelming. Also, they changed their pricing structure for the mani and pedi. A no chip Deluxe pedi and no chip mani would run me $65. Now $80! And the deluxe pedi wasn't anything like before. So disappointed. I did a regular pedi last time (to save a little money) and it wasn't good. I had gone there many times & always had such great experiences. However, in the past year or so every time I have gone there they have been less than good. I would not recommend getting a pedicure there, there aren't many techs who do a very good job. I called there 2 weeks ago asking the price of a gel fill & was told $20, which is the same as my normal place, but I was in town so I wanted to go there. I got there & was told it's $30 & the tech who did my nails clearly had no idea what she was doing. She had to remove my nail polish 3 times on several fingers and redo it because she kept messing up. I was there 30 minutes longer than I should have been because of her mistakes and was still charged full price for my nails. Needless to say, I will not be going back there. Read Less

I went here thinking they had a great price for a pink and white set.The tech that did my nails was in such a rush and was rough with my nails that they bled.Two weeks later I came n showing what happened to my thumb how his reckless job ripped off my real nail and all I got was that they were sorry.It took close to two months for it to heal and I went to another salon and they weren;t as rough and they look great. I've had two no chip manicures from this place and they were both FANTASTIC!  They lasted a little over 3 weeks each and didn't chip at all!  I've had compliments on my nails multiple times after I've had them done as well.  You won't be disappointed here! Read Less
