Treated myself to a mani pedi at Vie's tonight. They have great nail polish selection, no chip options and lots of new lines of nail colors. The staff are super friendly and there's a good atmosphere among everyone who works there from what I can tell. I went at around 7pm on a weeknight and everyone was busy so I had to wait a fair amount. That said, when it was my turn, the staff took their time and gave me the whole treatment- I didn't feel rushed. They were apologetic about the wait and made a point if saying they want me to come back. Overall- $35 for a mani pedi in a clean, friendly environment is great. After searching around for a nail place that would do a fill in for my fake nails, I stumbled upon Vie's and after going there I will never go anywhere else. They did such a great job fixing my fake nails and making them look much more natural. I also got a pedicure and it was amazing. I had such bad rough heels and they made them look and feel so soft. The staff was super friendly and the place was very clean. I live in Wrigleyville and nobody in my area would do a fill in so I walked all the way to Lincoln park and it was definitely worth the longer walk. I can't wait to go back again. Read Less

I went in to Vie's yesterday to get a full set of acrylic nails (something I've never had done before.) I called that day for an appt, which was nice especially because this salon was almost the only place I could find this service for a reasonable price. When I arrived, I was greeted by Cindy, who knew who I was and took care of me right away. The whole process was efficient and I LOVE my new set. They're excellently sculpted and sized and look beautiful on my hands. It took a little over an hour from arrival to the final drying and top coat which is pretty excellent. It took me quite some time to find a nail salon around the Southport area that I was happy with. I've been going to Vie's for about a year now and have never looked back. Tim takes his time and does a perfect job every time. My gel manicures typically last 3+ weeks and look great. Read Less

Definitely one of my fave spots in Chicagoland area. Just moved back to the area and am glad it's my local again. I love going to Vies. My mom has been going for years, and I recently made it my preferred place!  They are always so friendly, always remember who I am, ask about my grandma (who I brought in just once) and make me feel welcome! I was nearby and read reviews and decided to try for a no chip manicure. Not impressed with the interior, not saying it wasn't clean but, maybe just cluttered? There was a nail station RIGHT as you walked in the door. People I spoke to were SUPER nice, but that's not all it takes to keep a business going.  The tech I had was also SUPER nice but I noticed he had "stuff" under his nails. Not looking clean or well kept for working on someone else's..sanitary? His station was also falling apart. His drawer toppled over when he opened it (maybe time to update, not his fault). I didn't need much work done on my nails as I'd clipped and filed at home. Well..the end product was sloppy and the polish was put on to thick to where it collected at the tip and looks uneven. Also much polish on my cuticles, not clean. I paid and also tipped because the tech did do the work. I won't be back again. Read Less

I rarely write reviews unless I feel passionate about a certain business or service (good or bad) and I had to take the time out to write about Vie's Nails in Lakeview. Which is by far the best nail salon in Chicago I've been to! A little background, My nails are super thin and I am always hesitant in getting them done at a new place considering how fragile they are, and because of past experiences at other nail salons in this city. However, since I started going to Tim At Vie's Nails I have never went to anyone else. He takes time and care each time I come in, never failing to give my nails the best no-chip that literally doesn't chip and lasts 3 weeks + until I return. Another plus, He's also a great family man and puts a lot of personal care into his clients and the customer service they receive. Each person in his staff is also very talented and does a great job! My pedicures are almost always done by someone different, but have been flawless each time as well. I also have to mention the prices are very fair too. I had a no-chip mani and pedi for $55 and of course tipped in cash another $10. I will literally never go anywhere else! Read Less

I love my girl Cindy . I just have to sit down and relax , she does pick the best nail colors for my skin tone and she matches my toe nails with my finger nails , I use non chip on my finger nails. She also gives me the best pedicures and mani . She doesn't rush you, she does a great job . Read Less

Since my nail tech at my old spot in North Center left, I've been on the hunt for a GOOD nail salon. You know how hard that is? It's like trying to find a good hair stylist. I was running errands on Sautrday and was really in need of a pedicure. I saw this was a block away and decided to give it a go. I walked in around 2pm and they sat me down right away. There were about 3 other people getting their pedicures and another 3 getting their manicures. They have a decent selection of colors. I generally stick to Essie polishes, so I found a color I liked almost immediately.Overall, I had a GREAT experience. My nail tech (I didn't catch her name) was super nice in and I had a good amount of small talk with her.  (I'm not a fan of having conversations whilst getting my nails done LOL. I just like relaxing).What I liked the best was that she took her time, which to me, showed that she cared about getting it right. She totally did! I certainly wasn't in a rush, and if I wasn't enjoying the service, I may have been annoyed at how much time it took....overall took an hour and a half...but from the scrubs, to the massages, and care she took, I think I may have found my new favorite nail spot!!!I got the regular mani/pedi and it was $35.
