Excellent nail salon. I didn't have an appointment and they were busy but told me if I would come back in 30 minutes they could do my manicure and pedicure or I could relax on their comfy sofa's and read magazines. It is a very happy relaxing warm atmosphere and I think it was the best no chip manicure I have ever had they put an extra coat of polish on my nails beautiful results. This is my new go to salon. Walked in super anxious. I'm petrified of anyone using a drill on my natural nails. Years ago I had a nail salon drill dents on my nail bed when applying acrylics. Plus acrylics have a way of looking artificial. Lisa is a master at her craft. She listened to what I wanted and understood exactly the look I was going for. She added a little length yet they look like my nails but better. Thank goodness my first time back in a nail salon was the best I've ever had. Plus Lisa's humor was entertaining. This is by far and away the BEST no-chip manicure I've ever gotten.  I live in the South Loop, and stopped into Lisa's after my previous salon's work started chipping and peeling (once again) after only a week and a day of wear.  I'm on day 8 right now my nails still look impeccable--so much so that I honestly don't think I'll need another manicure by the end of week 2.  Her prices are on-par with other salons, but the work is so much better than what I've seen in the South Loop.  I'll become a regular, even if it means going out of the way!3/16/17 Follow-Up: Today is the first day since I got the manicure that I saw any lifting/minor nicks out of this manicure. This is a full TWENTY DAYS after getting the initial mani. And yes, I'm hard on my nails. Three business trips, lots of typing, four rounds of golf, and one day of yard work later my nails still look incredible! This is the longest lasting gel manicure I have EVER had!! I'm on Day 17 and counting.I flew into Chicago for business Sunday afternoon and was in urgent need of a gel manicure. I did a quick search on Yelp and showed up at Lisa's Nails 30 minutes before closing. Lisa was with a client but seeing my look of desperation, Lisa offered to stay late and give me a gel manicure.I was also debating between two colors and Lisa offered to do two coats of one color and one coat of the other to give me the perfect combo. I could hardly believe it -- doing me a favor to stay late AND going above and beyond what I would've ever expected or asked far. What a gem! And now after 17 days later no sign of chipping/peeling off, I knew I had to write a review!From now on, I will make it a point to visit Lisa whenever I visit Chicago! Ambiance is a typical nail salon and very clean and hygienic. I walked in on a Wednesday morning. Someone was 10m late for their appointment and the owner told me she would give her a call and if she didn't come soon or pick up, would give me the spot - which is what happened. As a customer I appreciate her attempts to contact the original appointment and still work to get me in. I got a gel nail polish removal, then gel manicure, and spa pedicure with Nina. It's been a week and a half now and my nails & cuticles still look great on both hands and feet. Nina shaped my nails and even repaired a broken one REALLY well. I had her alternate finger nail colors which was an additional charge. My total was $84. Besides the additional charge for just alternating colors, everything was reasonable for the quality of work.
