I have a regular salon i go to but I needed a nail fix asap so i stopped in. The salon is very cute and the i was very pleased with the no chip manicure I received here. The polish lasted longer, without any cracking or chipping, than any other no chip application I have ever gotten. Read Less

They got me in right when I walked in the door. Very friendly, polite staff, calming environment. My nail technician, Ashley, did a great job on both my mani & pedi. They got me in quickly when I called in the middle of the afternoon for a pedicure, which was great. My nails look good, but the scrub, massage, and loofah of my feet was so light that I kind of feel like I paid $30 to have someone clip my toenails? I've been to Nail Lounge twice now. First experience was great with Ashley (mani/pedi). I also had an unexpected shoulder massage which was an added bonus. This place is also open on Sundays which is great! Prices are competitive. Wait time minimal. My second time was good but not as good as my first because a different nail tech didn't apply color evenly. I do like this place though and will ask for Ashley next time. Read Less

Love the atmosphere and the nail techs always do an excellent job. Some techs are super fast and others are normal speed...no one is slow. Quality is always high.The no chips last a long time. Chairs are comfy and prices are reasonable. If there was any complaint it would be that there's not a lot of new no chip paint colors. i had acrylic nails on which were causing me so much pain! i found LK Nails were just down the road from my work and asked if they could help me out. they explained they didn't do acrylic nails but would do their best to help me out. they soaked off my acrylics and my nails were no longer in pain. I have been going to the nail lounge for years now, for both myself as well as my 3 daughters. We have had at least one birthday party every year for one of the girls and everything has always been great up until yesterday. I brought my youngest daughter in for her birthday with her 2 sisters and 3 of her friends to get mani /pedis. The first off- putting thing was when I called to make Apts, sunny the owner answered the phone and acted like she was bothered by the fact that I wanted to make Apts, when we arrived she did not say hello, hi, nothing, she did a terrible job painting my daughter's nails, she didn't even break a smile or speak to her, she never said thank you once we paid or bye,  okay fine. But this was too much for any mother, she pulled my daughter's ankles towards her while she was sitting in tube pedi chair so that her feet could be closer and easier for Sunny to paint, I thought, okay, I'm over reacting right, but when she grabbed her by her arm and pulled her across the salon to the drying area in an aggressive manner, in which she did, I thought I was about to lose it. I stayed calm since I didn't want to upset my daughter especially on her birthday, She's 6, BTW. I felt my blood boiling. The other staff were all fine, no complaints, however Sunny the owner should really consider getting the chip off of her shoulder before someone does it for her. I came into Nail Lounge after having a horrible experience at a different nail salon a couple of weeks prior. Talk about a difference! Sandra was amazing. I told her that I was slightly squeamish when having polish removed, so she was very delicate. My previous gel manicure was very hard to get off, but Sandra still took her time and never got frustrated. My manicure looks great and I will definitely be back!!! Read Less

Ehhh. There are so many nail places in Chicago, and this one just doesn't stand out. My no chip manicure only lasted a week, and even chipped on the same day that I got it. My no chip manicures usually last about three weeks at other nail locations around here. Other than that, the technicians were nice and the place is relaxing, so three stars for that. Read Less

This has been my go-to no frills nail salon for a few years. The staff is great, they know me by name, it's clean, and I can always get in quickly. There's also a great selection of gel manicure colors. I really like Sandra and Ashley; they both do excellent work. Bonus: the massage chairs actually give you a great massage! Usually, I just feel like a fool, sitting in a vibrating chair while my boobs jiggle around, but these chairs leave my back feeling sooooo good! Read Less

I visited here the first time recently and when I walked in I felt like it had a welcoming vibe, though it did take a couple minutes before anyone acknowledged me.  My friend and I had made an appointment to take advantage of their Tuesday discount for a Mani & a Pedi.  I thought both services were really well done.  They had a long lasting polish that was not gel polish, but still a little more than the regular polish.  I tried this one on my hands, and it lasted a really long time, at least 2 weeks.  I would visit here again. I was up north shopping at Akira and wanted to get my nails done yesterday (Dec 11, 2016). I read the other reviews and decided to come here. The place was clean and nice. However, they have a horrible selection of colors especially for no chip. They only have maybe 20 colors, no glitter, nothing fun! Don't expect to have any fun kind of nails. Even normal polish they didn't have fun colors! I am used to nail salons that have a ton of colors, but Nail Lounge did not. The spa pedicure was actually pretty good, not much massage, but relaxing. I didn't think the pedicure was that luxe or special. She also didn't scrub my feet that long. The no chip was good as well. My nails look nice, but I hated settling on a color because they didn't have what I was looking for. If you are a basic woman/man that likes simple colors, go here, but bring your own colors! This salon has the best no-chip manicures I have ever seen!  Two weeks after, my nails are still perfect, with the exception of the growth showing between the polish and my cuticles.  Sunny and her staff are wonderful, the service is quick and precise, and the salon is very clean and organized.  This is one of the quietest salons I've been to, which makes for a very relaxing experience as well.  Just be sure to get an appointment, evenings and Friday afternoons can get a bit crowded. I just had the spa pedicure, so I cannot speak to their other services. The facility is very clean and is large enough to have a lot of customers at once. My friend and I were late for our appointment and they were able to accommodate us even though they were quite packed. While my esthetician wasn't the friendliest, my feet look great. I went in today for a pedicure and gel manicure. The location was nice and I liked the atmosphere - comfortable chairs, quiet space. The pedicure was fine - but very brief and I felt like they were trying to go as fast as possible. My toes ended up looking good but a longer massage and better callus treatment would have made all the difference for me. The manicure was also fine. They had golf on the whole time which was surprising for a nail salon. An okay experience but I'll probably keep looking for a better place. Read Less

I work around the corner and I was hoping that this could be my weekly pampering spot. The place is very nice along with the employees as well. The technician that did my mani/pedi did not do a very god job and the selections of no chip was very limited in colors. I have not got my nails done in over two months so I new they needed work...they, my feet,didn't get it. She basically pushed back my cuticles and cleaned them up never actually removing the cuticle! weird. To finish it off she didn't paint my full nail it basically looked liked I had got my nails done a week ago and they had grown. Today, I had a really pleasant experience at Nail Lounge! I called at about 1pm to see if they had any open afternoon appointments for a mani/pedi; luckily, they had an opening at 2pm! I arrived shortly before my appointment time, was told to grab a color, and was in the pedicure chair right on time! As other reviewers have mentioned, this place is very quiet. Low music, muted TV, minimal chatting - just very chill, which I appreciate during my mani/pedi time. Sandra was great! Friendly, speedy, and very professional. I never felt rushed, but it was clear that this was process that was very efficient to their establishment. Price was great - $40 for mani/pedi combined. That included hot towels for my hands & feet, a light shin & calf massage, and a short neck & shoulder massage! No extra charges for any of those things!I'm from Indianapolis, but if I ever end up needing my nails done while I'm in the CHI, I would definitely check them out again! Read Less

I started going here a few years ago simply because I lived around the corner. Now if I'm ever in another part of town and I need my manicure done in a rush, I always regret that I didn't wait out to come to Nail Lounge. Just a quiet super clean place. I went in today to get a no chip manicure. Staff was very friendly and they were fast. I didn't feel rushed but they did get me in and out and I like that when it comes to getting my nails done. My nails were in pretty bad shape due to breaking while moving, since I got the no chip manicure, I was told if they peeled to just come back by and they would fix it. I thought that was very nice as most places would not openly address that but rather ignore it.I got a quick shoulder and hand massage at the end of the service which was a very nice touch.
