I’ve been visiting nail gallery for over a year and my manicures have gotten progressively worse. None of my no-chips last longer than a week. When I get them fixed they usually rush the process and they bubble and are ruined within days. The pedicure technicians are not anywhere near gentle either. I've never written a review in my life but I had to after visiting this place. This was the best manicure I've ever had and their service was amazing. They did a good job on my no chip manicure but the fact that the salon does not use individually sanitized tools is a deal breaker for me. Literally a technician finished doing a manicure on another lady, she dropped the tools in a cup with alcohol or water (who knows) and started doing mine. I would most likely never come back for that one reason. Sanitation is everything. Read Less

I used to go to Amy's about 4 years ago but switched to a nail salon closer to my home. Yesterday, I was in the area doing some shopping and knew I wouldn't be able to make it back to my usual salon before closing so I decided to check this place out again. I love it! The small additions added to a regular pedi and no chip as it relates to spa services is really nice. I don't get that at my other place. Overall, good experience here! I got a no chip manicure. The price is pretty good and you also get a punch card. The reason for 4 stars is it took a really long time and the woman actually forgot to put the shiny top coat on one of my nails. But, they lasted for a full 4 weeks without a single chip!!!! I really wanted this place to work! They have great ideas with the whole paraffin treatments and massages and I can see what they're trying to do with the place but I was so disappointed with my nails. Maybe it was cause I went in on a Saturday and it was really busy but I felt like the technician was so rushed! I got a pedi and a no chip mani. 4 of my nails chipped in less than 2 full days so I called and asked if I could get them fixed which they did but they just painted over them so they ended up looking really chunky and chipped again the next day. I was visiting downtown Chicago last week and decided to make a visit to this nail gallery. The whole experience was splendid. I usually don't go to nail salons but I don't regret coming to this place. The nail artist was really kind and did an exceptional job on my nails. I wish the service here was more consistent.  I was there Friday afternoon and got a no-chip (which I almost never get) that chipped yesterday morning on both of my thumbs. To make matters worse the woman that did my nails complained about them for the entire manicure- my nails were too short, my nail beds weren't even, I should start letting them grow longer and finally she was annoyed that the polish I had was "too thick" and kept making these grimaces while painting them. She was also talking to the other tech so much that she kept forgetting to turn the no chip machine on (it wasn't one that I could turn on by myself). I stumbled upon this place after another nail salon couldn't take me and was very pleasantly surprised. The regular mani-pedi came with some little bonuses, like a paraffin treatment, mini hot stone massage, and quick shoulder rub! Owner was nice, but it's clear that the majority of the staff are not fully trained to do nails. I walked in for a no chip mani and pedi, and there were 2 customers and a total of 6 plus nail techs. The girl who started my pedi took FOREVER to just cut the nails and nobody offered to do a mani simultaneously. Instead, there were 3 nail techs sitting at the table painting each other's nails, eating and gossiping. After an hour of just cleaning my feet, the nail tech just disappeared without saying anything to me while I sat there waiting for 10 mins. Finally,  the owner came over, fixed the cuticles that the previous girl failed to get of and painted my toes THEN I moved onto a no-chip. The no-chip faded/chipped that same day. I made a visit here while walking around the neighborhood on a Monday off from work. I was seated right away for my pedicure without an appointment, but the place was pretty busy for a Monday afternoon. Weekend or evening visitors may want to try making an appointment if possible. There are plenty of nail colors to pick from here. I would rate my pedicure an 8/10. My nail tech was great at her job, but my heels could have benefited from a little bit more scrubbing. Decided to try this place out due to the high reviews -  wasn't impressed. They rushed my manicure, cut too deep on a cuticle & caused it to bleed. I got a pretty horrible manicure here today. I tried to look past the paint job, but the more I check out my nails, the more I realize just how bad they are. Crooked cuticle lines, uneven polish application, and no attempt to clean up polish on my skin. Also, I have peeling cuticles on almost every finger and it has been 10 hours. I could have done a better job, and I am the worst at painting my nails. I'm sure some technicians are better than others, but no one should be employed in a nail salon when their work is this shoddy. 2 stars because they have nice perks like paraffin wax and hot stones included as part of the basic service, and everything up until the polish application was good. They are busy and a mini hot stone massage, a scrub and a long massage with lotion are included.Very thorough and professional!  I was in a hurry.  I walked in and they were able to do both a mani and pedi at the same time.  I have been happy with the longevity of the polish and the attention to detail to get a beautiful finished product!Weekday specials are awesome!  Chair massages and waxing also available. The people were so friendly and a great choice of colors.  I wish the massage part was a bit longer, but o well!!! I did have a chip on my no chip within a day, however, I called, went back in and they fixed immediately.  I have to admit I was annoyed by this, but they fixed with no problem and will give them another try and report back.  Since the fix, they  have stayed very nice, so hopefully it was just a fluke! I recently visited the nail salon to get a manicure and pedicure. I really enjoyed the service entirely. The staff is patient,polite and very helpful. The prices are definitely worth it. The staff give great massages and I personally enjoyed the wax and the hot stones that go along with the manicure and the massage chairs during the pedicure. I just had a disappointing no chip mani! When showing the lady which colors I wanted, she seemed annoyed that I chose two colors for my nails and tried to talk me out of getting a different shade on my ring finger. She appeared to be in a bad mood after that and was not very delicate with my hands. After leaving, I realized that half of my nails don't even have nail polish on them and there are some nails that have nail polish all over my skin. Never coming back! Read Less

Wow! Today was my first time here. I have been looking for a new nail place in my new neighborhood. I have to say I was so impressed! I got a no chip and a pedicure. The pedicure included a mini hot stone massage, a scrub and a long massage with lotion. The no chip included a mini back rub. My nail tech was very thorough. By the time it was all done my nails looked AMAZING. They took their time and did not rush. Price was very reasonable (they're running a special right now of $58 for no chip and pedicure). I felt good about the time and attention that Anna spent on my no chip manicure. There was one unevenly shaped nail that I asked her to reshape. She improved the shape. There are a few barely noticeable bubbles when she finished. Still, I was happy enough with my manicure. When I got home I realized my nails were flexible. I am not sure how this happened--perhaps it was applied a little too thin? I have had many no chip manicures and they are generally a pretty hard coating, hence its ability to not chip. I am waiting to see if my nails break or chip. Hopefully they do not. Read Less
