I got the powder nail for $40 for over 2 weeks now, and it looked just as perfect like 2 weeks ago! The service is fast and professional, although I'd like them to have more nail color selections and modern patterns. My friend had a little trouble getting what she wanted. I've been going to Twin Nails for years.  The staff is friendly and do their best at getting you in w/out an appointment.  MiMi is my gal and does a wonderful job!  I never leave there not satisfied of her work.  Their place is always clean and reasonably priced.  I highly recommend it here!! They got 5 of us in for an appointment together on a Sunday afternoon with only a few hours notice.  The staff was great, even when dealing with one of our group being a male who had never had a pedicure before!  We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will be back here if we end up traveling through Bloomington again! This place has poor sanitation of their utensils and overall does not deliver quality service. Their equipment is dusty, tools are kept in plastic bags and don't appear to be sanitized. My technician was not friendly and only appeared to care about my experience at the end when I was unhappy with the results. My no chip manicure turned out bumpy on 3 nails despite them attempting to fix it to my dissatisfaction. They offered to try a 3rd time, but it wasn't worth it. I could have done a better job myself. Extreamly disappointed. The reviews seemed so well and I'm from out of town. I went in on the 3rd of Oct. The guy who greeted me was very friendly and asked me what I wanted and where to sit. When the woman came she asked me what I wanted. I told her I'd like them to be coffin shaped but shorter due to work (I write and type a lot). She kept telling me how much better they'd look longer due to the shape I wanted. Finally after I kept telling her I understand what she was saying but I prefer the shorter coffin shape she finally cut them shorter. After she was finished I thought they looked nice and I was happy. Two days later 8 of my 10 nails started lifting and they were looking like I had them for a few weeks. Now I'm going to have to go to a different place to have them fixed and spend more money due to the lifting... we all know what happens when they start lifting ugh... Read Less

Love this place! Always pleasant. Sometimes busy, but always received great service here. I highly recommend it! Charge fo a fill for a shellac(no chip) is $35 like all other places around. Tip cannot be put on credit card. You will need cash for that. They do excellent work here and are very friendly. During busy times you may need to make an appointment. In town for work and I saw the sign for the salon. Read the reviews and thought I'd treat myself. Kim was awesome!!! Literally half of the time I was in the pedicure chair was the massage (which as we all know is the best part!!!). I had called Twins Nail to ask how much it would cost to have a Shellac (no-chip) polish change, making very clear to include that I did not want the manicure. The gentleman on the phone had stated that it was going to cost $22 for just a polish change, and I had scheduled my appointment for approximately one hour post-phone call. Upon arrival, they were very quick to help me and started right away. Bob had done a wonderful job on my nails, and he was very patient and careful with his work. However, once the appointment had ended he had stated that my total for the day was going to be $45 dollars. Not having my nails done often, I wasn't sure what was included in a manicure. He soaked my hands in a bowl, which I assumed was to remove the previous shellac from my nails. He then cut my cuticles, which I assumed was typically included in the polish change as it is back in my home town. He finalized with a massage on ONE arm, which I thought was just strange but ignored it. When I notified the gentleman I spoke with on the phone about the price difference, he simply said "sorry, I forgot." Being a non-confrontational person, I just said "it's fine" and walked out the door. Keep on your toes with them and make sure they don't overcharge you. Read Less

Very nice salon.  Staff was super friendly.  I had a basic pedi and pink fill.  Exactly what I needed and price was reasonable.  Very professional and squeaky clean.  Nails look great. Always very attentive to detail. Very nice people, and get to you fairly quickly, even on busy days. Every time I go, I have had a positive experience. I would give 5 stars if it weren't for two things... One, a lot of the nail techs don't talk to you at all.  Two, I asked for a very simple design my last visit and I ended up having to do the design myself. Had a fabulous time here with my mom. I called beforehand to make an appointment for noon, and they fit us right in for 2 gel mani's and 2 pedis. We got there a little late but not to worry, they sat us right down with two glasses of wine.The woman doing my toes was so sweet! She was talkative, but not too much, and was incredibly nice to my mom and I. When I suggested I might actually want a color on my toes instead of clear, she quickly grabbed a few options that she thought would match my skin tone.. I chose a navy. My gel manicure is fab. I generally do gel clear just to my nails stay clean for longer than a week or so. They're shiny, healthy and look awesome. Will definitely be coming back here when I'm back in town! Read Less

I got pretty cut up during my recent shellac mani.  She did not tell me her name, but it is the lady in the first row, last station (#4, I think).  Beware if you are seated here, as you will get the same lady I did.  I am adding photos of the cuts (black/dark purple polish), so you can see they are not minor.  They are three days old, so they have healed somewhat, but you can imagine how bad they were at the time. Stopped in for a quick, basic mani pedi. Kinda disappointed.  I usually do them myself but wanted them to look a little more cleaned up for some upcoming events.  I was bummed the polish I chose wasn't put on smooth and evenly once I took a good look at it.  Where the polish meets my cuticles just wasn't as clean as I am used to from a salon. I like the people that work here. They're very nice and professional. I also like that I can get in and out of here very quickly without even having made an appointment. I've got manicures and pedicures here twice. Both times my nails, feet, and hands looked great. I got a french manicure with shellac here before that did not last as long as other shellac manicures I've had, but I can't complain too much about it because the price was better than other places I've been. I have been to nearly every nail salon in Bloomington-Normal, I think, and Twins Nail is the best. Something I saw mentioned in another review is use of the credo blade (foot razor). I have never had them use it without asking me first; if you don't want to endorse usage, then just say you don't want that. It's bad for your feet anyway--it causes the calluses to grow back faster. No matter what treatment I have come in for (basic pedicure, deluxe pedicure, plain manicure, acrylics, shellac), they have treated me like I was a big spender. Everyone there is nice and talented--Tony is my favorite because I swear my polish lasts longer when he does it!
