I came here to get my acrylic set taken off and the lady I worked with scraped the acrylic off (which hurt a lot to do) using another nail and nail clippers. When I went to check out she told me ten dollars which was very expensive for taking a short amount of time to do and using no resources that required to be bought after each use. They never soaked them or anything, they just ripped them off. I tried asking why it was so expensive when she did a poor job and they all just laughed despite my asking many times. I went in for the first time and paid 23 dollars for a french tip. They told my friend who got the same that in two days she might want to add a top coat because it will chip.... why are we paying money for this then? I come here about every two weeks to get my nails done mostly done by Vivian until she no longer worked there. I continued coming and had most of the nails techs and Michelle does an amazing job. Today I was disappointed because I had the lady at #4. I had her once before and she did a poor job. She barely took any time in filing my nails and I had to tell her to redo it because it seemed like she did not put any effort in it. I still tipped her over 20% assuming she was maybe having a bad day or still training. I came again today and the shape of my nails is awful. I’m not the type to complain because I know some people could have a bad day. when she started using the drill it seemed like it was sloppy like she wasn’t putting an effort. When it came to shaping my nail, she once again did it so fast that my nails didn’t even look like a shape. I asked her to redo it again and she did all of them within a couple of seconds. I was frustrated because this was the second time I had to ask her to redo and she didn’t even take the time. I tipped her $5 still because she still took the time to do my nails. I’m honestly very disappointed in my nails and going to another salon to get them done again. It was my first time coming here and I got a no chip manicure for my baby shower. Four days later my nails started chipping off and I hadn’t done anything for them to do so. I’m pregnant so I don’t work with harsh chemicals that would be able to take this off. I went back in the following Saturday (today 3/24/18) to express my concerns and all I’m told is that it’s not guaranteed to last. I know it’s not going to last forever, but it didn’t even make it a week. I went here because is closer to where I have just moved. I guess I’ll be going back to my old place where it would at least last 3+ weeks. Even though you can see growth my regular place doesn’t chip. I was in the strip mall and made a last minute decision to get a pedi. I was taken right away by a guy. He was very rough and my nails are long on the left foot and clipped short on the right.  After I was done drying I realized he missed a spot. The ladies there were so nice and came over to paint my nail. But my nail was not missing polish, he clipped a corner right off. The lady painted my skin so it wouldn't look chipped. Read Less

The guy didn't speak English and was so rough cuting my cuticles that he cut my skin, which made me bleed 3 separate times, the nail polish was almost gone he poured some liquid in there to make it last which created bubbles all over my nails they looked terrible I will never go back and if I were you I would not spend a dime there! I came in for an eye brow wax. As I was sitting in the waiting area, I overheard a technician speaking to a teenager and giving her life advice. Everything seemed fine until she went on to speak about gay people and black people. I could not believe the nonsense I was hearing. She spoke about how there were " good" black people and "bad" black people and the "bad" ones used to spit on her when she was on the bus when she was younger. (Note: I am black). I gave her a glare and we locked eyes. I seriously thought about walking out. But as I was looking up other nail salons in the area, that particular technician called my name. I froze and I went with her in the back. It was so strange being in the presence of someone who overtly expressed these views and knowing she held pre-conceived notions about me without even knowing my name. She looked at me and said "you look nervous." She probably thought I was nervous about the wax. The truth was, this woman made me nervous and I am never going back. The staff was rude upon entering, and didn't set a good impression, I still decided to do my nails though, worst decision ever. This salon is very unorganized and don't really ask you what you want, I wanted my nails a certain way but were left another way. The nails paint began to chip away after a few hours, and the person doing my nails didn't bother telling me if he was finished with my nails or not and just left. I've been going to this place for 2 years and never had a problem they squeeze me in every time. Today I went there and they were busy so I made a appointment for me and my 8 year old daughter and came back later that day. The one guy did a horrible job on my toes!! So I made him redo them. My daughter sitting next to me the whole time. 2 hours later she's still sitting there they finish me and told me to wait some more to get to her. I got upset because I set and watched them take person after person and continue to skip over her. Come on now!! Sees 8 years old it takes 10 mins to Polish her tiny nails. Why is this salon charging  $40 for a gel fill as if it's a no chip?! Previously I went in and asked for full set with white tips and he said he couldn't do that but would make it look the same then charged me $70! Anywhere else I go a full set of gel is $40ish including polish! Both times I have gone & did not get what I asked for and instead was charged more FOR THE SAME THING!  A gel fill is the same Polish used for a no chip but now they charge $40, but when I asked how much for gel fill I was told $25. Love this salon! My no chip routinely lasts 3 weeks or until my nails grow out. The salon is clean and the staff are great. I've been going here for years and have only had great experiences. They are very busy on weekends so I'd suggest coming in on a weekday or call ahead for a weekend appointment. Read Less

I have been coming here for a year until recently. I was having my engagement party and treated myself and one of my bridesmaids to a manicure and pedicure. I made the appointment a week ahead and told them we had a special event that day. We were 2 minutes late and we waited more minutes for someone to acknowledge us. They told us since we were late, we have to come back. I was outraged, I told them that this is not professional. I was going to hire them to do our nails for my wedding, now I am not. I am glad to have this happen before my wedding. Also, even if you are on time you would still be waiting a long time, they are always crowded. Read Less

I've been here twice in the last 4 years for pedicures.  One of the men did my pedicure the first visit.  He was a little rough and didn't file my toenails evenly.  He was very nice though.  Overall he did a pretty good job and my toes did look nice.  The 2nd visit I had a lady who was very nice and did great work but I didn't like how wide she painted the white tip on my french pedicure.  When you think "French Manicure/Pedicure" you don't imagine anything could go wrong with that but somehow, with Murphy's Law, life finds a way to do that.  My toes did look beautiful but with the wide stripe, I looked like I was from Crazy Town.  I've thought about going back but I'm reluctant because of the language barrier.  I'm allergic to perfumes in soaps and lotions and want to bring my own products.  I asked the lady who did my pedicure to not use the lavender scrub but she smiled and kept going.  They changed the price on me too.  The brochure gives one price but the guy at the desk asked for $2 or $3 more than what's on the brochure.  It's not the money, it's the principal.  If you state a price in the brochure, that should be the price you charge.  I didn't like that.  That behavior is kinda shady to me :( Read Less

Though this review is about 6-8 months late, I've been here around 8 times and haven't ever had a BAD experience. YES, at times there is a wait.  Is that really surprising being in a suburb of Chicago??  Aurora has almost 200,000 people in it.  SO, I'm not even complaining about the wait, that's a given.  My mom and I have gone in together at times, and sometimes I went w/ my daughter. Depending on how busy they are; you can sit next to each other and get them done together/ sometimes not.  I really don't think they are obligated to give ya'll pedicures at the EXACT same time side by side.  Seems like a ridiculous thing to complain about, honestly. I've gotten numerous ladies when I've went alone, and w/my mom and they have always done a wonderful job.  Honestly.  They really have.  There was a man once who wasn't very good at doing nails, and was more concerned w/ his phone stating "someone be blowin' up my phone" (wait what? Slang for texting, I'm sure), and in addition I've overheard other women complain about their nails when he finished..but I'm positive he isn't working there anymore, and I only had him work on my nails once. The other ladies there are personable, and do a great job w/ the pedicures.  I suppose some may be better than others, but I really wasn't keeping a score sheet to compare. Was there a week ago and called ahead to set an appointment for my sister and I. We we got there they started the pedicure for my sister but mine wasn't started till hers was finished. Then as we were getting our manicures the male technician cut my sisters finger and acted like nothing happened. Then the technician I had called me fat to my sister while I was next to them washing my hands. She also kept yelling at me to stop talking while she was painting my fingers  but then was asking me questions. I was so confused and I did give them a tip but I really shouldn't have. Good afternoon.  I used to come to this shop years ago and stopped because of the HORRENDOUS  CUSTOMER CARE!November  2014 I decided  to give them another  try. I thought that I found a gem. .or so I thought when VAN started doing my nails. Today April 2015, the day before Easter, I called early in the morning  and  made an appointment  for 415pm with  VAN. I got there on time and waited until 433. I asked if I could soak the no chip polish off prior to Van Attending  to me. The lady said ok...then she proceeded  to speak to VAN in their native tongue and VAN looked at me and said "I have NO TIME FOR YOU!"  I asked her if she was serious..she said  "YES"...upon telling them I called, they said know but she is busy with  customers  try someone else....I told them they should be considerate of people's  loyalty and time. I too  am a customer with an appointment.Let's  face it there is a shop on every corner and POOR SERVICE  will get nowhere. I clearly told them I would not be back. They had the nerve to say okay!  As I walked out I saw that they had done the same with other patrons.  I am utterly disgusted to say the very  least!If I could give a negative rating I defiantly  would. THIS REVIEW IS FOR WAXING ONLY.I also had my nails done there at the same time, and it was ok, I would give the about 2 stars for the manicure (Very busy salon, and hectic! Was a little rushed and kept getting my polish messed up, they just kept layering it on and it would never dry right!) Although they were friendly they are too busy to really do things right.OK, now for the Waxing, I would NEVER go back for the waxing either. I had a Full Leg & Brazilian & Eyebrow wax done. Waxing was done in what is basically a closet, in the back of the salon, (The bathroom looked nicer) with a cot that is on top of storage supplies, and surrounded by stacks and shelves of supplies, towels and other items for the salon, in an already small room. The girl was very sweet but did not know any of the good positions to help the process go smoother, and so it took longer than it could have been if she was better trained/experienced. (UNFORTUNATELY SHE DIDN'T EVEN WEAR GLOVES) She said they just get messy when she gets wax on them, so she goes with out.... Yes, as I said before: I got a Brazilian done, so it was gross, and probably against a health code, you would think.Wax was all over the walls, from it splattering from when they pull the strips off, and since it is such a small room it gets everywhere!It got the job done, and I did not get and infection. The guy that did my nails had terrible body odor and smelled like smoke.  The combination almost made me gag.  He then kept using his filthy thumb nail to clean up the polish around the edges.  It was very unsanitary! I couldn't wait to get out of there.  He looked and smelled like he hadn't showered in days.  I enjoyed the pedicure given by one of the gals.  The pedis are always nice.  Reasonably priced but I'm afraid to go back as I might get stuck with him. We have been here three times now for a pedicure and the service is always pretty good. The first time they sat me and my husband and started our feet soaking right away so even though we had to wait it was more than fine... The second time no feet soaking while waiting in the chair... And this time (currently still there), my feet are soaking and my husbands aren't! All and all - they give a very nice pedicure with a WONDERFUL leg scrub/massage. Also. I went in here on a Sunday because I needed a manicure and my other place is closed on Sunday and this was the only day I could go. At first impression I a) felt uncomfortable walking in because I walked into the door and everyone just sort of starred at me like what did I think I was doing there and b) was thrown off because they only had one little itty bitty rack of polishes by the front door and the rest of the racks with colors were randomly place throughout the shop behind the chairs and in the back of the shop. I had to excuse myself to get to one of the racks because one manicurist was sitting right in front of the rack I wanted to look at doing someone's nails. I don't think that's a good idea it was hard to find a color I wanted and I felt awkward walking through the shop I felt like I was interrupting.I also thought that it was a bit tight in there. The chairs were really close together and the pedicure chairs are angled facing the front of the shop which I assume is so they can fit more chairs in the back. But my opinion is that if I went in there with my girlfriend or mom I would want to be able to talk to them and with the chairs that way you wouldn't be able to. After I got settled in, picked my color, and got started with my manicure the manicurist was very friendly and nice and she even offered me a drink while I was getting my nails done which I though was a nice touch. My mother and I have gone into Deluxe a few times and had Shelly, who is wonderful. The last time I was in there though, it was a terrible experience. I told them it was my birthday, and explained what I wanted which I had a couple of questions on. I thought the lady and I were on the same page, but after listening to that younger woman in there talk nonstop in another language and laugh for about 40 minutes, it became apparent I wasn't getting the no chip polish like I wanted. I asked about it, was told that I said I wanted the gel nails, not the gel no chip, and then told to go sit at the light. Whatever. I waited my 15 minutes, went to get in my car, and messed up my nails. When I went back in, all they did was tell me I was wrong again. I just gave up and left. I normally get no-chips at tons of places but this one is by far my favorite. I have only been here twice... two weeks ago and again today... but both times the no-chip I received beat out any other no-chip I've had, anywhere. They do a beautiful job, absolutely flawless. I've only had one no chip manicure ever, and it was disastrous. I decided to give it another shot, going with this place after reading reviews. The shop itself is nice. Pedicures in the back, manicure tables up front. I was welcomed as I entered, and immediately taken to a table. Everything was clean and neat, and my nail tech waited patiently as I chose a color from one of the color wheels (they had A LOT) of choices. The particular color I chose was gelish brand, though I'm not sure if that's exclusively what they use. My sister, who gets no chip manis all the time tells me that gelish is the best brand by far, and I really liked it. My nail tech was very, very thorough and made sure it was even and perfectly applied. She was sure to ask that I liked it and was happy. I definitely plan on going back. The only negative thing I can say is that you can't put a tip on your card payment. I had no cash on me and felt like a moron. I'll make sure I have cash with me next time. Read Less

I've been going here for over a year now religiously every 2 weeks! I love Nancy that's who I see regularly but I think all the girls are great. Im very picky about my nails. I get gel nails but I still like them to look very natural and Nancy always does a great job! I've also seen Michelle and she does a great job as well. The girls are always nice, welcoming and fun to talk to. They also keep the salon very clean which I appreciate! I definitely reccommend them. Read Less

I first got my nails done here on Labor day.(Acrylic full set) Which i was overcharged for. They charged me $35, online it says the service is $30, and $10 off of a full set.(Acrylic full set) The nails started to lift 2 days later, went back to the salon. I wanted them removed and my money back, but they refused and instead i got them filled in. I asked if they start to lift again could i come in and they be taken off and redone, which they said yes. When i came back in about a week because they were lifting again the staff there was very rude. When i first walked in every staff member was sitting around and they all just looked up at me and then continued to sit around, i had to actually say excuse me and get someones attention. Once i had told one woman what had happened, and how i was suppose to come back and get them redone she just said ""no, come back tomorrow and we will do a manicure"" and continued to go back to what she was doing before i even responded back. So, me and my bf just stood there baffled until a man came up and asked what i needed. I told him the same thing and he also said to come back tomorrow for a manicure and i explained to him that i was told they would get redone and i would not be driving back to the salon for a fourth time because i live an hour away. He just continued to tell me no. So i just walked out. Also, a manicure only costs $15. So, in other words i would have paid $35 for a manicure and hassle. Then the next day i called and spoke to the manager where she also just said no, and denied that i was overcharged and was VERY rude. i told her i lived an hour away and she said ""I don't care, i don't care if you lived in California"" Wouldn't even let me speak at all really, would talk right over me. Also, claimed it was my nails when I've had many acrylic sets and they never lifted. She said that she would never let anyone do my nails again. My best friend told me that she loved this place for mani/pedi, and as we had the day off, we decides to take ourselves for mani's. My friend got a normal mani and an eyebrow wax that she was very pleased with. I decided in a Hot Stone Therapy mani and got Shelly. She was very thorough (and a bit pushy about trying additional services). Tips of my fingers to up to my elbows was treated. Hot wet towels, parifin on hands, exfoliation, and of course polish - $25. Wonderfully relaxing :)The music is kinda 90's boy band meets 80's love songs, but it wasn't really bad. I'd like to try their pedi. The chairs look awesome and my friend swears they do a great job, but...CAUTION: They will NOT include tip if you use your card to pay. I think it's their way of getting cash tips so they don't have to claim it in their taxes. That is the one thing I REALLY don't like and delays my return. I pay EVERYTHING with my card and rarely ever have cash. I had to have my friend run to the bank and get some cash for me to pay her, which was VERY annoying and inconvenient. Read Less
