I happen to find rukshana on Groupon for laser hair and I'm so happy I did! Granted I only have had 1 laser hair treatment on my under arms (next one is coming up in a couple weeks). I wanted to write a review from start to finish and let you know the process along the way. First off rukshana is the sweetest little lady. She is very knowledgeable and made me feel extremely comfortable! First session went great with very little pain (I don't know if I would even call it pain tho- more of an annoyance).  I will keep you posted on my further sessions!  I guess I should mention how hairy I am? This was my first time at this salon because it was recommended to me by a friend. Staff was super sweet and I got an amazing discount, but unfortunately I am not satisfied with my hair. When I left the salon it was styled so pretty I couldn't tell anything was wrong with it. I got home and realized that she cut my hair uneven in the front (I wanted layers) and she cut my hair way shorter than I wanted it to be. I also had random short hairs on the right side of my hair. I had my haircut today by Judy, the owner.  This was my first time visiting the salon. Judy could not have been nicer and she gave me a wonderful haircut, a great blow dry and style.  I was very pleased and can't wait to go back for future hairstyling needs.   Also, I was about 10 minutes late for my appointment due to a situation out of my control, I felt awful about being late, apologized to Judy, and she could not have been any more understanding about my late arrival.  Thanks Judy for such a great experience, I'll be back for sure! Rukhsana did an amazing job with laser hair removal. I'm Italian, so I am pretty hairy by nature. I have don't laser hair removal multiple times in my life, all over my body, starting in middle school. It works well on darker coarser hairs. However, it doesn't last forever and you need to go back for maintenance. I would say it takes about 12 sessions then you are good for about 2 years. I started seeing Rukhsana when I noticed I had to start shaving my patchy armpits again. I have always don't laser hair removal at a doctor's office, so I was a bit apprehensive. Rukhsana used the same machine that the doctor's office did. She took the time to ice the area to make it less painful (I'm not gonna lie- armpits hurt to get lasered almost as much as the bikini!). I needed a change from my current hair style.  I also dyed  my hair a dark brown color, which was nice but it made me look washed out.  My daughter recommended I get a hair make over with Judith at True Salon.  I was really nervous since it had been years since I changed the way I wore my hair.  From the moment I got there Judith made me feel comfortable and asked me how I would like my hair to look and what was I trying to achieve with a new style and color.  I told her My current look was aging and not very flattering.  She suggested highlights, and a warmer color. She also recommended cutting it to give it more shape and volume.  Well, all I can say is she made my hair look beautiful and I look about 10 years younger!!! LOVE The salon and the stylists. My favorite is Mandy !!! She is a certified colorist and REALLY knows what she is doing. I had black hair and wanted a change and go a little lighter. Mandy explained the process and made me feel comfortable. I will always go back to her. I get bored easy with my hair color and style. Mandy can adapt to any kind of style and color. I chose to go to this salon after reading the reviews and gave it a shot. I made an appointment with Mandy. AWESOME!!!! Two beauticians before her at two different salons screwed up my hair and I was an ugly blonde. It was super brassy and my hair was just not cut right and damaged. Mandy asked me what I wanted and I simply told her and we looked at pictures. I'm naturally a medium brown but she made me look like a natural blonde!! She fixed the brass, my roots, and gave me an amazing cut. My hair needed a total renovation and it got it! Super happy!!! I just went to this salon yesterday with a Groupon Deal and like many reviewers, I had a great experience. I went to the True Salon because of a Groupon Deal yesterday and i have to say, that I got the best haircut and color + highlights of my life! Judith did an outstanding job, her knowledge and skills are just impressive. My hair looks fantastic, I love it!I would rate her work with even more than 5 stars if i could. However, sadly I had to take one star off and that's because of the environment. I'm not lying by saying i was about to leave the second I walked in. It just looks old and dirty, hair was laying around the chairs, color spots are all over the floor, there were even hairs stuck on the mirror in front of me. This place is so far from being ritzy or at least inviting and I feel really bad for saying that, but it's just the truth. However, I will still go back!!! How has no one reviewed this place? My inner Yelper came out because I chose this place based on A- the $30 Shellac manicure coupon I got, and B- the opportunity for a FTR! They were friendly on the phone and right down the street from me, so while I was chatting with Amy, who did my nails, I asked how long they've been open.Over 2 years. Oops. I felt a little bad because I've never noticed them... they're even RIGHT next door to Wayne's Pizza, which I LOVE (shout out)! Anyhow, it's a cute yet smallish place, average prices, and friendly staff. They do hair and nails and in true manicure fashion were doling out doctor rec's to a lady who needed a knee replacement, shellac vs. gelish advice to my inexperienced self, and diet/tv/love advice to one another and anyone else who wanted it.
