Terrible place. Thought I'd give it another try after having avoided it for a few years after I got a fungal infection. Owner/manager is EXTREMELY rude and not customer-friendly. Also not honest. Few people available to do nails, and even if you have an appointment, they won't necessarily honor it. Nail polish selection old and dried out. Cleanliness only average. Rest room is disgusting. Would not recommend and will definitely avoid in the future. Better places at Randhurst and in downtown Mount Prospect.

I had previously been told if I had any problems with my manicure to come back and they would fix it. Got a full set of acrylic nails yesterday and thought that they didn’t look good, but thought I would give it a day just to make sure. The following day I returned because the nails really did not look like a french manicure and I was not happy with the shape, my mom had previously made an appointment for me to come back to fix them. When I walked in there were only a few people there, and I was the only one waiting. After about 20 minutes, I was approached by the extremely rude owner who started yelling at me that the nails looking bad was my fault and that they didn’t have any time to fix my nails. HOWEVER, she would be willing to fix them if we paid extra. Meanwhile, they took four other girls who had walked in with no appointment. Extremely disappointed in their customer service. Started coming here because they were less expensive than my previous place, but it really goes to show that you pay more but get better service. Will never be returning.

I went in for a polish change... first off no current colors to choose from finally find my color and they ask me to pay I go the polish change is 5 and the lady kept telling me no it's 7 I went back and fourth that their pricing said otherwise. She did a half ass job ... after she did my nails she went back to eat I asked to get a nail fixed told me to get up and find the color. DO NOT RECOMMEND

If you're going to come here, make an appointment with Tina. She is the BEST with nails. I have been coming here on and off for the last 10 or so years. My last experience was the worst because I had been growing my nails out for a long time now. I had the perfect length down. Well one last started filing my nails and another guy finished on the other hand, needless to say every single nail was basically different and I was so upset. He had to file them down super short in an attempt to make them even. And though I said I wanted them long in the first place nothing was said to me. I really just think Making an appointment with Tina is the best route here

I've had different people work on me, and all of my mani-pedis have turned out great and lasted a long time. Good ventilation, lots of magazines, and a TV. What more could you want?

Even though they were closed she took her time even cleaned up my cuticles and stayed an hour late just to accommodate me! Yes, the decor can be updated but if they do a good job WHO CARES??!!!! And if your nails are uneven or the wrong color try paying attention!!! Look up from your phone, tablet or mag and open your big mouth and say something to the lady doing your nails instead of bashing them on yelp for something so easily fixable! Im SOOOOO happy w my nails and cant wait to go back for a pedi and eyebrow wax. I'll let you guys know how that goes.... Thanks again, Tina! Your awesome!!

I asked for a specific OPI color but she used a random ghetto brand because she didnt wanna waste her OPI or so it seemed. I said that wasnt the color i wanted and she started to paint my pinky and i pulled it away but she grabbed it harder! I couldn't believe this. So eventually she painted it what i wanted and let my hostige pinkey free! I wont be back.

I have been going there for several years. I went in for a pedi and a no chip mani. The pedi looked like I did it my self at home it was so messy with nail polish on my skin. I was looking at the no chip colors didnt like any and asked if they carried OPI no chip colors. They said no and then I told them I will just get a mani since I didnt like the colors available. She then pulls out the basket of OPI no chip....I thought you didnt carry them..she obv didnt want me to get a mani and wanted me to pay for a no chip. The no chip sucked and needed another coat you can see thru the color. When i get a full set done the nail turns out so thick when they are suppose to be thin and natural looking. They have good prices if you are looking for a cheap ok place to go to.

I have been going to this place for years, and with each visit it gets worse! For someone that has been giving them business and tips well, they have no problem throwing their trainees at me every single time. The girls usually come by a couple of times during my appointment and yell at him too. They also file my nails VERY short (DESPITE THE FACT THAT I ASK THEM NOT TO) and they usually file them lop-sided. I was unhappy with them for a while, and I decided to give them one last chance a month ago and they definitely have lost my business! I would rather pay a little more for a professional place than a dump like this.

One star is one too many! Terrible, terrible, terrible!!! Based on other Yelp reviews, I scheduled an appointment for a mani/pedi. Arrived and waited with my feet soaking for 30 minutes. When the nail tech finally came over, he was rushed and filed my very first toe so hard he cut my skin all the way across the tip of my toe. I told him to stop because I was bleeding. He started trying to make excuses... while I bled. I left and will NEVER go back there. Don't waste your time with this place. Unprofessional, discourteous, and dangerous.

I went here early on a Saturday morning recently for a pedi and I must say...I have had better. I did get to walk right in and had a spot right away without an appointment which was nice. My technician was nice enough, but the pedi itself was just a little lacking. I flinched a time or two because they cut my cuticle too closely, and after I was done, I noticed they had filed one of my toes sort of lop-sided. Also, there was color left on several spots on my skin, and I got a darker polish, so not super pleased about that. I wouldn't say I could have done better on my own, but even if it is sort of cheap, no color on my skin, please! I won't be going back, but it was cheap and worth a try.

I needed a quick french manicure for a wedding tonight and they did an awesome job. My nail technician did an perfect job keeping the shape and length of my nails the way I like it. You'd be surprised at how many nail salons have difficulties doing so. My nail technician worked quickly and carefully and he even managed to sneak some funny jokes into the short conversation we had. The decor could use a little updating, but besides this, the place was pretty good. I paid only 15 for a manicure so it was definitely worth it.

Mani's and pedi's are extrememly reasonable. I go here because its cheap, appears clean, (although the decor could use some work), and the people that work there are real friendly and nice. If you want a specific person though, you should make an appt. Tina (who i think is the owner) is always being requested. She's prob the best, i seem to think any of the guys are just as good. Theyre also quick- i seem to prefer that as Im always on the go.

Terrible place. Thought I'd give it another try after having avoided it for a few years after I got a fungal infection. Owner/manager is EXTREMELY rude and not customer-friendly. Also not honest. I had previously been told if I had any problems with my manicure to come back and they would fix it. Got a full set of acrylic nails yesterday and thought that they didn’t look good, but thought I would give it a day just to make sure. 1st time here. Walked in 20 mins before closing and Tina welcomed me w a smile, enthusiasm and took me w/o hesitation! I got gelle nails w no chip (prices are great too!) She did a fabulous job! Even though they were closed she took her time even cleaned up my cuticles and stayed an hour late just to accommodate me! Yes, the decor can be updated but if they do a good job WHO CARES??!!!! And if your nails are uneven or the wrong color try paying attention!!! Look up from your phone, tablet or mag and open your big mouth and say something to the lady doing your nails instead of bashing them on yelp for something so easily fixable! Im SOOOOO happy w my nails and cant wait to go back for a pedi and eyebrow wax. I'll let you guys know how that goes.... Thanks again, Tina! Your awesome!!

Found this place on Google. Last minute choice. Never going back even to have them fix my twice NOT "fixed" gel manicure. Young, rude tech thought it was "cute" to be arrogant. Poor lighting, deco & poor job. They tried to fix but left with "ugly" poor quality job. Had to cover gel with regular polish. Looked waaay better than their botched job! Stay away

It really depends on what nail "tech" you get. I have stopped going here because the nail lady (older one) did my no chip a random color! I asked for a specific OPI color but she used a random ghetto...

I asked for a specific OPI color but she used a random ghetto brand because she didnt wanna waste her OPI or so it seemed. I said that wasnt the color i wanted and she started to paint my pinky and i pulled it away but she grabbed it harder! I couldn't believe this. So eventually she painted it what i wanted and let my hostige pinkey free! I wont be back.

I have been going there for several years. I went in for a pedi and a no chip mani. The pedi looked like I did it my self at home it was so messy with nail polish on my skin. I was looking at the no chip colors didnt like any and asked if they carried OPI no chip colors. They said no and then I told them I will just get a mani since I didnt like the colors available. She then pulls out the basket of OPI no chip....I thought you didnt carry them..she obv didnt want me to get a mani and wanted me to pay for a no chip. The no chip sucked and needed another coat you can see thru the color. When i get a full set done the nail turns out so thick when they are suppose to be thin and natural looking. They have good prices if you are looking for a cheap ok place to go to.

I have been going to this place for years, and with each visit it gets worse! For someone that has been giving them business and tips well, they have no problem throwing their trainees at me every single time. The girls usually come by a couple of times during my appointment and yell at him too. They also file my nails VERY short (DESPITE THE FACT THAT I ASK THEM NOT TO) and they usually file them lop-sided. I was unhappy with them for a while, and I decided to give them one last chance a month ago and they definitely have lost my business! I would rather pay a little more for a professional place than a dump like this.

One star is one too many! Terrible, terrible, terrible!!! Based on other Yelp reviews, I scheduled an appointment for a mani/pedi. Arrived and waited with my feet soaking for 30 minutes. When the nail tech finally came over, he was rushed and filed my very first toe so hard he cut my skin all the way across the tip of my toe. I told him to stop because I was bleeding. He started trying to make excuses... while I bled. I left and will NEVER go back there. Don't waste your time with this place. Unprofessional, discourteous, and dangerous.

I went here early on a Saturday morning recently for a pedi and I must say...I have had better. I did get to walk right in and had a spot right away without an appointment which was nice. My technician was nice enough, but the pedi itself was just a little lacking. I flinched a time or two because they cut my cuticle too closely, and after I was done, I noticed they had filed one of my toes sort of lop-sided. Also, there was color left on several spots on my skin, and I got a darker polish, so not super pleased about that. I wouldn't say I could have done better on my own, but even if it is sort of cheap, no color on my skin, please! I won't be going back, but it was cheap and worth a try.

I started going to Tip Nails based on the reviews on this site. I was looking for a new place to go to - and I was not disappointed. I have acrylics and usually get a French manicure. I have had 4 different technicians and have been happy with them all. Very nice people and clean place.

I needed a quick french manicure for a wedding tonight and they did an awesome job. My nail technician did an perfect job keeping the shape and length of my nails the way I like it. You'd be surprised at how many nail salons have difficulties doing so. My nail technician worked quickly and carefully and he even managed to sneak some funny jokes into the short conversation we had. The decor could use a little updating, but besides this, the place was pretty good. I paid only 15 for a manicure so it was definitely worth it.

Can't go wrong with a $30 mani/pedi! They do a nice job and the place is clean. I always go there! I also always make an appointment cause sometimes they are pretty busy but they do take walk-ins.

Mani's and pedi's are extrememly reasonable. I go here because its cheap, appears clean, (although the decor could use some work), and the people that work there are real friendly and nice. If you want a specific person though, you should make an appt. Tina (who i think is the owner) is always being requested. She's prob the best, i seem to think any of the guys are just as good. Theyre also quick- i seem to prefer that as Im always on the go.
