Went here after reading all the great reviews and was pretty disappointed. My haircut wasn’t remotely what I asked for. My barber seemed in a rush. She was polite enough but seemed more intent on getting it finished rather than cutting my hair how I wanted it. Maybe she was having an off day but still, my haircut was lopsided and looked more like a bowl cut gone wrong than anything. Anyways I hate to leave a bad review, but I was pretty bummed. If I could give zero stars I would. I went in on a referral and was hoping to find a shop closer to me but I will not be going to my original hair dresser. I went in to get a balayage and a hair cut. 5+ inches were taken off. They were kind enough to ask me my price range which I told them originally $80 but said I could push it to $100. I was told it would be $80-$120. After everything was said and done I went to the counter to pay. I was told my total was $151!! But with th...e referral it was $20 off so $131. I later found out that I was charged for services I didn’t receive. I also didn’t think it was appropriate that there was hair everywhere and work stations were kind of a disaster. I had 2 haircuts in 2 weeks at other places. And needed the back fixed just a tad. My color turned out gorgeous. However I was charged more than what was advertised on Facebook. I assume the $20 off new clients was forgotten when I paid? And I didn't think about it til I got home. My hair is around chin length so I can't imagine the cost was from extra dye? But anyway if you want an amazing cut and color, Michelle does great work. It's a bit pricey but you won't leave disappointed with your hair. :) Read Less

I was looking for a new Hairstylist and today I found one! Not only was the shop inviting right when you walk in, but I was greeted warmly not by one but by several of the employees. Gena was who I got to spend time with and it was a delightful time! She made me feel so special! She took time to make sure I was pleased with my haircut. I went here to get a balayage with "virgin" hair, (it previously had no chemicals on it). It took a very long time for the girl that did my hair to apply the lightener. I was being super patient and understanding since I had just started beauty school and I understand that hair is complex. Anyway, she overbooked her schedule so she began to work on someone else while she put my lightener under a hood dryer. Which caused me to lose a lot of hair due to the heat over processing... lightener). Later on she sent me to another girl to get rinsed out. I was super disappointed in the tone of my hair but I assumed she wasn't able to get my hair as light as I wanted, (it was literally bronze and my hair was originally a medium brown, VIRGIN hair). She then curled my hair. I gave her the benefit of the doubt and paid a lot of money and left. Right when I got to my car I tied my hair half up, not proud of it at all. The bottom half of my hair was noticibly lighter than the top. When I got home my mom told me how bad it looked so I felt even more self conscious but the next day I had school (at a beauty school) and all of my friends we telling me that I needed to go back so I had a couple of girls go through my hair to tell me every flaw they could find and I had multiple spots on the left side of my head. My crown area wasn't lightened at all so it was extremely uneven! She missed spots on the tips of my hair (due to under saturation). It was a train wreck and she covered it with curls! I was so upset that she didn't care enough about her work to ask to fix it. When I went back for a refund (not trusting her with my hair again) she did not speak to me. Her manager came over and gave me a hard time for asking for a refund and proceeded to threaten me. She said (in front of other guests that day) that if I try to blow her up on social media, "I will see what happens". Extremely unprofessional and I would advise everyone to avoid this place. READ ME! I love reading google reviews, or any in general. Very blunt, too the point, and vaguely helpful. If you're that person, like I am, who quickly reads reviews before going somewhere to "scope" it out then this is for YOU. I have been getting my hair done by Michelle (owner), for a long time now, I would say 4 or so years. The times where I had to go somewhere else or went somewhere cause it was last minute, were definitely hidden mistakes. I had my hair recently done by Michelle and she never, EVER, disappoints! It is very hard to pull off a perfect Balayage, and she did just that. The staff beside her work well together and the process was very smooth. Such a fantastic experience! I made a hair appt with Joanna and she was amazing! I was indecisive on what I wanted and she was very friendly and offered great suggestions. Never once made me feel pressured! She took her time to make sure I was to achieve the color I was hoping. My hair turned out so beautiful! I have had so many compliments! This salon !! . I've been looking for someone to do my hair on a regular basis ( my old girl moved and I was so sad ). I accident found Michelle at SS salon and made an app. With her, the moment I stepped in I was so pleased, great costumer service and every single stylist in there was super nice !! Very social fun atmosphere and they offer a ton of services !!! My hair turned out perfectly, great prices and I will definitely be going back (6 weeks ). **Update: Michelle does good hair, she really does, but beware of the hidden fees. You "think you're paying around an estimated price" but after all the hidden fees, it far beyond the estimate. The salon is excellent, the stylists are all extremely good at what they do, and it's a very fun environment where everyone is laughing and having a good time. Allison's done my hair every month for the last year and she's never once let me down. If something isn't quite right, she'll fix it on the double. I literally get stopped everywhere I go for somebody to tell me how awesome my hair is. Frankly, I don't understand at all what the deal is with the rude reviews because I've never actually witnessed somebody leave the salon with a bad haircut. But hey, even if YOU don't come back, I'll be back every 4 weeks to keep my hair looking like the shimmering silver beauty that it is ;) I ❤️ my stylists! Read Less
