Ha, the owner, is a perfectionist with a great sense of humor. He works all the time (hours-long shifts about 7 days a week) and his wife works here, too.  This is my go-to mani-pedi place.- gorgeous gel work with tons of hues from which to choose- You can bring in images or sketches of designs you want for your nails and they'll 'nail' it for ya.- clean, tidy; chatty, 2 big-screen TVs, very comfy massage pedi chairs- loyal clientele- walk-ins accepted but best to make an appt.- Staff who work here have a good time; you can tell with the light-hearted banter (some of it in Vietnamese - I will have to learn some conversational phrases 'cause languages are fun) and laughter.- pretty salon space- easy access in a shopping center on Fairview and Eagle- Tip well, as the fees in this industry for manis and pedis have not caught up with inflation and other spa-type services, such as massages, haircuts, facials, etc.- Walk out with fancy hands and feet to express yourself stylishly.- A number of male clients come here, too.  Buff those nails to match those buff bods. We are staying in hotel behind here and saw this. So here we are day 2!  Bf needed a pedi and me a fill. I looked at the pix and saw that Jenna was good but was unable to get her. She is taking no new clientele. So I got some guy .. he was ok. Bf didn't really get let massage either so...oh well. The owner saw I wasn't really happy with my nails at first so he offered Jenna to do a few nail art nails for free. For my first ever Idaho pedicure experience, Nail Tek set the bar high! I called to schedule two pedicures for as soon as possible. Britt helped me out and was able to fit us in within 15 minutes. We arrived early and right away got us in chairs. The salon has a fun and clean look, complete with sparkle-y chandeliers. Britt and Vi were so nice and made us feel welcome. Brittney was very snappy, took 2 hours to do a simple gel set. Nails were crooked and claimed it was "because you're looking at them from a diffrent angle". Place seems OK, but do yourself a favor and avoid her. She needs to work on her customer service and practice her nails more, she's fresh out of cosmetology school. The end product was a 7.5/10. I got my nails done by Tumy! She was super nice and kept telling me to not worry about telling her exactly how I wanted my nails! What a relief! All the way through the shape to the design she kept making sure I was happy with her work. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was because I felt it was a little over priced for a full set of nails which was $50. Plus when your a new client they make you pay for a file and a buffer for a dollar to keep using when you come back? I've never encountered something like that but I guess that's their store policy and nothing that Tumy could have change for me. Also bring cash. I consider myself somewhat of a nail snob and since moving to Idaho Nail Tek has become my go to place. First they are always busy, which is a good sign. The decor is super cute and girly and everyone that works there seems to genuinely enjoy their job. I have had my nails done by Tumi and she is incredible. She does some ridiculous design work and no matter how crazy of an idea I bring her she figures out how to make it work. An appointment is for sure required if you want to get in and out as quick as possible. Oh bring cash and they will give you a punch card which earns you freebies. I was in town visiting family and wanted to get my nails done. They fit me in within 5 minutes of coming in. While I was getting my pedicure, I asked if there was time to do a manicure. They were so accommodating and it that in, too. Super fun atmosphere and relaxing. It has been 3 weeks and neither my gel pedicure or gel manicure has chipped- I've never had a gel manicure last this long. If my nails hadn't grown out a little, you wouldn't be able to tell its been 3 weeks- looks brand new. SO GOOD! Read Less

I had an appointment and was taken in a half hour late. I was scheduled for a pedicure and basic manicure. The manicurist did a rush job on my manicure, cut my nails too short and didn't push the cuticle at all. She was friendly and personable which is why I gave it two stars. The pedicure more of the same. Did not have  a nail buffer to buff my nails for the manicure or the color to do a French manicure. Very disappointing. Didn't live up to the reviews. Read Less

I've been eyeing the reviews on this salon for quite awhile and finally pulled the trigger and went a couple of weeks ago, passing by several other salons to get there. Well, there is a reason this place gets great reviews. Ha, the owner, did my nails. He was so friendly (genuinely friendly) and kept making sure I was happy how things were coming along. He kept insisting if I wasn't happy to tell him and he would do what it took to make sure I was. This salon is very clean and cute. I saw one of the techs sterilizing her equipment which I know is a concern to most of us so that made me feel very comfortable being there. The techs all seemed to get along well and were having a good time. I've been so many other salons, where I've felt uncomfortable and like they were talking about me "behind my back." I didn't feel like that here at all! They are very customer service oriented and it shows. My gel manicure turned out great and two weeks later it's still going strong. I also had a pedicure which Ha started and a newer girl, Li (I forgot the rest of her name :-/   )finished. She did a great job and was also very friendly and customer oriented. The customer service here is amazing! Ha went above and beyond to accommodate for my daughter's wedding and get in everybody at the same time on fairly short notice. My daughter's nails were absolutely stunning and looked great in the pictures. Very creative technicians that give you great ideas for color and designs. Great experience! I called, made apt for 45 minutes later. He greeted me by name. Asked how I wanted my water, did a great pedi. Staff was friendly, kind, difficult to understand but he tried. Massage chair was newer and fantastic!! I will come back. Only bummer I'd say was a $15 up charge for gel toes. $25 pedi is a good price, but $40 for gel pedi is steep! Great customer service!  I had gotten my nails done the day before at another location, I won't name names...but they were a disaster, the acrylic was actually all over my skin and had uneven tips, NOT good. I called Nail-Tek on a recommendation from a coworker, and the owner Ha managed to squeeze me in. He fixed the shape, the messy acrylic, and did a beautiful gel polish over them. Came to this lovely little salon for the first time today. I walked in and was immediately greeted, even though they were pretty busy... and the gentleman who greeted me was working on a ladies toes.(: I noticed the decor, and it was a cute little place. I had an appointment with Torri, and she was really nice. Seemed like she was pretty tired/worn-out. It was nice because they had a flat screen TV to watch as you're getting your nails done. A great way to stay entertained especially when the nail tech or the person getting their nails done doesn't have anything to talk about. Lol. The place was very clean, and all of the nail technicians were taking extra time to make sure that the customers were satisfied with their nails! That's honestly the first time I've ever had someone take their time and didn't make it seem like just another routine. Thanks Torri. Torri also offered, since I have short nail beds, that if a couple of the nails pop off too soon, that she'll redo them for FREE! This will become my regular salon. My sister and I were looking for a nail place for pedicures and this place showed up on Yelp. There's a reason it's so highly rated! We called ahead and they were booked for the day, so we made an appointment for the next day. We were welcomed in and seated almost immediately. He even asked what temperature we wanted the water! The entire time he was checking up on me to make sure the cut was the right length, that the nail file wasn't hurting me, and that the paint was perfect. Both mine and my sisters nail artists were so friendly and comfortable to talk to. My toes are now beautiful and clean! Would definitely recommend this place to a friend. Nail Tek is definitely a Meridian gem!  It was super easy to call and make an appointment. The inside is super adorable and very clean. They have a wide selection of normal polishes to choose from and an AMAZING gel selection. I am completely in awe of how fantastic my experience was at Nail Tek! I brought my mom with me and Nail Tek exceeded my expectations. The staff was extremely friendly and made our experience! We both had pedicures with extreme attention to detail - far more than I have ever experienced! You can tell that they take pride in their work and want customers to be satisfied! I'm impressed, consider me a regular because I won't be trying other places to find something better (because frankly, I don't think there is)! My mom needed a quick manicure too, and they were able to squeeze her in after we arrived! Not only were our pedicures fantastic and well with the price, the staff did everything possible to meet our needs! They also asked if there was anything we needed multiple times which provided me the opportunity to ask for something if I needed it.I noticed some reviews about reused tools and lack of antibacterial, but everything was completely up to my expectations for cleanliness. Both of us had antibacterial drops added to our water before we started which could be difficult to see if I hadn't been paying meticulous attention in a (new to me) salon. Tools were sanitized and I was never worried that my safety was a concern.On a side note, I would make an appointment because this place is fantastic and therefore busy! They are worth your pre-planning and will ensure your nails are just what you are hoping for!***Update: I went back to Nail Tek to have a full-set done today! From Saturday to today, I managed to mess up my toes and Ha repaired them at no charge! My full-set came out beautifully and exactly what I wanted - Classic French tip with some sparkle! My nails took a little while to do, but every "can you shorten this" or "can you smooth this out a little more" was done without making me feel picky or obsessive! Nice friendly staff and got me in on a short notice.I had a pedicure. This is something new to me and I have only been to one person before this. I will say this Miki was very nice and pleasant. I think there could have been more detail and and clip back farther on the sides of the nails. I was kind of freaked out that there was no anti bacterial / sanitizer used in the water. Tools were also reused. I took me a long time to do something like this due to fungal concerns. The place is clean and everyone is friendly but for 25 bucks and no polish they can raise the bar a bit. Called them and asked if they could accommodate walk-ins and they had a few cancellations, could we be there in 15 minutes?Their spa pedicure was so relaxing and they have great color choices plus glitter dusting and designs. Ha was very funny and personable, made us feel right at home with his friendly banter. You could tell that he loves his job. Price was great for a basic pedi so we left good tips. Awful! The place had a very strong smell of chemicals. Went in for a pedicure and she cut my toenails too short [without asking] and jabber her tools under my toenail. Very poor job on the paint... think there was more on my toe than the toenail. Don't waste your money. Much better salons in close proximity to this location. Shocked they are still in business.
