My nails are really short to begin with.. So when i get my nails they usually pop off by the 1st week.. And i had them on for 3 weeks b4 i had to get a fill.. So i highly recommend them. I went in for a perm and showed her pictures of what I wanted. She told me the curls would be smaller and I was ok with that. I also mentioned I have had my hair bleached and dyed not too long ago. She went ahead with the process. My hair turned out like gum when wet. When she dried it, it wasn't curly at all only wavy. My hair was 100% lifeless and heavily damaged. When dry, it was very crunchy and frizzy. My hair looked absolutely horrid. She looked unsure and unsatisfied with her work. I even asked how damaged it was and she said some spots are damaged but it was overall not too bad. I didn't even need to touch my hair to feel the amount of damage. I wish she would've mentioned how damaging the process may be to my hair before proceeding. She oftered a free hair trim which was nice but my hair is far in the stages of damage for just a trim. The salon was nice, clean and overall bright. The lady who did my hair was kind but I think she needs more perm training and should evaluate the customers hair better. Read Less

I went to see Josie after a referral from a friend.  I had just gotten a terrible cut from another salon and she said she could fix it.  She took her time and evened it out and we discussed what I could do to get it to the cut I had wanted in the first place.  I will definitely be back.  I brought my daughter in for a cut later in the day and she did a beautiful job for her as well.I'm so happy I found Josie! ABSOLUTELY HORRID !!! My manicure chipped off of several nails the next day !!! Went back or a repair and told me it would be 15.00 more for jell .... Had an eyebrow wax and wanted to tip 3.00 on 10.00 ... only had two ones so asked for bills for a 20.00 ... She brought me 2 fives and a ten . evidently anted a 50% tip... and she also jokingly but inappropriately reached for my cash when I took it out of my wallet .... RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, Prices changes on a whim .... DO NOT GO HERE ..... I SIMPLY WALKED OUT and came home and did my own nails !!! Read Less

After a third incident I finally gave up going back, first problem began when I went to get my nails done with a "clear" look no polish, the lady decided to do pink and white and charged extra without even asking me if that was ok. After paying extra, two nails broke within two days, I go back to get them fixed and she puts a different color fill. I gave 1 star because 0 was not a choice. 25 years of pedicures and I have NEVER had such a terrible one done! I feel like I was robbed! And, on top of that she was so rude! When I pointed out that she didn't get the dead skin off my feet and that the nails were not cut evenly or were they cut the same on both feet, she ignored me. When I asked if she would warm up the water, she asked, Why? I said it was because I liked it warmer and she let out a huge sigh and turned to the... guy that was working on my mom. I was so shocked with the whole experience. When I got home, I called to ask for the owner or manager and was told they were on vacation and when I asked when they would be back, she said they wouldn't be back for 2 weeks. Then, she asked who it was and what I wanted? I told her I wanted to talk to a manager or the owner and was hung up on. This all happened yesterday morning I just moved to Nampa and am looking for a good local nail place. . .this place won't be It! BTW ,this is my first bad review I have ever written (it was that bad) and i even tried to talk to the manager/owner first. Horrible customer service...dont want to take credit cards, ask you to use the atm and pay cash??? Finally will take c.c if you insist. I am hoping that they arent doing this so they can avoid paying taxes. Did a good job on my nails the first time and told me a fill would be 30.00. Went back a couple weeks later and it was 40.00 for a fill and was done by a different lady and you could see where the fill started and stopped. We have a great staff. The nail tech that is mentioned in a prior review, no longer works at Grand Illusion Salon. I do not like that a client was treated so poorly, I apologize for that. Please try our salon again, I guarantee it will be a much better experience. Read Less

Horrible experience with the nail technician. She's always on her phone and uses foul language. I'm a firm believer in second chances so I tried to reschedule and she was very unprofessional and unorganized with her scheduling. I've never dealt with such bad customer service. Read Less

I got an appointment at 11, it was 11:35 I walked out. I feel like it's disrespectful to do that to people. 10 to 15 delay is the most I will wait. If people are running late,  they get service within their alowed time. Definitely not going back. If they had called me to let me know,  it would have been different. Read Less
