I’m extremely picky when it comes to getting my nails done. Vy, the owner, did them and she did AMAZING. She’s so sweet and takes pride in her salon. Absolutely do not go here no matter what!! I had a gel polish that needed to be taken off before my pedicure. The girl took a huge sharp instrument and went to peel off my gel which should have been filed off like every other place. She literally ripped of a huge chunk of my toenail that bled profusely! She quickly put alcohol on it which made it worse and kept wiping to try to stop the bleeding. I told her to stop touching me. I was done! She continued to try to clean it and move on. I literally just put my shoes on so she couldn't touch me anymore. This place is the absolute worst!!! Read Less

I live in McCall and have been coming here for awhile when I'm in town. The last few times have been horrible. The service has been shotty, and the techs have been very sloppy! My feet soaked for 30 minutes today before anyone helped me!!!! And the tech got polish all over my toes! She ultimately cleaned it off (not very well), but a child could have painted my nails with more accuracy most likely!! Very disappointed. I will not be returning. Read Less

I'm worried about the sanitation or more honestly the lack of sanitation in this place. I came in for a pedicure and the chair I was sat in seemed fine at first but upon closer inspection the drain was completely covered with shaved skin from another client. They failed to unscrew the cap & clean it after the last client--this is a safety REQUIREMENT! I pointed out the skin build-up & the tech immediately apologized, unscrewed the cap, & cleaned the drain then the foot tub. Needless to say I watched the rest of the pedicure and fellow clients pedicures very carefully. The tools appeared to be clean but because I'm use to seeing them come out of a sanitizer (at other establishments) I can't say for certain wether they were clean or not. As for my pedicure the manicurist appeared to do a good job. She did mess up 1 nail & instead of removing the polish she just painted over it...which left ripples. So it looks like I did it myself. :( My friend got a full acrylic set by another tech. Her nails were anything but impressive. The acrylic was way too high, uneven, & the ends were shaped horribly. Christa did my nails! She was really sweet. I thought that it felt really good but I wish the massage and scrub part was a little longer? I felt like I was super in and out... quick. Which some may like, but I like my cuticles to really be cleaned and what not. Service was great, christa was nice! Am I in love? No. Would I come back? Yeah! Love lv nails. I love the atmosphere the way they take care of people and the compassion they have for what they do. I love working with V she does a phenomenal job every time I go in. Any challenge I gave her she always follows through and making it look 10 times better than what I found on Pinterest. From the first day I met them all they remembered my name remember what I do and they care about me as an individual not only as a customer but as a friend. This is the best nail shop I've seen in Boise. I had my nails done there and they were beautiful. Vi did an amazing job! Me and my sister went here because it was the only place we could find that had availability for walk ins and now I know why. I got shellac French tip and it was the worst manicure I have ever received. Looks horrible. Air bubbles and fus under the polish and she filed my nails down way too short it was painful. Then she would try to prevent me from looking at them because she knew she did so bad. Also pretty sure none of their tools were properly sanitized. Very very disappointed I wasted my money on this. I had a horrible experience here, which was doubly disappointing because the nail and massage package was an anniversary present from my husband and our finances at the time were not great so it was going to be a rare treat. As soon as I walked in, an employee asked how I would pay - an extremely tacky practice, but I nonetheless showed them my $75 gift certificate. The gentleman who did my manicure seemed to assume right off the bat that I would leave no tip (for the record, I ALWAYS leave a tip where it's due), because he rushed the manicure to the point that my fingers were bleeding. Yeah, bleeding. My hands hurt so badly when he finished that I was happy to oblige him in NOT leaving a tip. And I skipped the $50 massage altogether when it was already paid for. After the nightmare of a manicure, there was no way I was going to risk getting a massage - and it didn't seem like it would be very relaxing anyway, given that the one massage room had walls that didn't even go all the way up to the ceiling, allowing patrons inside to hear the TV and chatter going on in the main salon.  WORST salon experience I've ever had, and no, I will not ever be going back. First of all, I'm pretty sure this place is called LV nails, and it's in the strip mall by Walmart, next to gamestop. My experience here was subpar compared to other nail salons. I've been here numerous times over the years. Recently, they gave me some ugly acrylics for a sky-high price. When I was there as a kid, with my mom, my technician was discussing hangovers with the person next to me... I have to recommend Foxy Nails on Glenwood over this place! Read Less
