I've been going there for years because the location is convenient to me, however, I'm more than happy to drive across town if it means never going back to this place. I'm giving 1 star for the following reasons: 1. When they knick you with their hand tools, as they have with me and my mom, to the point of making us bleed, they don't clean the tool. They just put them back in the drawers with the other tools. There's no sanitation. Makes me wonder how many people they've made bleed and then used the tools on me. 2. There's no point in making an appointment because they'll never keep it. They'll tell you it's a 10 minute wait and you'll end up waiting for an hour. I get the feeling they just don't want to see money walking out the door. 3. They never charge me the same amount even though I don't do anything differently each time I'm there. They don't charge you the amount posted on the wall. I feel like they just come up with a random amount and that's what you're charged with. There's no consistency in their prices. 4. They have a Caucasian female named Tia that works there, and she is extremely rude. She is more interested in looking around the room and eaves dropping than doing the nails for the client sitting right in front of her. I had an amazing experience here. Staff was extremely nice and Adam did an amazing job. For the price I paid I got much more than you get at other salons. $40 and he massaged my swollen feet, used salt and used this lavendar mask on them. The two times I have been here have been disappointing. The first time I made an appt and got stuck in traffic from the Petsmart plaza to Vip nail plaza and when I walked in I was 5 minutes late and got screamed at infront of the whole store by the owner. The second time I walked in and wasn't greeted until 10 minutes later when they rudely told me they wouldn't have any time for me today and it would be a 35 minute wait if I decided to stay. Not happy at all I'm the kind of women that doesn't have my nails gone but if that rare time I do that I spend my money on I want it perfect the place was run very meanly talking down to the coustomers that pay good money to go there yelling at the coustomers he was vacuuming which I think people go to get there nails done for peace and quiet well at least I do I got hurt a bunch of times on my anc nails and got my toes done let them dry under the dryer 5 times keep asking if they where dry the workers didn't seem to even understand what laungage I was speaking and I left with open toed shoes on three hours went by before I put on flats and my big toes got ruined at happy at all i paid 80 dollars for this shit Read Less

I don't like to leave negative reviews on Yelp, but this was one of the worst nail salon experiences I've ever had. The staff was rushed, didn't know proper techniques (hurt me twice), the place did not look clean, and then they even tried to over charge me and my aunt! When we first walked in at 2:00 with a reservation, we were greeted by an unwelcoming, grumpy woman and no empty waiting chairs. By the time we finally sat down, it was 2:30, as shown on their dingy, gross clocks. As I soaked my nails in the upside down plastic bowl, broken plastic dug into my hand, leaving a mark. My friend waited fifteen minutes for me to finish my nails before she even started with her nails. I had recently burned my finger, and as she removed the nail polish, she managed to get it in my burn, which hurt quite badly. First time and last time for me. I was a walk-in, asked if they had time for a shellac mani was told to sit down and soak off the shellac I had on. I sat for 38 mins with the tips of my fingers in acetone before anyone came over to do my mani. The guy that did my manicure was polite but he used a drill bit to take the shellac off and nicked my cuticles several times resulting in bleeding in several areas. The he pulled out a pair of cuticle nippers from a drawer and was about to use them on me but I told him that I didn't want him using those on me. After he did his mani prep before painting my nails he never had me was my hands. I thought this was very odd and would probably effect the life of the polish. Sure enough I had my mani done on a Wednesday and by Saturday the polish was lifting in several areas on 6 nails. A week later the polish was almost all lifted or gone. Manicure was terrible and a waste of money.  I had a gel manicure done.  Gels usually last about 3 weeks.  This one lasted less than a day.  Full polish peeled off every finger.  That being said, the older gentleman that did my pedi was great.  I won't be going back to Rosy's for a manicure. I'm not really sure why this salon has terrible reviews. I went there and am very pleased with the job they did on both my sister and I. I've been to several salons and I didn't feel it was super gross or out of the ordinary. I have many friends that go to this salon and love it. It's a great price and great service. Read Less

The blond Caucasian lady was extreamly flustered the whole time and repeatedly picked up her phone to text her husband for multiple minutes each time throughout the nail process. I had an appointment for 9:30 and got out at 11:20 due to the lack of attention I got while I was her only customer. My nails are uneven and misshaped. Safe to say I won't return. I give this salon a one star because of the sanitation. My toes turned out fine but all of the pedicure tools did not look clean and were definitely not sanitized. The way they wash off tools is just a used scrubber and some water, this is unacceptable. The price is cheap but I would much rather pay more for a sanitary pedicure. Read Less

Dirty, horrible customer service, and the worst full set I've ever gotten. Food and drinks on the same table I was getting my nails done on. I constantly told the man doing my nails I want rounded tips and they are so square and almost flare out. Not to mention they are so long and thick. I used to love VIP but they've gone downhill recently. The last time I went I received absolutely awful service from the owner Sam. I got an ANC manicure and he was rude and the rushed the whole time. He wasn't paying attention to what he was doing and filed away half my nail which he then charged me to fix, even though it was his fault. He spent more time filing my fingers than my nails because he was too busy yelling over my head to actually look at my hands and watch what he was doing. I came to Rosy Nails 2 weeks ago with my mother for her birthday and we were very please with their services.  We both got pedicures, gel manicure and a full set of nails. The workers were very nice and friendly.  Our pedicures still look good and the gel polish lasted up to 2 weeks just like they said.  The full set of French tips is in need of a fill-in  I would go back there for my fill-in.Their salon were cleaned and the workers were very nice and friendly. The main reason I'm giving Rosy Nails three stars is because of how nice they were. They took my friend and I as walk ins right away and were super sweet the whole time. The color I picked for my nails was beautiful too. Unfortunately like another reviewer said, the salon is not very clean. The lady who did my nails didn't use gloves either while the lady who did my friend's nails did. You could tell the sanitizing solution probably hadn't been changed on the tools in a while too. Their prices are good: $25 for a gel manicure. My friend had a coupon for $2 off and they nicely let us both use it. My nails looked great, unfortunately after a couple of days, they started to chip (at the top and near the cuticle). I've never had that happen with a gel manicure before, unless the cold weather somehow makes you more susceptible to chipping. The next time I'm in Idaho, I would definitely be willing to give them another try for a manicure but I'd probably stay away from pedicures because of the cleanliness factor. Read Less

As other reviewers have mentioned, this salon is not very clean -- nail dust covered many surfaces (chairs, mani table, etc.), and there was general disarray at the station where I was seated (the one closest to the front door). The man who did my gel manicure did a very sloppy job on the polish. A gel "fill" was only $25, which was very reasonable, but really not worth it, since I'll have to have my nails redone as soon as I can get to my normal salon. I won't be back. Read Less

First timer a couple weeks ago and first impression is that it's a dirty salon.  I did not see any of the utensils being sanitized and one of the ladies was emptying out some drawers and putting all sorts of dirty stuff on the manicure tables and didn't wipe the surface before a client was seated.  My pedicure was OK, although the polish seemed to be thinned out.  I won't return. This was my first time there and I got a great manicure/pedicure  at a reasonable price.  The techs were friendly and they had a HUGE selection of polish to choose from, but it wasn't the cleanest place and I noticed gel 'dust' all over the manicure stations, a dirty rug at the door, open-topped jars of goop, jumbled bins of polish, pads, clippers, etc.  which made me wonder how sanitary everything was. I have been going to Janette ever since VIP opened. I get the gel manicure and regular pedicures. I have never had a problem. The gel has actually strengthened my nails. The facility is super clean and the staff are very friendly and professional. I love the fact that they put paraffin on my heals when I get a pedicure.
