My whole life I was blonde and wanted something different. Someone recommended this salon to me. I went to the owner and asked her to do my hair a sandy brown color. (light brown right?) I had a picture to go with it. She said she would do it just a shade darker so once I took a few showers it would lighten up to how I actually wanted it. My hair was black. BLACK. It has been almost a year now and I still have not successfully been able to get a salon to turn my hair back to my original color. My hair is just now the light sandy brown color that I wanted it in the first place. It has cost me countless amount of money to fix this mistake. I am just now writing this review after being told how much money it will take to get my hair back to being healthy since it was so dark when I originally got it done. Had mani-pedi and was disappointed.   No real mani pedi chair -- just a regular chair and portable foot bath.  I was given a bag of polish that had limited selection of colors.  The only color I liked seemed to be old and left my nails looking rough with bubbles.  I'm now getting a new mani padi just days later because mine look so poor.  And it cost more than I pay in a much larger city. They need to get a nice big rack of fresh polish if they are going to satisfy customers. Read Less

I was visiting CDA and badly in need of a cut. Actually what I wanted was a big change, but how scary is that when you are meeting the person who is cutting your hair for the very first time? I asked a gal at Black Sheep if she knew where I could go for a good cut and she recommended her sister Victoria who owns the 5th Ave Salon. I called and she was booked too far out. So Shannon got on the phone and I scheduled an appointment with her for the next day. Long story short, I got a sassy new short haircut and have been getting rave reviews from friends seeing photos on Facebook - even my super fantastic stylist, Tonia, the owner of T's Hair of San Diego that I reviewed last fall. Most important, I like it too! And the price for a new cut and highlights was VERY reasonable. Read Less
