Spa is beautiful, located in DT Boise. My husband got a massage while I got a pedi. My pedi was less than exceptional, considering the steep price. I went to Spa Urbana for the first time last week and absolutely loved it! The location is so relaxing and the staff are great. I had my first chemical peel with Michelle and it was fantastic, she helped me pick the treatment and my skin was glowing when I left. Mya was fabulous as well. I found this spa because my grandma was coming  into town and wanted a massage. I yelped and was immediately impressed by the reviews Spa Urbana had. I set appointments online which was a breeze. It's a bit pricey $95/massage but after receiving the services, it's worth it. My grandma has a Nirvana massage by Christine and said it was absolutely fantastic. After moving from Meridian to the East End of Boise I have struggled to find a good esthetician. I'm so glad I called Spa Urbana. Michelle did an amazing job with her services (I received a brow wax and tint, and eyelash tint). I can't explain how difficult it is to even receive a good shaped eyebrow wax anymore! Luckily she did amazingly. I now have a beauty home on this side of town. I recently visited spa urbana two Sundays ago. The experience was beyond what I ever expected. Dominique at the front desk was very accommodating and helped me out with all the questions i had about the skin care line, which i absolutely LOVE! I got a massage, facial, lash lift and gel manicure and it all was amazing. My nails and lashes have never looked better and I cant wait to keep up these amazing services to pamper myself. This was not a great experience but I hope that if I go back this spa will have made the changes to their service as a result of my complaints. It started when my daughter and I had a mani/pedicure. Our pedicures were great however, the manicure was a disaster. We got gel manicures, they had to redo my daughter's 3 times because the curing wasn't taking. Apparently the polish was bad but they didn't figure this out until the third attempt. We were both scheduled to get lash lifts and tints. Rather then scheduling us to alternate between nails and lashes, they scheduled us both to do lashes at the same time but there was only one provider to do them so we waited an hour each.  At the lash lift, either the glue, the perm solution or the rollers were not working (this was never determined) but neither my lashes nor my daughter's lifted. When we finished I asked to talk with the manager. The front desk girl was resistant evasive refused only after a long period to even give me the managers first name. Her only response was 'what would you like me to take off your bill?' In the end she deducted one lash lift and took 30% off. I asked that the manager call me later. I did hear from the manager and asked her to call back to let me know how she dealt with the chronic incompetence that was pervasive in every service and step of the process, she did and shared that she implemented a policy to handle further complaints in a respectful and helpful manner, she reported that after training involving certification of gel manicures she made some personnel changes and finally, she further trained the scheduling staff to meet the requirements of the company. I wanted to love the place because it's close to my home. My poor experience started off with them calling to change my appointment. From there it went down hill. I never felt comfortable and the services performed were below average (4 diff procedures so I didn't go cheap). I can appreciate a good spa experience and this was very poor. I've been to Spa Urbana 3 times now and each time the staff has been 100% focused on me as a guest. Everyone is super friendly (genuinely- not in a fake or forced way) and kind. On my last visit, Stacy fixed a lash lift disaster for me and Dominique followed up two days later to make sure I was happy. (By the way, the lash lift is AMAZING! For any woman tired of curling her lashes, I highly recommend this treatment!) The spa itself is very lovely: well decorated, soothing, comfortable quiet waiting area, soft relaxing music, large treatment rooms. I called ahead to move my appointment back 15 minutes, the receptionist said that was not a problem. I got there on time and was on the massage table within 5 minutes of walking in. I received a terrible massage. It was like she was going as fast as she could because she didn't want to be there, although she was friendly. It turned out to be a 40 minute massage even though I paid for a 50 minute massage. I brought this up to the receptionist who said it was my fault for being late, and argued with me that I moved my appointment back and was late on top of that. I showed her that I was not late, reminded her that she said nothing of that when I called to move back my appointment at that they were in no way busy that they would have needed to rush (I only saw one other customer leaving as I arrived). I asked for a discount which she did give me. Although it should have been a 20% discount because I did not receive 20% of the time. The techs and massage therapists were standing around talking so I know they were not rushed for time. Oh and it was happy hour which they state on their website as "Happy Hour is Tuesday – Thursday from 1 – 4pm! Book any Pedicure and receive a mini Manicure!". Both my friend and I received pedicures but no one mentioned that special to us. The pedicures were fine, rushed, but fine. Over all, I think all the staff do not want to be working there. It is a shame because it it is a nice facility that could be good if they only treated their customers better. Read Less

I was Beyond impressed and amazed with the services I had done, the  customer service and the ability to make me feel like I was extremely important. This spa is top notch in Boise and only comes with the highest recommendation. The smell when you walk in is instantly calming, with water falls and candles burning in everywhere you automatically unplug and just let loose. The staff were extremely kind and introduced themselves before each service. I highly recommend the massage with Story. She was a delight, knew exactly what she was doing and was very professional. Not being a person who gets a massage done all the time I felt as though I had a good conversation with Story but also had quiet time as well. I also had my nails done by Mykala who is extremely talented and wise beyond her years. The conversation flowed, the tea was always filled and hot and I walked away an extremely happy customer. I should have gotten a clue when I called to make the appointment for a pedicure. The person who answered the phone could not articulate the differences among their 3 pedi services. My husband and I recently moved to the area and wanted to get massages for Valentine's Day. I was super happy that this place could accommodate us on shorter notice (we booked a week out). When we arrived I really loved the downtown location and the overall ambiance. Our massages were amazing, the therapists are very skilled! For us, a big downfall was the lack of services for how much you're paying. Previous spas we've been in allow you to change into robes which is so much more comfortable, and offer more private waiting/relaxation areas. We had to hear the therapists talking about taking shots and other weekend charades which doesn't offend us but doesn't really get you in the relaxation mood. Overall, our massages were great but for the $180 you're paying I would expect a better relaxation area and to not be in street clothes the whole time. Read Less

I've been to Spa Urbana a few times in the last year and I have to say they never disappoint! I just had a baby 6 weeks ago and I was in desperate need of some relief and some relaxation. I had the Alpine Arnica massage with the Wild Lime Scalp treatment and the Mint Foot Therapy. Seriously best choice ever. My massage therapist, Asa, was knowledgeable and was concerned about making this a good experience for me. Amazing little hidden gem in downtown Boise. They were able to get me in same day. Friendly staff and super clean facility. I live in Las Vegas where we have some of the most amazing spas and let me tell you, this place ranks right up there. What a cozy and relaxing spa!!! I was visiting a friend in Boise for a couple of days and wanted to take her somewhere to relax. Yelped led me to this spa and it did not disappoint! Jude, the guy that took my appointment was so nice and accommodating. They didn't have a time slot open to take both my frjend and I but he made some phone calls and made it happen for us :) He greeted us with a warm smile and offered us some hot tea upon arrival. The gal that did my facial was wonderful. It was so relaxing that I dosed off a few times. I believe her name was Krista. They used all organic and natural products and left my skin feeling amazing!!! I took off one star because they didn't have a sauna or steam room.
