When I first moved to Oahu, I tried 4 or 5 different nail salons in the area before I found City Nails. They are wonderful and so we'll priced! Everyone who works there is so friendly. It's a smaller salon, which I like. They don't have tons of people working there, maybe only 6 or 7 who work there regularly, so it's easy to get to know the people working on you. They don't all talk in a foreign language to each other either, which I appreciate. Sandy and Bee are my favorites but all the people who work their are great and very very good at what they do! Yesterday I was turned away from Ami Nails( see that review on their page). I decided to come back to City Nails. And once again they did not fail. I was seen by B and she was not only super friendly, she was also talkative!! I showed her a picture and she then went to town with helping me choose the colors. I will be coming back to her! I don't know why I wanted to try another salon! Prices are reasonable for me. I saved about $25. They are also teen friendly, my daughter did a gel mani and she loves it. She said her nail tech (older man) was very nice and complemented her on her choice! Parking was fine for me. Rail workers park there so be aware. It's clean and bright and very spacious. They have a very helpful color wheel and from what I learned, if you are doing a mani and pedi and you want gel on your mani but regular polish on your pedi, they match it so it is almost identical. Because I didn't know that the finish of the gel and the finish of regular will give off two different colors. I love a salon that educates! The tv plays music videos. And the techs are all nice. Oh and when I told my NAILS Ami nail salon story, they weren't nasty about it but did say that it was uncalled for. This nail shop is really a joke! I got a full set with a pedicure. The nail tech literally did nothing but put tips on my nails no hand care at all. Then they charged me extra to remove the nail polish on my toes even though I was paying for a pedicure. I wish I could have given them 0 stars. Will not be returning back. So after struggling with finding a good nail home here I decided let me give Hawaii one more chance and I found this place, read some reviews did some soul searching and I decided why not! I went there for the first time after all my friends been raving about them. I must say they definitely impressed me. They have a picture book of many different I guess popular nailart that they've done..as well as those fake nails they use as display. They are ALL good at what they do. And they are quick and precise. They have the most adorable nailarts. This is definitely the place to go if you want a place that has more than the usual flower design. Or if you want to go to a place that doesn't just have one favored person in the salon. They all know what they are doing. I am definitely gonna be going back to them!!!! Read Less
