It was my third visit to the nail salon, came in with my daughter for a basic Mani/Pedi as usual and I realized how rushed our pedicures went. Not much cuticle was removed and this surprised me because my first two visits were satisfying. It seems like if you don’t choose the ‘more expensive’ pedicure that you’ll barely get much of a pedicure completed. They received 2 stars and a tip on the manicure I received (thank you Lily) otherwise, the overall service is not what I’m used to, so from this point I’ll be getting my Mani/Pedi’s for the next couple years at another location! So happy to have found this "pearl" of a salon. Linh has done my nails for the past 7 months each time she out does herself!!!!!. I always get compliments on them. Convenient location, everything is clean and nice inside. It's always busy which is a sign that they're great so I suggest making an appointment if you can't wait. Nothing special, won't be back. Got my nails done first then toes. Tom did my gel full set and Lily did my hot stone pedicure. From the very beginning I felt rushed. There's a few air bubbles in my nails and the paint doesn't go all the way up to my cuticle, you can see the unevenness. I didn't mention anything bc it's not a super big deal, just not like the quality you see in the photos on here. Also, is a cuticle cleaning not included in a manicure ? Pretty confused bc I saw one lady getting her cuticles done w regular polish but I'm paying more for acrylic and gel polish but no cuticle cleaning ? Lily was WONDERFUL the entire time for my pedicure. She was literally perfect until the end.... she had be called to do someone else's nails after my pedicure since we were almost done. Understandable. As soon as she allowed the next coat she gave me my receipt to check out. If I would of known I would be rushed out of my seat I would have opted for the $20 gel polish instead of leaving w wet toenails. They got messed up as soon as I got in my car... not entirely their fault but at least give my nails a chance to dry before you ask me to leave. Paid 85$ total. Oh my, I used to love this place but just had a terrible experience. To be fair, I came on a very busy Saturday and was told upfront that it would be 1.5 hour wait. Well, I'm 37 weeks pregnant so time is of the essence to get my pedicure in before I give birth. I decided to wait and went to lunch, got frozen yogurt, and shopped before heading back. The wait ended up being over two hours. Still, I kept a good attitude because I was about to get my nails done, woohoo! That's where the problems started. My nail tech was an older woman, Christine. She had a really hard time finding the gel color I picked for my toes. She was sweet but man it took forever to get anything done! The drain thing stopped working within the five minutes from when I sat down, so she had to go work on fixing that. By the time she actually started my pedicure the water was cold. I'm not one to complain during these things, so I went with the flow. I can deal with a cold water pedi, I'm pregnant and running hot anyway (but it is still a weird sensation when the water isn't hot). My legs were actually cold whenever she pulled them out to work on them. Then comes time for my favorite part - I picked the sugar scrub massage. I glanced at my clock when she started, it said 3:27 pm...and less than two minutes later she stops to switch to the other leg, which she massages for ONE whole minute. Again, I'm 37 weeks pregnant and had been looking forward to that massage! What a let down. Then she moves onto the polish and uses the thinnest layers, by the time she's on the second layer it's barely looking like the swatch. So at this point I speak up because I'm not gonna be in the delivery room looking down at a toe color I'm not happy with! I ask her to do a third coat and fortunately, she agrees.So just after 4:00 pm I'm finally done with my pedicure. Had planned on also getting a mani and my brows done but at this point and with the level of service, I decide to cut my losses. I'm literally wiping off polish on the skin around my toes. It looks like I could've painted them myself - and I'm terrible at painting nails. I have had a lot of good experiences here but I'm just really disappointed with today's visit. I wish I had a better nail tech so I could have gotten my mani done too! Seriously bummed about that. All I wanted was a pedicure to take off the old gel polish that was on my toes for a long time. Rockin' that same deep purple wasn't doin it for me. So on my birthday, which will forever be known as the Hawaii Missile Crisis BS, my friend and I decided to go in for a pedi because you can't live your life with half painted toes anymore. So my friend called in just a half hour before to make sure they'd be able to fit us in, thankfully they were!Side note: I called on a recent Sunday afternoon and they told me they were booked with 6 people on the list. It was about 2pm and they close at 5pm.When we got there, signed in, we picked our colors and sat down. I chose a sparkly dark blue while my friend got her much needed black nail polish. The massage chairs are comfy enough and they've a back handle! Are you ever impressed by those? i am, especially at bars. lol.The pricing for a sugar scrub pedi was about $32-34 which is definitely in my expected price range lol. I don't think, even if I were rich, would spend more than $35 on your average pedi. haha. I was so super satisfied with it because:1. My toes didn't bleed2. The massage was AMAZING3. After a morning of errands & shopping for things I don't need, I decided to treat myself! It was also Valentine's Day & I wanted to have nice nails I walked in, wrote my name on the list & was seen shortly after. Lani was my girl that day (I think that's her name, it's been a while!). She was very sweet & I enjoyed our conversation. I felt like it was a very thorough session & my legs & feet felt so nice after the pedi! I couldn't make up my mind on the color I  wanted other than wanting something gold & sparkly. She chose something for me that was exactly that! For my mani, I chose to do a red (gel) & it turned out so beautifully! It's a nice spot, friendly service, quality work, lots of parking options, Dunkin' Donuts right next door. Love this place Jessie is always so sweet and gentle! I wanted to save my natural nails so she offered to take off the white and we continue to let the acrylic grow out and do a nice mani on top till it was all done and that’s exactly what we did. A few months later and my nails are completely grown out and not damaged at all!!! First time here! & It's definitely not my last visit. Came in on a Saturday (oddly not busy) and got Nikki because I've heard so much great stuff about her! It was meant to be because she had a client cancel and I got in the right time before the rush! Got a full set ombré and sugar scrub pedicure! Nikki did my full set & she is amazing!  Bubbly personality! Everyone there is also nice. She did such a great job. No bubbles, very clean & the shaping is great! Came here as a walk in since I called beforehand and appointments are only made 24 hours prior to the day you want to come in. It was a Sunday so I wasn't surprised that they were busy. I was instantly greeted when I walked in, signed in and was told the wait was over 45 minutes, which wasn't a problem since I know I didn't have an appointment and like I mentioned, it was Sunday. All the seats up front in the waiting area were taken but they have chairs and tables outside so I was able to hang out outside, which was nice since it was a nice day.I signed in at 2:15pm and was called in at 2:50pm. All I needed was a fill/polish change & an eyebrow wax. The guy with glasses did my nails and he was quick, no complaints.The waxing room was taken so my eyebrow wax was done at the end pedicure chair, no problem to me. Lani (I believe) did my eyebrows and I love the result! Just needed a clean up and my eyebrows didn't turn out super skinny which has happened to me a few times. I went in for a fill a little over 3 weeks. And either my nails take forever to grow, or these gel acrylics are THE shit!!! No nail polish peeling, chipping, fading etc...NUTTEN HONEY! Nikki NAILED the shape and length that I asked for. She also tried to get me to just do a nail polish change to try an save me money! I was surprised! I initially asked for her to remove and do a full-set because I wanted a skinnier coffin shape with a bit more length. She said that what she'll do before removing is to make the shape that I want, and see if that's ok. She did an awesome job!I do love how these came out. I have gone to at least 4-5 different nail salons, and the others came out good but I wasn't 100% satisfied. But I was comfortable and confident on telling Nikki what I really wanted. Okayy- so where do I begin?!Did a walk-in and was seen fairly quickly (+1 star) My nail tech was Anna. I opted for the hot stone pedi and gel mani. The pedi wasmediocre at best. Water was room temp, but it was the actual service that was SO bad! All of my nail polish wasn't removed and when it came to filing/buffing nails--I'm not exaggerating when I say that it was literally ONE SWIPE across my toe, ONE. Also the part when they push back your cuticle, it was a VERY sloppy .3 second service. It was SO half ass I cannot even begin to explain how bad it was. The massage, was basically her nails digging into my leg and the hot stone was just her banging a rock against my shin. It was so bad, it really was. My boss decided that he wanted to treat our office to a mani/pedi day and I took charge of looking for a place in the pearl city area since we will be in the vicinity.  I chose this place because of the reviews and pricing.  I called them 2 months ahead of time and spoke to Nikki, who is probably the owner, and probably the only proper english speaking person there.  She was able to accommodate for our party of 12.  I also called 1 week prior just to make sure my reservation was still set.  Then I got a call the night before from Nikki asking if we were still coming.  I was assured that we will all be accommodated and that they will still be taking Walk-Ins so make sure we were all on time.  It was a Saturday, so of course it was crazy busy.  We were all well taken care of.  I originally requested Nikki because of the reviews, but since I was doing gel mani on natural nails..she pushed me towards another tech saying they are all good.  I was irritated by that, and to add to my irritation I got a male tech for 2 min.  While they spoke in their language...he sat there, with my nails untouched.  For about 5 min. (Or what seemed like an eternity)  I sat there wondering when they were gonna start on me.  He was telling me something, and for the life of me, I could not understand what he was saying.  I even had to have him repeat it twice..still not knowing what he was saying.  Eventually I ended up with Cathy.  We decided on a gel fade mani, then I added a sugar scrub pedi.  I liked how my nails turned out and loved being pampered with the sugar scrub pedi.  She put on a mint type mask on my legs while doing my toes and it was very cooling.I will come here again.  But if I request someone, I don't think I should be passed around to different nail techs just because they are not doing "fake nails."   A request is a request, just saying... I love getting my nails done it's so relaxing and I feel rejuvenated afterwards. I heard about this place through a co worker so I wanted to check it out. My friend and I came here on Sunday a little after opening time. They said the wait would be about 45 minutes which we had no problem with so we just sat and waited. BUT we actually only ended up waiting maybe 15-20 mins which was great! My friend and I decided to do the "Sugar package" which runs around $32-33. The massage chair was great and definitely helped take out some of knots in my back. This place also gave us a bottle of water. I've never been to a nail place that did that before so that's some bonus points for them. The lady who did my pedicure did well. The most important part of the pedicure to me is when they remove the callus because I hate having those in my feet and definitely got in there and took them out. This nail place is great ! The only down fall is the wait time ! I called in at 9:30 for a 10 o'clock appointment and the guy to me okay but when I came in there was a wait not just a 15 minute wait try 45 ! I asked to be seen by the owner but that didn't happen. The salon is nice and clean multiple chairs it's a pretty big nail salon ! It doesn't smell like chemicals so I feel safe if I ever needed to bring my baby in with me , everything is well organized ! They also give you a set of tools that they use on you to take home ! How awesome and sanitary right ?! Don't need to worry about them cleaning it cause it's yours :) ! They offer water so that's great ! They have tons of color from regular polish to gel colors ! That's a must now days for a salon to have a variety of choices ! Anyways I ended up getting LANI as my technician and I couldn't have been any happier ! At first I was only going to get a pedicure but o was comfortable enough to get my nails done after a long 7 months and also my eyebrows ! Location is good with a lot of parking. The salon was nice, but it quality sucked. I got my nails done 10 days ago & it's already peeling. I paid more money for gel nails so that they last longer but its already chipped & peeling back on a few of my nails. I'm a bank teller so it's not like I do stuff that would make them peel or something. The lady Tina was LAZY. Myself and two of my friends all started the same time and I was finished with my toes about 5 minutes before everyone else. She didn't even scrub off all the dead skin on my heels. I did a gel mani, a basic pedicure and waxed my eyebrows. I walked in at 11:05 and finished everything by 12:30. That's ridiculous! She rushed through it. She didn't even massage my legs good.One of my friends had to go back because the polish on her finger nails were peeling after a few days! I don't know why people say this place is so good. I didn't care for the service here. The lady who did my pedicure wasn't friendly and she looked like she was getting irritated easily, which I don't know why. I simply asked her if she could massage longer - other places charge $1 per minute so I usually request an extra 10 mins (5 on each calf/foot). I asked if that is something they offer here. She hesitantly said that they do but gave this kind of irritated looked like she didn't want to do it, so she said, 'It's too late now, I'm starting to move on to the next step.'Then she looked irritated when my toe nail smudged, and I showed it to her. It was almost like she didn't want to fix it. I didn't watch her fix it because I was talking with my friend sitting next to me; but when I left, you could see she just painted over it and the smudge impression was still visible. Poor service. Then when my pedicure was done, I was waiting for my friend to finish hers. When I reached for the remote to the massage chair, it wasn't there. I thought, 'Wow! That's pretty rude to remove the remote! It's not like I'm going to be sitting there another hour!' I just gave you my business to you when I could have gone somewhere else. And other places still let you use the massage chair if you're waiting for the person you came with to finish their pedicure or if you're waiting for your own feet to dry!' The only reason I'm giving 2-stars....-It's clean inside (but....other places are nice and clean too)-They give you a small bottle of water (but...Couture Nails in Pearl City does too, and I think a few other places)-They give you the set of pumice and nail files they used on you during your pedicure. It means that you're getting new and sanitary files).To me....when places are pretty much the same as other places, it's their customer service that will make me choose them over the other comparable place every time; but I just wasn't getting that here! I love this nail salon and it seems everyone in the general area seems to as well because it's always busy. Nice location, comfortable atmosphere, cute decor, great technicians, and customer service. The owner and all the technicians are very aware of the current nail trends and can certainly execute it proven through their work. My favorites are Tom (manicure) and Huy (pedicure) - but all the ladies are great. I don't prefer to talk during my visits because this is the only time I can relax; Tom is great to sit silently with, not to mention I'm normally on a tight schedule and he always gets me in and out of there with the quickness. Went as a walk in and was able to be served right away. Even though I got moved in seats all staff were friendly. Had Mina and she was even sweet to my 5 year old daughter who came with me. The last place to I was not too happy with the outcome but for my refill she shaped it perfectly and even took care for my cuticles which were dry. I'm very happy with the outcome of my nails and the price was reasonable. While average in atmosphere, I'll take it for the quality of service. Definitely plan to return.Read Less

Pearl Nails & Salon (formally Super Nails) is fabulous! The new owners have totally redone the space including getting all new furniture and super cozy pedicure chairs. The salon is very clean, very warm and welcoming. I have shellac on my nails and they take the time and effort to remove the shellac gently keeping my nails healthy and strong.
