If your visiting from out of town, and looking to get a fill-in or a full set. I Do Not recommend this establishment. Besides being over priced the service I received here was very rude by the nail technician Anna. I came in for a fill-in and was asking her about her services they provide in regards there nail technique with gel nails like mines....and I asked her was she able to do my nails back like how I had to them...her reply to me was that she quoted me a price for my nails before stating if I want my nails like how I had them before then maybe I should go back to where I had them done originally. Anna seem like she became more frustrated when I was asking her about how she's filling my nails in. Needless to say my experience with Anna and Royal Nails was horrible.This was my first time and last time I get any services from this establishment again the remainder of my time visiting here. The rudeness by nail tech Anna and the changing in pricing when it was time to pay she originally quoted me $35 then I added gel polish additional $20 to cover up the failed attempt to fill-in my nails for a total of $55....I go to the register to pay she said plus tax that comes to $59 and some change...I said really I never heard nor ever paid taxes for nails. Worst experience ever. I was her last customer and I was tired with very sore feet and had decided I wanted a little pampering and relaxation. My feet really needed attention anyway, so I figured today was the day I would go. They put me in a chair right after I walked in. They normally turn on the massage chair but not this time. She got started on my feet, then would walk away and take care of someone else. This happened twice. Didn't even say so or make sure I was comfortable. Second, she dug too deep under my nail, causing me to jerk due to the pain. Then again more pain when cleaning by my cuticle. I almost cried on that one. She assured me that it wasn't bleeding when I looked down. Then when she put a scrub on my legs She starting massaging my leg with the scrub, it was like sand paper ...up and down, up and down. I had to ask her to stop. So she stopped and pushed the the rest she had squeezed on my other leg off into the water and did the other leg with lotion. All the while, for the most part, my feet were not being rotated so as to enjoy the soak! When working on my heels, again painful discomfort. She was hitting the back of my ankles with the rough scrubber...more sandpaper feel in places you should not feel it Again, I had to speak up and tell her she was hurting me. I kept trying to be kind and not complaining but honestly I wanted it over. She was massaging my feet last, trying take me feel good. But honestly, it didn't. With the first foot, she kept squeezing my toes together over and over. Instead of complaining, I asked her to start my other foot. Which wasn't unpleasant, but not great either. She offered to massage longer and I declined...imagine that! I mean, Who does that! In the beginning, when I came in, I could not make up my mine about painting my nails. Then decided yes I will, but when the polish came off, there was really bad fungus under my one big toes. So I changed my mind. Want to guess who did my last pedicure? Yup they did. Did I get the fungus from them...don't know. Anyhow to add insult to injury, I asked for a $5 discount because they didn't have to paint my nails. The response was "it's all the same price, you pay for the experience". I told them then and there that the "experience" was awful. I payed their full price and left. I called back and asked to speak with the manager. She remembered me, I expressed myself and asked for a refund. She said no and what she didn't say was, we are sorry. I won't be back. I came to this nail salon because the prices looked excellent compared to other salons on island and the reviews seemed to be pretty good. However, I would have been 1000x better off picking off my own acrylic nails. I had Tony, he didn't soak my nails or anything before removing them. It was the worst pain my nails have ever gone through. I've never had a nail salon remove my acrylics the way Tony did. I was cringing the entire time. I let him know it hurt and he just said oh it hurts? ... I asked for a basic mani afterwards so my nails still looked nice and could get a rest after having acrylics on. They look like toddler nails.. smudgy, because he rushed, didn't have me sit under the light to dry, he just turned on a mini fan to dry my nails & there are little chunks of acrylic still stuck on them. 2 stars because the prices are decent, but you pay for what you get, right? I go to TRUNG he has done such a great job so far I've gone to him about 3 times now for gel polish on my natural nails and once was acrylic. I ask for Gel nail structure to be put on my natural nails first so that my nails stay extra hard and don't bend and there's no extra cost! Still only pay $35. My third time which was today I asked for dark blue and after her recommended to make it a matte finish because with his experience of this color matte looks great in it so I tried matte for my first time and OMG I love it! He also doesn't leave any mess everything is clean and quality and job done right the first time, which I like.  so again I recommend TRUNG. Read Less

I went on a search for a quick pedi place since moving to Kapolei and figure I'll give them a shot. Their location is ideal being it by target and walking in was quick and easy since I went on a weekday afternoon. I've gone to other nail salons so I'm pretty used to the process and this place didn't either go below or above expectations. They were just average. Color selections for a pedi was pretty low tho. They have a lot of bright to pink and reds but not much of the darks that I usually do for pedi. No grey, dark blue or purple or even a wine red. The closest they had was of course black. Which works out pretty ok I guess for me since it was just a pedi. Pricing is average; I did the hot stone choice which was about $35. Light foot massage at the end. One heads up: they do not let you add tip if you use card. So bring cash at least for that. They didn't even give me a chance to add it onto my total. Read Less

In need of a place to go trying to get in quick due to someone watching my son , my normal nail place was booked so I was recommended to come here ! Got greeted when walking in that was nice , the place didn't have that foul smell of chemicals that was nice ! I sat quickly and was seen by TONY , he was great ! I ended up just getting a gel manicure due to them not being able to razor my callus on my feet it was fine ! The manicure was quick about 25 minutes ! Simple it came with a quick hand massage that was nice ! Always had a good time at this nail salon. I always do that upgrade with the hot stone because it feels amazing maybe a little overpriced but hey I do it once a month I can Splurge a little right. I get my gel manicure which always leaves me feeling amazing I know which technician to use and which technician not to use. believe me it makes a big difference .if I get place with someone I don't like ask if someone else is available that I usually see . Only been here twice since I moved back because it was the more convenient option for me when I needed a pedicure. First time got a regular pedicure around noon on a Saturday and it was busy. Standard pedicure around $25.Then I went last Sunday around 4:00 and when I walked in there were open seats and I decided to try the deluxe pedicure with hot stones ($35). The man I had got was doing a good job with the massage until more clients started coming in. Then he went into overdrive and rushed everything. If you give better service = better tip. Totally disappointed!! Horrible service & horrible French tip manicure!! My daughter came in with her grandma to get her nails done for Banquet, her FIRST time doing so, and what!? They messed her up!! The lines were crooked, the tips were chipped before she left AND they even had white spots of polish left on the sides of her finger towards the base!! Not only did they do an absolute terrible job, they had no remorse whatsoever!! When we picked her up & saw her nails, we complained to them. And what did they do?? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!! They just said "Oh. Sorry." They didn't even offer to refund or even FIX their crap job!! My teenage niece had to paint her nails over because they left it and did a better job that these "certified" nail techs!! Very disappointing! Where do I start!? First,I made a same-day appointment for 12:30pm pedicure appointment. I called just before 11am. When I got there about 12:15pm, I told them my name and that I had made appointment, but I noticed the lady was a little confused when she was looking at the schedule book. When I looked at the schedule book, I didn't see my name anywhere on there. I guess someone, whoever made my appointment, didn't follow through and log it. Well, not a big deal because they took me right in. Pedicure was okay. I had a man doing my pedicure. I decided I wanted a gel manicure too. He sat me at a nail station after my pedicure was done so I thought I would have one of the girls doing my manicure. Well, it was the same guy. He was horrible. I told him I wanted box or square-shaped nails. He said it was too short. Well, La Mour in Pearlridge did it for me; and I was pleased with the turn out and my nails were short when I went there too. Now, onto the actual painting of the nails. It was very sloppy. Where the paint comes up to the cuticle line is very uneven. It looks like I could've done a better job painting it myself. He even wanted to do a second coat on my pinky that had a bristle on it from the nail polish brush, even after I pointed it out to him. He kind of looked at it, gave a dumbfounded look and proceeded to apply a second coat. That's when I told him, 'You don't see that bristle!?' Then he stopped and went on to my other fingers and indicated that he'd come back to it. Also, he'd often miss painting all the way to the side of my nail beds. I could see it was clearly missed. I had to point that out too. At this point I could tell he was getting agitated. When he messed up another finger nail and I showed him, he stopped-go-stopped-go with trying to fix it like he was contemplating just "throwing in the towel" which he made clear when he asked me if I wanted him to remove everything and have someone else start over. Umm...he was already almost done. I didn't have all day to start from the beginning. I told him that I didn't have time for that. So he began to fix the problem but I could tell it was a half-ass effort. Even when he'd fix it, I still wasn't happy with it, but he'd give that attitude like, 'that's the best it's gonna get.' At the tail end he told me to wash my hands. I wanted to see if he was completely done because there was still small spots of nail polish around my fingernails and a pretty big smudge on the top of my hand. When I confirmed that he was done with me, I told him about all the nail polish spots he didn't even bother to clean up. Instead of using polish remover, he used those cuticle clippers. By this point I could tell he was irritated. Well too bad!! Don't do sloppy work! He started working fast and swiftly, and clipped a part of my skin on the side of my nail bed. I said, 'Ouch!' He probably thought I was acting or finding something else to complain about, but sure enough it started to bleed a little. When he took me to the register for me to pay, I showed him how it was bleeding and then he started talking to one of the lady workers. He gave up and left it to her to handle. I wasn't looking for any kind of discount, but I just wanted to show him the lousy work he did. She told me sorry and that accidents happen. When she said that, then it made me a little upset because I started feeling that maybe I shouldn't be paying full price for lousy service that I wasn't happy with, and it was sounding like an apology-but-you-still-have-to-pay-full-price for this, but to my surprise she told me she would give me a discount...okay that's nice, I thought; but it was nothing to get excited about. She followed it up by saying that they could give me $5 off. That's it!? Oh well! I'm not going back there again. I wish I had gotten another nail technician. *I attached a photo. Even though the wait was a bit long (due to holiday) walking around in Target can make it go by faster. I had a pedicure and I was really impressed. I wish I got the man's name that did my toes because he did a really good job. I liked how he massaged my feet as well because usually some people just rush, but he really took his time. I visited Royal Nails once with my mom because she wanted us to get pedis together on Christmas morning. We arrived around 10 & they were PACKED. We had to wait for about a half hour, which actually passed really quickly considering all the little shops around that you can browse through. Once it was our turns, I was a little disappointed we weren't able to be seated next or even near each other but we couldn't be picky because of how busy they were. The actual pedicure was great, I opted for the hot stone pedi & loved it. I had never gotten a pedi before with a hot stone massage & the paraffin dip but I highly recommend it! Prices are cheap; my mom refused to let me pay but I caught a glimpse at the price board. If I remember correctly, the hot stone pedi I opted for (which was the more expensive of the 2 pedi options) was only $35. I didn't get any designs or white tips done, just a solid color. They work quickly & thankfully it looked like they had brought in every employee they had so they kept clients moving. I also liked that they have a built-in drying station with drying lamps for both manis AND pedis. What salon has a dry station for your TOESIES?!? None that I've ever been to before Royal! Depending on who you go to you can get great service and nice nails. Unfortunately the staff is better than Tiffanys nails but the nails are not. I'm amazed at how dirty some of these places can be, and I've had some great times and some not so great times. Good eye brow waxing though. Read Less

You'd be better off doing your own nails. This salon is a mixed bag of very nice, however produces poor manicures, manicurists along with extremely rude, however produces extremely beautiful, manicurists (You're lucky if you attain a rude one). Let's not name names, but I have a friend...let's call her Noelle. She has a prom on Friday and she's gone to this salon knowing it's not the best but hoping she would get lucky with one of the really good, rude ones. However, she didn't. Noelle ordered "Gel Nails" and what she got was a manicure with gelish polish. She was charged $45 for something she could've done herself. And she could've done it without cutting her cuticle. The manicurist, as nice as she was, cut her cuticles so much, she started bleeding. If you step maybe 5 feet away, it looks...okay. Take my advice, don't go. The good reviews probably got lucky with one of the rude, but good, manicurists.Read Less

I went there because it was close to the shopping. I told them what I wanted and that I have an hour to get my nails done. The first woman who did my nails had no clue, she used the grinder to take my old nail polish out, but she ground one of my nails to the quick causing severe pain, then she passed me to a man who did my nails totally wrong. I complaint again, finally a woman who seems to know what she was doing did my nails the way I wanted the white and pink powder nails. unfortunately, the quality is not there. The white powder/pink powder nails usually last at least 3 - 4 weeks. 2.5 weeks later, my left thumb nail was cracked in half and later fell off. That left rough around the edges and I have to filed it down so it won't damage my clothes. Finally, the nail that was filed to the quick split in half. As a result, I will never go back there and will not recommend anyone to go there. Read Less
