1st time here. Called them asked them if they had any opening to fill my eyelashes. They said yes you can come now. Got there in a few minutes. I took my young daughter here today for her first manicure and also got a manicure for myself. Cyndi replied to my appointment request within 20 mins at 9pm last night and was so helpful. We went in today and Ben took care of us both. My daughter was absolutely thrilled with her Pink Sparkly nails and I love mine too. Definitely will be back. Was recommended this place by my friend. So being it's my birthday tomorrow my boyfriend decided to treat me with some much needed me time. He called ahead to get me an appointment at 3. We got there at 2:30 and they were able to take me in earlier. A plus side I was able to add on a acrylic full set with my pedicure. I had Charlie as my tech and he's gonna be one of my go to from now on! He did an excellent job on my full set as well as my pedicure. They use pediliners so your feet don't ever touch the bowl. Also they have a hot stone massage pedicure which I got. Their prices are very reasonable and they break down everything so you know what you are paying for. I am so happy that they opened a store in kapolei. Now they have 2 stores. One here and the other in waimanalo. I used to go to them in waimanalo but when I moved here to kapolei I couldn't find somewhere that does waxing at a decent price and it's so hard too find someone new when you're used to having your things a certain way. I can't wait for this salon to open up! My two favorite nail technicians are finally opening their own salon! I have always gotten my nails done by Cyndi and Thi! They are both really sweet and fun to talk too. They really know how to take care and know how to always make my nails look beautiful. Whatever design you want, you will get. My first time here and I was a walk in as soon as they opened. Not sure if I just got lucky, but I was able to get sat down as soon as I walked in. I got a gel full set (by Vee) & a basic pedi (didn't catch her name). While I started getting my nails done, my nail artist's first appointment came in and had to get sat. I didn't mind at all since I was a walk-in. I got my pedi done in the meantime. Overall, both nail artists I had gotten were very friendly and good at what they do. I thought I found my new place so I do not have to go clear across town to get my nails done. I came one time before and I was please. So I decided to return to this business for the second time. I went in for a pedicure. I was a happy camper until, the technician used a cheese grater on my feet. No, You did not misunderstand me, she did not use a foot grater She use a one sided cheese grater. I was looking at her like she was crazy, I just assumed that she didn't want to do the work with the pumice stone. She did not us anything afterwards to smooth down that disturbed skin, so you can imagine my foot looked a mess within a day or two. I will not be returning. Read Less

Went there on Sunday, they took me in as a walk-in, so that was very convenient. However, I did ask for Vee as she came highly recommended, but a guy did my nails. I'm not sure if it's because I walked in at 6:10pm and they close at 7pm that it looked like a rush job or that's his normal, but I am kinda disappointed. My nails started out mid-way and eventually got so short due to the filing.I'm thankful for the convenience and low prices, but for me personally next time I'm choosing quality over price and convenience.I don't think I'll be returning or recommending them to my friends. I've been a regular here for a few months now & for the price they do an extremely well job. I get only acrylics but each refill is only $18, can't go wrong with that. If you can request someone to do your nails, request Vee!! She's the absolute best at getting the shape & length the way you want it. And if you want designs, she does it the cutest!  If you can request someone to do your pedi, request Ben!! He gives you a good & long massage! The only thing I would be disappointed in at this salon is when another man did my nails, and didn't get the shape the way I wanted it. It's not a big deal at all, because I can always get it reshaped next time, but some people are very nit-picky with that kind of things. So just be careful! Read Less

I usually go to couture nails in pearlcity. But, I'm pregnant & haven't been up to doing anything these days lol. However, I was do for a fill & it's something me & my daughter enjoy doing together.Anyhow, I read mixed reviews & still decided to give it a go. It's close to home, located in Kapolei next to Brick oven. Lots of parking. I did call ahead to see if they were busy. Even for a Sunday they scheduled me in for 12:30. Nice! I arrived to my appointment, I had to wait a little while which wasn't too bad. My daughter was taken first. She had her nails painted & a little 3D bow. Cutesy for a 9yr old. Later it was my turn. I didn't get the mans name who helped me, but I did like his work. I had stiletto nails prior that were outgrown & yuck! He cut them down & gave me coffin nails, which I love! I chose an OPI nude color. Wish I got the name. I really love the color! I didn't get a pedicure as I usually do. But since I did have a good experience, I will be back again! Read Less

I have had consistency issues with a lot of the nail salons in Kapolei. I have been here twice and I've been impressed both times. Unlike the other nail salons, the nail technicians actually take their time to make sure you are getting a great service.My mom and I got deluxe pedicures which came with calluses removal, some type of leg mask, a sugar scrub, paraffin, and everything else in a normal pedicure. This was $42 I believe. It was totally worth it to me!I had Nancy and she was friendly and really took her time on me. The leg and foot massage she gave me was excellent!My mom had Lina and she also enjoyed her. She engaged in friendly conversation with my mom and she also gave a good leg massage.Another plus for me was that it was so clean!! All the tools being used were disinfected and the entire place is kept very clean and tidy. Read Less

The struggle MAY be over. Since moving to west Oahu I've been on the search for a decent nail place  to get my Flintstone feet worked on. Let me tell you, it's been a struh-gggllee!  Call me picky or too OCD but it matters to me that the place is clean, foot baths cleaned and disinfected after every use, filters changed, cutting utensils sterilized and proper ventilation. I stumbled upon K Nails Salons after a friend's review of K Nails popped up on my feed. This girl is just as OCD and picky as I am (I've read her reviews). Long story short, I came here as a walk in and they were able to take me immediately. Parking was not an issue even though they share the same lot as Chun Wah Kam,  a cupcake, pizza and dialysis business. The salon is across the street from Kapolei Theater and opposite corner of University of Pheonix. I saw nail technicians disinfecting each foot bath with a clorox spray, wiping it down and rinsing it down and cleaning out the drain. Loved it!! This place is fairly new - perhaps less than a year old and their chairs are still comfy and not completely worn and torn. I was fortunate enough to get Mai as my nail technician. She is a sweet, elderly woman who was extremely meticulous cleaning my nails and gave the best foot massage! She introduced herself (no name tag) and conversed with me the entire time. Sweet and competent technician! I left very happy!! My nails were so clean and I was satisfied with that as well as the application of polish. I can't stand it when my nails are not cleaned to my liking and they proceed with the polish. She basically asked me if it was okay before each step. Loved that! Sometimes at other salons, I get the feeling that if you get too picky with your request(s) they purposely mess you up and plead the foreign language card. Call it paranoia or just plain too picky but it matters to me that things are done right the first time around. I obsess over my pedicure and not so much over a manicure since years of working in the medical field has banned me from using nail polish on my fingers. So if I'm a little OCD about my pedicure, it's because foot care matters to me.Overall, I left there extremely satisfied and I think my struggle to find a salon may be over. My polish looks great (not smudged, poorly applied, on the nail and no where else, and nails all cut evenly) and my cuticles trimmed without pain and injury to soft tissue (you know what it's like when your technician "bites/nips" off more than just the cuticle).
