I've come to Salon Cherie a few times for their monthly special gel manicures. For $55 before tax and tip, it's not a bad deal, especially if you like the designs for the month. Also, if you come regularly, like once a month, the free soak offs make it worth it. Other places will charge $5-$10 just to remove the gel polish. I have another favorite salon for regular, one color manis. But I like salon Cherie when I'm feeling fancy. The designs range from simple to very complex and glittery. It is a Japanese nail salon after all. I get many compliments about my nails after I go to salon Cherie, but being a little OCD, I've noticed some flaws. The manicurists are so cute and friendly, which beats going to places like smileys for sure. It's a small shop, but well kept and clean. I've always found street parking across the street in the residential area, but there is a parking lot if you want to pay for parking. The first time I came, it was a little hard to find. From kalakaua, if you take the escalator up to the 3rd floor, it's right there. Read Less
