I had a appointment with Maddie but she left for the day. Therefore Cinderella did my brows, before she started I told her I did not want them thin needless to say she made them too thin. Maddy is absolutely amazing! I've gotten my eyebrows done by her numerous times and she never disappoints. I called to make reservations and each time they were able to accommodate me. One time I was even almost 30min late to my appt. I booked for 6:30pm and got their close to 7pm because of work and traffic. Maddy was actually leaving to go home when I parked in the lot. She had called me while I was driving but i wan't able to answer. Although she was done for the day, Maddy willingly went back in to do my eyebrows! She is great and so sweet! I came over from Big Island for work this week, and didn't get a chance to do my nails (or eyebrows!) before coming over. I actually made my appointment before the salon was scheduled to open on Yelp, they responded really fast! The receptionist was lovely and so friendly. They have these big comfy couches to wait on which makes it such a relaxing experience if you arrive early. The salon is nicely decorated and has all the colors you could ever want. Cinderella did my acrylic nails and did a fantastic job! Usually when I get my nails done I have to keep telling the  nail artist "shorter, shorter" but Cinderella knew exactly what I needed, she called it "active length", which is so accurate because my job is very active I can't have long nails. She is a beautiful person with a heart of gold. She completely made my day. She may ask you if you want to hear bible verses, or scriptures while she's doing your nails, if you don't just let her know, she truly won't mind if you tell her you're not into it! I came in for a simple pedicure before I give birth and it was great! I had a walk in appointment and was seated almost instantly since I came at a good time. I went with the spa package and enjoyed whatever scrubs and scents they used. Pave was my nail tech and she was very sweet! I liked that the technicians focus on their clients instead of talking to each other like how other salons are. The atmosphere was relaxing, music wasn't too loud and the soft lighting was nice. There isn't much parking in front of the salon, but I'm guessing you could park at the mall. Definitely coming back here, with an appointment next time. Read Less

I am a regular at a different nail salon however they had no appointments available so I made a last minute decision to come here as they had a few openings. Very convenient as they are right downstairs from the Ala Moana Building where I work. The nail technician that serviced me was quiet yet friendly and pleasant. She was quick and did a great job! I was very pleased. She performed all the steps needed for a full service gel manicure, I know this because I went to nail academy. Loved how quick and good she was so I asked ro schedule my next appointment with her. Unfortunately she finishes when I am available after work so that was a bummer. This review is for a mani/pedi for a man.   I get mani/pedi spa treatments frequently.  And by far this is one of the worse ones I've ever got.  She cut two of my toes doing my cuticles, and I don't think she even realized it.  Also, despite paying extra for a spa pedi treatment,  there was no massage or extra applications/scrubs.   The technician probably assumed that since I was a man that I wouldn't know the difference.The callous remover treatment that she attempted as well was pretty terrible, as when I got home and my wife saw my feet, she literally asked me why I didnt get a callous remover treatment.  Spending $70/80 for a mani/pedi here is definitely not worth it. Also, there was a very catty co-worker who was upset with another worker there. She was clearly heard and seen talking smack about her other coworker in Filipino.  Hopefully all the techs here aren't as terrible as the one I had and witnessed that day.   The only reason they have 2 stars instead of one is because their massage chairs are pretty great. We made an couples appointment for my wife and I to help celebrate my wife's birthday.  Everything was awesome.   We made the appointment for the same day using Yelp Messaging.  The owner responded right away and gave us choices for appointments that worked with our scheduled.   They were ready for us when we arrived and the front desk staff were kind and professional.   They seated us together so we could hold hands and we both had one of the best pedicures we've ever had.  Very gentle and invigorating massage. Our nails looked great and our feet and ankles felt wonderful. Fellas, if you've never had a pedicure before, you should really consider it.   It's a great way to be pampered and it's a really nice thing to do together with your lady. This is a hidden gem! I called on my real birthday to see if anyone could squeeze me in, and Lily's was the only one who said yes!I got my nails done by Pave and she is good.We added my acrylic nail tips and she asked about the shape that I want. She did it quickly but accurately and all my nails are the same length and shape. We did French tips with color and then I were back for a second session to add on my rhinestones. I had an unexpected day off and decided to sneak over in the off chance I could get a walk in.  J was super lucky and was able to walk in AND get Cinderella!  Talk about a jackpot.  I got the Sugar deluxe pedicure for $55.  She was super thorough; awesome massage and she was super sweet.  I would say though in the future I won't chance a walk in.  After I sat down, there was a steady stream of people coming in for walk-ins and had to be turned away due to appointments. The first time I came here it was because of Groupon for a basic pedi. It was mediocre but I'm not here to talk about that.Today's the second time I've been here. I had Cinderella and she was the sweetest and made my appointment super enjoyable.  I highly recommend her.  I removed acrylics from another salon because I wanted to finally lighten up my nails and make them healthier again slowly.  My removal was $11.  At first she tried to take off my acrylics with a nail trimmer and I was getting nervous because I was afraid it would break my natural nails. I think she could sense it so she asked if I wanted a soak and I said yes pleaaaase.  She said that using the nail trimmer is a new and faster way to remove them but it's not for everyone.  I got a gel mani because I know once you remove acrylics your nails look pretty nasty. The gel mani was $37.  I wanted something simple but with a little pop so I got decals instead of jewels. She said since I was removing acrylics my nails was be very delicate so decals would stay longer than jewels.  I really do love the results and plan on coming again!!! :) Photos from different angles! I've been coming to Lily's consistently for about three years now and I am a loyal customer. I think Lily's has great staff and if you read the other reviews everybody who goes will end up having a favorite worker. Ive gotten a pedicure here and the best part of it all was the massages and foot scrubbing (to die for). My main reason for going is to get my eyebrows threaded by Maddy. She is the BEST. She really shapes my brows everytime I go to her (which is once every one or two months). My husband and I are regular customers and always come here to relax and pamper ourselves after a long day at work or just because.  Husband  always gets his deluxe mani of course. I usually get the combo which includes classic mani and pedi. Majority of the staff here are so friendly and nice. I usually schedule myself to see Sun & Pave (Mani&Pedi) & Maddy (Eyebrows). I am doing my review based on my  experience when  I had my mani-pedi bridal shower which was on September 2017. Months before the big day I've mentioned to the same technician that I always see that I am planning on having a mani-pedi bridal shower and that i requested her for that day. She said yes and it wouldn't be a problem. Months pass by i called the front desk and again mentioned to them about my mani-pedi bridal shower and ask if that specific person is available and she said no, so I requested someone else.The day of my mani-pedi bridal shower and I saw both of them there both ready to help me. I felt a little akward, confused, and shocked on what was going on because I was told two different stories. I was told from the beginning that specific technician was not available but when I ask her again about it the day of my shower she said she was not told and was not aware of my request. It was a nightmare. I felt really bad but they both was really nice and said not to worry about it. Long story short they both apologies and continued on with my mani-pedi. Along with my friends and family there were a total of 7 of us. 4 out of 3  pedicures turned out to be perfect including myself.My mom, grandma, and one of my bridemaids pedicures were not the cleanest that i was use to seeing. One of my bridemaids pointed it out to me after her pedicure was done. I've mentioned it yo the  the owner that it looked a little a rush  and not what I had expected it to be. She apologize of what happened and was nice enough to fix some of the work that a previous technician did. I was very impressed how she took care of the situation, she had fixed it right away.On the other hand my mom and grandma pedicure was also little messy and was not the cleanest either. They did not tell me until we had left already. If i knew I would've mentioned it but it was too late.I have to say coming here numerouse times (2017), i notice that the front desk is disorganized and  messed up my appointments/times. I had encountered wrong times on my appointments and  different technician when i specifially requested a certain one. i would expect the receptionist  to get it down since my husband and I come here ALL the time.I wish to see an improvement at the front desk Please be more organized and a bit more friendlier. I started coming to Lily's Nail Spa & Hair Salon because I was starting to feel really unhappy with the customer service at Gradient Nail, across from Sorabol, off Keeaumoku Street. At the time, I was calling everywhere for a gel color change for my hands and feet but a lot of places were too booked up for a walk-in/last minute appointment. Luckily Lily's Nails had an opening and since then I've been going to this spot on the regular! Before I get into my review, parking can be a small issue. They have a lot right out front their shop but there aren't many stalls. I haven't had to park at Ala Moana and walk over. But I'm sure you can totally do that (at your own risk). Or there's always Uber as an option if you don't want to chance not being able to find parking there. I usually get a gel color change for both my hands and feet. I've been seeing Jean, who I really enjoy. She provides wonderful service, she's efficient, and fun to talk to. Although they don't have as many color selections as other salons, some times less can be a little better only because it's less overwhelming and I'm the type of person who tends to only stay with certain colors that work with my skin type and the outfits I wear. Compared to other nail salons, I noticed that the employees here at Lily's Nails are always so nice and friendly; they don't try to rush you out so they can get to their next appointment and they try to have a friendly conversation with you during your service. Haha yeah so make fun of the guy writing a review of a nail spa. So this was the fourth time I've gotten a pedicure and despite the stereotype, I have to say that it's good stuff. Normally I don't like when people cut my nails but they did such a good job here you barely notice. On top of that they massaged my feet and legs while the chair I sat on gave me a back massage. I also got my legs and feet exfoliated and they put some of that hot wax on my feet. What a pampered feeling, I walked out with everything feeling soft and magical.Lily's is located in the former DRIFT Surf location next to the Bankoh Ala Moana Building. There's a few parking stalls in the lot but if you're not the lucky just park at the mall next door and cross the street.The place itself is pretty spacious and you get a comfortable and peaceful feeling here. I think it's because they layout separates different operating areas of the salon. They also have a big screen TV that you can checkout while you're getting yourself pampered. Well, I can actually say this place isn't so bad! I was in need of a mani/pedi for a long time so one day after work I decided to treat myself. I did call earlier about 2:00pm and they were able to take me in for a 5:30 appointment.I was greeted by the receptionists (always a good sign when they're friendly!) and I probably only waited less than 5 minutes before I got started.Now, at first she wasn't the most friendliest nail tech. She was fairly quiet until midway of doing my nails. She started to conversate more and I appreciated that. Even though she didn't talk much, I didn't mind during that time because some peace and quiet after a long day of work is much needed. I believe her name is Lyn, and I swear she has a gentle touch with doing my pedi. I didn't even feel a think when she was cleaning it. I did also get a foot spa treatment additionally for $36 and it wasn't too bad. I might opt to just do a regular now that I've tried it. But hey, why not! It's been awhile! Also, I did get some details for my mani. I do love the design, however, it was already starting to peel away. So sad! It hasn't even been 3 days yet. I'm still deciding if I should go back, but I honestly don't have the time.Anyways, service was great and I'd recommend! I did spend over $100 so that's probably the only "eeek!" experience I had. Came to Lily's nail spa & hair salon because I received a gift certificate. I decided to get the full treatment and went with the gel mani and classic pedi combo for $56. I had Sun as my manicurist. Highly recommend her! She has done this for a long time so she knows what she's doing. I came in really indecisive on what nail color to do and she was really patient and helpful on providing suggestions. Since this was my first time, she always took the time to explain each step she was doing. For the actual manicure and pedicure, you receive complete cuticle care and foot treatment. And the chairs are massage ones which made it that much better. Everyone at the salon seems very professional yet casual which is what you would want from a business that offers such treatments. Parking: They have a small lot for about 6-7 cars right in front. However, if you can't find, you can always park at ala moana which is right across the street. Ambience: Casual and relaxed. 1st time at this place and will probably be my last time. I needed to take off my gel nails and 1st time I've had a nail tech practically rip them off of my natural nails. I've had other techs soak or drill buff them off but never rip them off. It was super painful. She didn't bother to ask what length I wanted. With that being said my nails are really uneven and still tender to the touch. I also did a pedicure all went well till she actually forgot about me and i quote "was eating my lunch already." I can't stop looking at my nails, Cinderella did a great job. The salon however did not look like the pictures! It was dark, felt cramped, poor air circulation means it smelled like nail polish and the customers and other technicians inside were SO loud I found it hard to relax. Had a polish change done today as a walk-in customer. Place is good for getting something quick done. You get what you pay for. Not good if you are meticulous; nail tech did not pay close attention to detail. Place is a little chaotic & not very sanitary. After the tech finished painting my nails I witnessed her using the same cuticle pusher on the next customer without any sanitation. She wiped the tool on a towel before using it on the next client. Proper sanitation cleansers were not visible. The nail techs are really nice though!Read Less
