Came here on a whim after getting a massage down the street ([insert plug] Serenity massage) and I was not disappointed at all! The staff is really friendly. I treated myself to their Deluxe Pedicure and man-oh-man was it worth it! The scrub, the wax paraffin AND a hot stone massage?! Okay! The other customers were clearly regulars and I could see why. I needed to get my nails done for a special occasion- I walked in and they took me right away ! Service was good, place was clean, and the lady doing my nails was very gentle ! Loved it !  They had an ample color selection.  The colors were organized and neatly displayed.  I opted for the gel manicure in hopes of growing my nails (stubs) a little longer.  This is only day 2 but so far so good ... no chips ! This is a very no frills nail salon on the corner of Ward and Halekauwila, across from Ross Dress For Less. Despite the lack of any luxuries, I am fairly satisfied with the service (although it could be slightly improved) and my pedicure. I came in around 4:00 pm on a weekday, and it was empty. More people start coming in after work hours close to 5:00 pm. There were three people working, two women and one man. The man did my pedicure. I got a deluxe pedicure for $35, which comes with a massage with hot rocks, heel treatment using pedi salt, mask, and paraffin wax. They do the pedicures in massage chairs, and that added some relaxation during the pedicure. For $35, it's not a bad deal at all if you just want a pedicure and don't care about any extra amenities. We've followed the family that runs Emma's Nail from the time they were at their shop in Waimanalo.  My mom and sisters all enjoy getting our nails done here because the technicians are all efficient yet take the appropriate time to do job well done.  In addition to doing nails they also provide waxing services.  I had my eyebrows done here previously and LOVED the results!  I've never really received complements on my brows before but after getting them done here, a lot of people noticed and complemented my brows.  It's a bonus that they're conveniently located in the Ward area.  I just hope with all this construction going around that Emma's nails will continue to be a fixture in this area. Ok so I have never been here and wanted to try it out for my fills since it's near my gym. All was good until the gel polish. I noticed she didnt quite paint it to the edges, but I let that go. Then after I was done, I noticed there were scratches at the tip and some kind of lint stuck on there and she tried fixing that. But then goes to blame it on me and my clothes since I had gone to the bathroom, which I did but for a gel polish, shouldn't it be dried anyway? Obviously it wasn't. She tried fixing it again, but only to make it look clumpy and the lint was still there and made it known she was getting annoyed. But hey, I paid for the service, am I wrong for wanting it done well? I ended up just walking out frustrated with a couple of clumpy nails...I definitely will not be back. Read Less

The ladies here are very sweet and accommodating, especially the owner Thuy. They do a fade gel mani which lasts me almost a month (I'm very tough on my hands) and a pedi that includes a salt soak, leg scrub and massage, and a hot towel rub! I asked for a Gel French Manicure. The woman that did my nails messed up so bad that she had to scrape all the gel off my nails, leaving my nails looking scraped up. I would have given no stars but the deluxe pedicure was fine. I was pissed and I still am pissed every time I look at my nails.Read Less

Nice for a quick last minute need for a pedi. Being from Kauai, it was difficult to find. Would be helpful if they had a sign on their business. It's downstairs on the side next to the dog groomers. Great chairs and my technician gave me the best foot massage I've had in a little salon. Read Less

It's been almost 3 weeks and my nails look well put together. I box, lift heavy weights on a daily basis and type on my work keyboard for 8 straight hours a day.  The ladies took their sweet time to do my nails and refill the mess the other nail place did. Nails service ok if you get the right person. I got the wrong person today. I added a foot massage and she spent 20 minutes stroking my leg and calf. Hard I might add. 2 minutes strokes on top of my foot. Definitely not s foot massage. Arrrgh Read Less

I was going to give this place a 4 star for friendliness and convenience. But it went down because 1) they made me walk  from the pedicure chair to the fan barefoot. (They took my slipper and I thought to help me put it on. But no they brought it to the fan and made me walk barefoot on their shop floor). 2) I tried to put on my slipper but the worker offer to help. As she did so she brushed up on my nail polish on both toes and scaped off some nail polish.  Instead of offering to repaint.  The other worker scraped of the damage part with her hand and just repaint the damage part but of course the polish won't be level.  So I had to be the bad person and ask them to remove the entire nail polish on the big toes.  Terrible quality. The regular nail salon I go to did not have any openings available with my regular pedicure nail technicians today so I checked Yelp and found Emma's Nails near Ward. I called and said they could take me in 10 minutes. Yelp review said they had only two parking spots designated for their business establishment. I drove there from NBC, but I could not find parking on their lot so I turned around and headed on Ward. I got lucky and found street parking just around the corner from Emma's Nails. $35 for deluxe with mask, hot rocks, paraffin wax, and longer massage . . . the price was right! My pedicure nail technician (Ryan) was very good. The service was great, but parking is a hit or miss. I give this place a 5 star for service, but a 4 star overall because of the parking situation. This place was recommended by my friend.  She thinks it's close to my house and the place is affordable so I should give it a try.  I don't need fancy spa like environment to do my nails.  I need the place clean and the staff is friendly.  This place meets my criteria.  Although language is a barrier at times, the staff is friendly and smiles all the time.  They do what they can do to accommodate the needs.  The first few times I went there, I made my appointments, but I found that they welcome walk-ins and I had no wait time the last time I dropped by on a Sunday afternoon.  If you need a mani + pedi, 2 people will work on you on the same time, it speeds things up and I feel like a queen.  It seems like a family run business so they work very well as a team.  I will definitely go back to the place! Yesterday I really wanted to get a pedicure and I was in the Ward area. I turned to Yelp, and I forgot that I bookmarked this location a while back. I called around 5:45 pm (they close at 7) and asked if they could take in two pedicures (for my boyfriend and I), the woman on the phone was nice and said that they could take us in about 15 minutes. We head over, the location is easy to find but only has two available parking stalls for the salon so possibly parking at Ward Center and walking over would be a better option. We were seated very quickly, and I told them to give us the deluxe pedicure. The deluxe pedicure ($35) came with a soak, nail trim and buff, foot scrubbing, a menthol leg mud mask thing, leg scrub, paraffin wax, hot stone massage, hot towel, and lotion and massage to finish. It was relaxing and nice. Though I personally felt like the massaging was a bit rushed because we only had one hour until closing time which shouldn't hinder the service that you receive. My bill came out to $70-something, I tipped $20, so $10 for each worker. Overall, it was relaxing and great but maybe I would try this place out again earlier in the day to see if its not so rushed and actually worth  my time going there. ONLY $50 for a mani/pedi & eyebrow wax!!! That's craziness! This place is small but clean! Two ladies worked on me at the same time! Next time I'll get a mani & deluxe pedi! I enjoyed it, I really need a "me day" and this worked out perfectly. I called the day before for an appointment at 10am on a Thursday. There was only one other lady that was there at the time I arrived. I came in about 10 mins before my appointment & was helped right away. I had a good leg massage from the lady doing my toes, I don't really like hard pressure but she did it just right! And the lady doing my fingernails was so gentle I also fell asleep. What I really like was that they didn't push getting gel nails or nail art... I'm a very simple person and I'm also a person who says yes to everything so that was really nice that they weren't so pushy like a lot of other salons. They do talk to each other in their native tongue but not once did I feel like it was rude in anyway. There's two parking spots in front of the salon. I actually parked by were sports Authority used to be and walked over because I wanted my car to be in the shade. This is a nice little hole in the wall place. They have 2 reserved parking spots in front of the shop. Prices are quite reasonable and the services a good. I got an eyebrow wax and a basic manicure. I left happy but not overwhelmingly impressed. They have a moderate amount of polish colors and the place looks clean. I gave three stars because the place is a little rough around the edges.  Some of the signs are clearly outdated and faded and in the wax room there's a tile missing out of the ceiling. I came here about 2 years ago. I liked it so much,  I sent my mom. She came a handful of times & even brought her husband. They loved the service.  I can here again this morning. Parking was available right in front & there was no line. They do a really fine job & takes times into your pedicure. She looked into my big toe situation  (i always get ingrown on my big toe). She assessed the situation & involved me on whether I wanted it cut down or not. She didn't just start cutting away workout my consent.  She told me sometimes it grows back worse if it's cut down.
