A pedicure for $20? I would not have believed it, but its true! Nowhere else in Honolulu have I found a pedicure for that price. This is not just take off your old polish and slap on some new polish. They apply lotion after potion and more lotion and massaging, etc. There are other pedicure options that are more expensive. And they also have full service manicures as well. They accept credit cards for payment however the tip is cash only. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the attendant didn't do as good a job on my left foot as she did on my right foot and I didn't notice it until I got home. At times my attendance seemed bored and was staring out the window and that could be the reason why my left foot is not as beautiful as my right foot LOL. This was my second time there and I will definitely go back for a third time and a fourth time, it's nice treat. Creative Nails is in a small shopping center and parking is very limited. Read Less

I'm very surprised that Creative Nails has only a 3-star rating on Yelp because my experience was perfection! Two weeks ago I got my nails done at another salon, but on the Big Island. I've been getting gel nails for about 5 years (nails done for 18 years) so I've had a fair number of mostly good and the occasional bad to critique. Unfortunately, my experience at the Big Island salon was bad. Within a week the gel began to naturally peel off. I got annoyed by how they all began peeling and was able to easily pull off the rest. A couple months before that I had another bad experience while traveling to Playa del Carmen in Mexico. So I was relieved by the attention given when I got my gel-mani/spa-pedi package for an amazing $60. Let's start with the spa pedi. I spend a lot of time on a boat and I walk barefoot all the time. It's hard to properly remove calluses with those rocks and pedi scrubs because the store bought brands are never that great. Giiirrrrrl, she worked my feet. I was amazed and slightly embarrassed by how much dead skin she removed. Then she soaked my feet in a callus softener product and did it again. FINALLY!! Someone could do it right. But it didn't stop there... I got an awesome foot massage...and then she paraffins waxed my feet afterward. My feet have not felt this great since the ice age. Now let's get to the hands. I asked for her to do a partial design (Moroccan themed) and she was able to accomplish the look I was going for. Again, she didn't rush perfection. She used multiple layers - I almost want to say I counted 6 including the base layer and top coat. We dried the polish under the UV lights about the same amount of time - and now almost two weeks later I have no chips and it's still perfect (sans a tiny part of my nails that are naturally growing.) The design held up, no peels, and did I mention, NO CHIPS...the exact way gel was intended for. I highly recommend this place. I'd book an appointment though. Read Less

Rush me, Rough me Oh hurt me .  AhhhShe fell asleep while massaging my shins. She zoned out watching TV while massaging .She went slow motion massage while she chat in another language and giggle with coworker.  She froze while massaging shins to chat and stare at the toes of the customer in the chair beside us while chatting up the coworker.  She only massage shins not foot or calf.  NOW Sudden rush,  "ok get up go there" she said while waving my shoes in my face.   I was not going to rush because I  my phone was on my lap and i didn't want to drop it in the water.   She demand two more times.  I was sleepy from sitting there.  Put me in the drying table and then sit behind me,  giggle and chat with coworkers in another language. Do not go here!  After my acai bowl, I decided to get a spur of the moment pedicure.  Bad choice!  The lady that worked on me did not speak any English, was very rough and hurt me several times.  She filed so hard that I had to pull back several times.  She also did a very sloppy job of scrubbing.  Then when she started on my cuticles, she cut me bad!  It start bleeding bad, so she got the same powder that I put on my dogs nails to stop the bleeding.  I refused it and then she tried to put something else non-sanitary on it.  I got up and left before she caused more damage and give me an infection.  Her tools did not look clean.  See my picture. I've been going to this nail salon since I moved here a little over a month ago. Today was my third visit. I really was happy with the place both times before so I decided to go back. I normally did the #1, regular polish for the pedi and schellac mani, however today I requested a shellac mani AND pedi. I got seated almost immediately and began my service. The gal doing my nails asked if I wanted the deluxe, #3 for $60. I asked if it was both shellac for pedi and mani and she said yes so I agreed. Figured that's about the price for both anyways. After spending an hour and a half there, I gave the girl a tip and paid the $60 for the service. Another lady comes out and told me that it is in fact $80! I told her no, I only asked for a shellac mani and shellac pedi, nothing else special. She then blamed it on the "poor English" of my nail tech. I've managed a high end salon and spa before back in Seattle and would never use that excuse for any of my nail techs if they told our customer a different pricing. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE in my opinion. Way to accommodate a potential regular. But there are PLENTY of other nail salons in the area I'll happily take my business to. Read Less

Super disappointed! Today I went in for a mani and pedi. The lady filed down my cuticle and it started to bleed at first I thought it would be okay. Now I am at home and can not sleep because she went all the way down to the raw skin. My finger is throbbing. I called the salon to let them know and they did not even offer a refund. my fingers have never been so sore hours after bleeding from a manicure. No one has ever made me bleed from a nail filer before. We walked in to check it out and two ladies yelled at us what we wanted. If I wasn't with an old friend I would have left. They have the smallest gel collection I've ever seen so I just chose the one I disliked the least. The lady who did my nails was not gentle at all, even with the way she handled my hands. Even better she couldn't understand anything I asked her. I literally had to give up trying to talk to her. It's unfortunate that I have to give a bad review but I've never experience such low quality gel nails. I've heard good things about this place but I had such a horrible experience. Personally I would not suggest wasting your time or money here. Not even a week later and there is discoloration and receding on my mani. I do not work with chemicals nor have I done any labor involving my hands. On top of this, they charged me $80 for a gel mani pedi!!! The guy doing my nails took about 10-15 to do so I know little effort was involved. If I pay that much money for GEL (not even acrylic) then I expect quality. Now I'm left with a terrible mani that I need to quickly remove and an empty wallet. My girlfriend and I made a mani pedi date. Usually I just walk in and luckily they always can take me! I think once I waited 5 minutes. They can get busy, but I like watching the movies :) Since we were going on a Saturday afternoon I called for two reservations. They answered quickly and I was scheduled! They took us at 1:30. After you get a pedicure, they make you walk on the floor with your BARE FEET to the drying station Every single time I try to tell them I don't want to do that and every single time they insist that I walk on the floor. I've never had a bad experience and all the ladies work hard and do a good job. They don't speak much English but my pedicures and manicures have always been GREAT! Came here last evening for a mani/pedi. Perhaps they thought I was a tourist because several "regulars" came in, to whom the staff were extremely friendly, but there was not a single smile for me and I was barked at throughout my time there. Shoddy polish work - genuinely looks like a child painted my nails, the layers are all over the place and she left cotton ball fuzz in the wet polish, which dried over and left unappealing bumps. My main complaint is that the pedicurist cut too deeply when removing dead skin and sliced the end of my toe wide open. Now every step is painful and I can't wear closed-toed shoes without a few bandaids for cushion. I yelped in pain and yanked my foot back when she did it, and she didn't even acknowledge what she had done or apologize for it. I am feeling pretty bad that the place is not close to where I live so I could come more often. It's my first time here today and I am already in love with it. Techs seem to be in the industry for a while now and they know just what to do. Everyone is nice and professional. The lady who took care of my nails did an amazing job. I'm a frequent at Hawaii Sushi next door, so as I was waiting for my order one day I took a look at the price menu for creative nails. They had some great deals! $30 for regular mani/pedi and $45 for gel mani/reg pedi! That's a steal! The place seemed pretty busy too, so I trusted my instincts and stopped in. Mai was quick to help me, and get me started on my pedicure. She helped me chose a color which in the end was a great decision! I really enjoyed talking with her, and she was patient with me and kind. I will definitely be back and request her for my services. It's been hard to find a good regular place to go and this spot my be my new place! Lucky me! Creative Nails is by far the best nail salon in thí town. I am very picky about my nails and have never left disappointed with my manicure or pedicure. My manicurist is meticulous and her manicures are better than a lot of upscale nail salons I have visited. On top of all that, the prices are extremely competitive. This review is a bit late but I felt i should share my story. Creative Nails WAS a great nail salon. I have been going to this salon for more than 5 years with my mother. Over time, prices increased while the quality decreased. Recently they changed what is included in their Deluxe Pedicure. The normal pedicure does not include foot scraping anymore. Also, the massages are so lame. This review is 6 days after i got a mani-pedi here. My nails are chipped big time. The moment my mother and i left the salon, we looked at our nails. I still had A LOT of extra skin around my nails, it looked like a nail job i could do at home myself. Literally. I 100% do NOT recommend this place for eyebrow waxing. The last time they did it, my eyebrows were WACK. I promise i had 2 DIFFERENT shapes. They were completely different from each other. The employees are the typical stuck up vietnamese nail painters. They're OBVIOUSLY talking smack about you in another language to the other workers. You ask them to do something, they make like they don't understand you, they roll their eyes, or lie and say they already did, when they really didn't. For instance, my mother asked the lady if she did something about the ingrown on her toe nail & the lady said yes. Gee, I wish I had read the other reviews.  I went here because I was wanting a pedicure and pushed for time and since I was in the neighborhood.  The pedicurist cut me bad TWICE; once on the inside part of the nail and the other time on the inside of my toe.    I was saying "auwwww! and she kept going!  Now it is infected and sore.  It was cheap: only  $20 but it is going to cost me far more money in antibiotics and perhaps a trip to the doctor for prescription antiobiotics.I will never to to Creative Nails again. While I used to go here a lot, and used to recommend it, I've had a few bad experiences here in the last year.  I have such a hard time posting something "mean," so I am not going to go into great detail, but I will say that I've had issues with the job that was done, and with the attitudes and treatment of me of some of the staff.Maybe it's because I've gone so much, and used to live a block away, and therefore seen them all multiple times a day, but I just really didn't appreciate the way they treated me, especially the last time I went, with a visiting friend.  I'm not sure I'll be going back, and I am currently looking for a new nail place to call mine!But that's just my opinion!
