Pedicure was ok, but still have very rough patches that were not addressed. Asked for a fill for colored nails, the tech looked confused and said they were gel....they were not. He couldn't understand what I was telling him and proceeded to take off my nails I'd only had for 3 weeks. I left before letting him continue...and he kept arguing with me instead of listening. I moved to the Woodstock area six months ago and have been searching for a nail salon that can deliver consistent results. When a nearby salon did a wretched job on my gel polish and it began to chip, i decided to stop in to A Nail on a whim. My first impression: it's a no-frills nail salon. Looks older on the inside, nothing modern or flashy. Although I was not getting a pedicure, I noticed they had disposable liners in the pedi tubs. That's a plus.  I was seated pretty quickly and they began the soak-off process to remove the chipped gel.  OPI Bubble Bath is my go-to gel color, and they carry it, so that's another plus. The woman who did my polish did a great job. She was careful not to get it all over my cuticles, and the polish doesn't appear thick and goopy, as it does in some salons. Wish I would've gotten her name because I'm planning to go back! Read Less

Love this place. I've been going there for 7 years because they are the only place that actually will actually give you your money's worth when it comes to a manicure. When I've had to go to other places, they only take off a small amount of the cuticle and I always leave feeling disappointed. I see Christy at A Nails and she does not mess around. My nails are always perfect after I leave. And she does the best designs. April gives amazing pedicures as well. Plus, it's not crazy expensive. Read Less

I had a terrible experience. The woman who did my pedicure cut my skin open because she went too fast with the square buffer. She then put a burning product on it to make it stop bleeding, but never acknowledged it to me or apologized. She rushed the pedicure and it was not an enjoyable experience. During my manicure my hands were placed in warming gloves which I told the second lady the gloves were not getting warm. She told me they were kind of warm and put my hands back in them. By no means did these gloves get warm. When I got home and looked at my toenails I realized it looked like my child had completed them. It was a very disappointing experience and I will under no circumstances return. Talk about a huge waste of $52. Read Less

If I could give less then one star I would, but since I can't I will stick with one. Walked into the salon and she told me it was a 5 minute wait...okay no problem... I pick my nail polish out. I then am directed to an old, ratty, torn massage chair. The water in the tub was cold ands waited for another 15 minutes. I can't believe I stayed as long as I did. After I had not been taking care of within 15 minutes I decided it was time to leave got up and walked out nothing was said to me as I exited the Business. Needless to say I will not be giving my business or recommending any business go to this facility. Read Less

I generally get my nails done spur of the moment.  When I walked into my usual place and the mgr. said 'come back in an hour,' I thought nahhhh... I'll go elsewhere.  Having never tried the salon in the WalMart shopping center, I decided to give 'em a go.  They took me immediately, and the mani/pedi was not only pleasant, but cheaper than the other place. The basic pedicure includes callus removal -- extra in other salons -- and a feel-good salt scrub.***I'm not giving them four stars  for a couple of reasons:1) I brought purplish/black OPI polish.  They only applied one coat.  When I asked why, they said that the polish is thick (I thought it was just dark) and two coats won't dry well.  (Driving home I noticed a couple of spots that were a bit translucent and could have been covered with additional polish.)  OK, next time.2) There are a few dabs of polish on my skin which again, I didn't see till I left.I thought the practitioners were friendly -- their English is very limited -- and they did a pretty good job.  I'll give them a second try, particularly if the one coat of polish lasts as long as two coats does.***February 2015 Update:  So I came back with the same purplish/black polish and asked them to apply two coats.  No problem!  If you're tired of waiting at other salons, give A Nail a try.  I think they do a fine job and there's generally minimal wait.  Anyone who claims the staff is rude should take into account that they speak little English. and may not understand what you're asking. I've elevated my rating from three stars to four.  I'm now a regular. Read Less
