This place is awful! My fiancé and I went in for a manicure and pedicure and they were awful from the beginning. On first impression it seems dirty, old, and dated. We decided to give it a try since we haven't found another place we like. When we sat down the owner, or manager I'm not really clear which, said, "so we're getting deluxe everything right?!" Which we declined for the manicure but opted for in the pedicure. I wouldn't call it deluxe at all, it was a very reasonable price for a pedicure but only one of two options, barely any massage and my nail polish chipped almost immediately. I look like I never even got a manicure and I now have an infection in my left ring finger, that is very painful. Cherry on the sundae is when I went to pay it was $87 for both of us and the machine wouldn't accept my card because the machine doesn't accept more than $80 payments... wtf?! I had to leave, go to an ATM and then come back to pay. This horrible experience cost me well over $100, oh and they charged me three dollars to buff my nails... which I figured would be included in the manicure since polish is. Bottom line. I have been going to this place for six years. They do get a little busy from time to time and I have been very patient with them. If I was unable to wait in the past, I didn't mind coming back. However, for the last 2 months or so, only one person that I recognized was still working at this location and he informed me that the others were just transferred to another store. That was also okay with me. The atmosphere is so different. When I went Monday, there was only 1 other person getting services done and it took 3 hours for me to get the pedicure and full set done because there was only 3 people working (1 manager and 2 new techs). The one young man did my feet first and although I was cut a few times with the nippers and he cut my toenails down really low, it was nothing to get upset about. The other guy started my nails about an hour into my visit and when my feet were done I was able to move to his chair. It has NEVER taken two hours to do my nails EVER. It was like he was unsure of himself. Halfway through he had to stop because his nose was running really bad and had to step to the back. When he came out he was still wiping his nose and NEVER washed his hands before touching mine again. I asked him quietly to and he that's when I found out that only one person in the building speaks English (the manager). Being that I was there for so long, I decided to just finish and leave. I went back that Wednesday and was trying to quietly speak to the manager and ask him was there any way to reshape my nails because the original person did made them thick and too wide for my fingers. He was doing a set on someone but never looked up to see what my issue was. He just told the same guy that originally did my nails to come and fix them and rudely told me to go and sit at chair #3. I was still very calm and quietly told him that I'd rather that guy not fix them, considering he was the one who had messed them up in the first place. I asked if there was any way that I could wait and he yelled at me and said, "I'm busy!!" I have always been patient with this place and have never complained about wait times or anything. So, I was very offended that this guy would yell at me knowing that I frequent the shop and always get more than one service done. I told him that he didn't have to be rude because I am a loyal customer and I have spent my money on a service that wasn't done right. He said, "Just come back tomorrow, I'm busy." I just said okay and walked out. I ended up walking in to ask for the owners number and he told me that he didn't have the owners number because he was out of town. ?????????? He said he was the manager and he's already handled it by telling me to come back tomorrow. I just said okay. It sucks that they have moved the good nail techs to a different location and it seems like this is the new training center because now the loyal customers have to deal with brand new nail techs that aren't doing their job sufficiently. And when you speak to the manager, he just gets offended and becomes rude (which he has never done in the past). It also sucks because I work two minutes from this shop and since I was made to feel as though my issue wasn't important and the money that I spend in there it doesn't matter either, I won't be back. I started going to this place in 2006, left for school a few years later and came back a few months ago. Service is still good and I enjoy coming there but don't let the young girl do your eyebrows because she doesn't know what clean them up means. Read Less

Go to another salon. I was in a pinch. I needed a gel manicure (and bad!) before a meeting I had in two hours. Without having the time to go anywhere else, I settled for Sun 'n Nails. I was reluctant because my sister had gotten a staph infection from a pedicure here back in 2013. I went in and told them that I needed gel removed and new gel polish put on. Unhappy with their selection of my go-to brand, OPI, I reluctantly settled for an inferior DND polish to get a color I would be happy with. True to form, the DND gel polish was chipped within three days. My OPI gel often grows out before chipping. I had once been told that OPI is the least favorite brand for nail techs to remove, so it was always my go to! No one wants chipped nails. On top of the terrible selection of quality products, the place just seems dirty. Maybe I had my sister's staph infection in the back of my mind, but I noticed that they don't clean their tools. They also had a bottle of "Severe Cold & Flu" DayQuil out on the table next to me, which didn't really make me want to get too close to them. The prices are cheap, but there is a reason. I am a faithful follower of the mighty Jade. Seriously, she just gets it right. I know nail salons are a penny a dozen, so what sets this one apart? Well we don't have tons of choices on this side of town, but this would win even if we did. They have those little plastic protectors for the pedicure basin. You know the ones, they look like giant shower caps? Yes those! It makes me feel so much more relaxed to know I'm not soaking my feet in anyone else's toe jam. I can always make an appointment for my pedi and gel mani. And my appointment time is my appointment time. These dogs have marched plenty a day through wet mud for the US Army so I don't have the most forgiving feet but Jade always takes her time and never skimps on any detail. They are constantly improving their selection of gel colors, which pleases the artist in me. Before the natural mom nails, I use to see Jade for an acrylic fill for my stripper(in my mind) nails, and she excelled at that as well. They were never bulky, always trim and perfect!! Professional, clean, and skilled. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for a good place to go to for gel manicures (I typically just get gel manicures and pedicures so I can't comment on any other services). I was in town visiting family and needed to refresh my manicure badly. I read a couple of bad reviews and was skeptical, but they were the only place open on Sunday around here. So, I decided to give them a try. I am very pleased on the service I received. I picked a color that didn't have very good color payoff and without me even asking, the nail tech went ahead and did 3 coats of polish. I also liked how he went over the sides of my nails with a file after the gel cured to make sure there wasn't any residual get sticking to the sides of my nails. And love how he picked a shape that complemented my hands nicely...not too square, not too round. Looks great on petite hand with short nails. Highly recommend you give them a try. Read Less

This place is a rip-off!! The prices differ each time you go in there! The owner, an older gentleman is very aggressive and pushy when a simple question about why the price would differ month to month. He actually tried to tell me they use different grades of products and I must have received the lower grade the last time!! Sad excuse for a con-man. Look, there are bail salons on every corner, be honest and you will have no problems keeping clients! Be honest! What's wrong with that people?? I wouldn't ever go back there!
