After he wouldn't listen when I told him I wanted my nails square, he told me my polish choice looked bad, even when I told him I actually really liked it because I don't like super flashy reds, and still wanted something red for the holidays, he over grinded the edges of my nails. I told him I wanted 2 layers of the glitter, so he put one layer on, then made the curve. But with the second layer, he didn't go back and fix the curve again on each nail, so it could've been so much better. This won't show up in the picture, but TRUST, my nails HURT LIKE HELL from him over grinding the sides. 4 Advil is doing nothing to help and I hardly ever take Advil! Then he had the nerve to pass me off to someone else (who I'm sure would've done better) once his regular appointment arrived. Of course his regular gal glared at me with evil eyes, probably thinking I was the reason he ran late. Ummm, no. He ran late because he grinded the living daylights out of my nails even when I told him he was hurting me. I asked the new nail tech, very politely to make them a little more square, which of course she didn't mind doing. But then when I went to pay the INSANE COST OF $47 & I told her I wanted to add a $3 tip she got an attitude and asked me if I had cash for the tip (obviously because she wanted to split it with him). Um. No. It's not my fault I was charged $7 more than what I was quoted over the phone and it isn't my fault that 2 people touched my nails. On top of all of that, the line where the glitter tip wasn't even, it was crooked on some of my nails, so I had to file them more to "cheat" the line and give the illusion that they are straighter than they are. Do I hate the finished product after she AND I fixed them? No. It's not the worst I've ever had done. Did I hate the entire experience? Yes. Do I HATE how bad my nails hurt more than any other nail experience after getting my nails done in salons for over 25 YEARS? Duh. You know that answer. Nails aren't supposed to hurt! AND did I also dislike that the nail brush sitting by the sink, that you are supposed to wash your nails with WAS NOT IN AN ANTIBACTERIAL SOLUTION (the green stuff they use to sanitize the brush), so of course I didn't touch it and by then I'm left wondering how dirty everything else was (AFTER my nails are already done). This is a nail salon HEALTH CODE VIOLATION. I even told him that I was looking for a new nail tech after going to mine for ten years, and her retiring. Easy to find, clean and no wait. The young lady who worked on my pedicure did a nice job as far as the massage and making me feel welcome. She was patient enough to help me find the right color. The massage chairs are a bit dated but somewhat hit the spot. All in all, a basic pedicure experience. The color selection was also basic. Three days later I look down at my toes to notice what I believe are uneven as well and uneven polish. You know like when they finish with the topcoat and it doesn't cover the edge of the nail. I come every few weeks to get the same pedicure but I get a different technician almost each time. For what I get (French deluxe pedicure) I pretty much know who to wait for if the open tech isn't one of the better ones for my service. They are always pleasant and the music is calming. The longest I've waited for a tech is 10 minutes but usually I get a massage chair as soon as I get there. I've tried my share of nail salons and this one is my preferred location. Read Less

I've been a New Nails customer for many years, and I always enjoy my visits. The owners, Tony and Susan, are skilled and professional. They are very selective about their nail techs, and I've not had a bad experience with any of them. They offer all of the expected nail options including acrylic, gel, and solar, and they have several pedicure options. I've been here a couple of times. I came back because everyone was so nice and the nail tech did a great job the first time. But the second trip I had some issues--mainly with cleanliness. One of the customers noticed a large roach crawling on the floor next to all the chairs, which were full. The tech got out her tweezers (?!) but did nothing. Neither did anyone else working there. I came in based off reviews since it was not far from my house. The salon was nothing special but not busy and they got to work in my pedicure pretty fast. My pedicure was fine. I decided to try the SNS manicure and was not impressed with the process as well as the tech seemed inexperienced and was taking a long time but it was my first SNS so I didn't judge. When I was finished I was less than pleased but was ready to go by that time. I was told SNS is supposed to last up to 2 weeks (my gel mani usually does) but my manicure began chipping the first day! From what I've been told by friends who frequently get SNS the length of time it took to complete and the chipping after a day was unusual. I will not be back. Read Less

never got my worker's name, but she was fast and efficient - went in for a new set of gel nails, and while I was washing my hands mid-manicure she was able to accommodate a walk-in who needed her brows waxed - by the time I was back in my chair she was back in hers!  That said, the selection of colors was adequate, not huge, but had plenty for me to choose from and I like the color.  she did a really nice job on all aspects of the service.  I come to this area from Bethlehem every Thursday evening, and I think I have found my new nail salon.  The price is right, the service is fast and friendly, so why not? Today was my first time trying this nail shop. I read the reviews before going and there were good and bad but I chose to go with the good because I was sorta desperate to get my nails done quickly and without having to go downtown on traffic... PROS: - They are very quick and efficient. I liked the job done on both my toes and nails. - The workers are friendly. I didn't get the ladies names who were working on me, but they smiled and tried to hold conversation with me (so I could appreciate that). CONS: - Didn't have much variety for the Gel color; I don't buy polish so this is a big deal for me. - I (personally) don't like when shops line their pedicure tubs with the plastic. I GET it as far as sanitation purposes, but idk it makes me feel some kind of way. I'm not like AGAINST it, but I'd prefer to feel like I could put my feet in the actual bowl and not think I'm going to get gang green. (Maybe I'm being dramatic) lol- The foot massage was great, but she was a bit rough on my calves (so uncomfortable lol)The last thing I didn't really like was that the lady doing my nails had another client come in and left me with my hands still under the UV light. I was sitting there kind of lost. I wasn't sure whether or not to put my hand back in or not. So I waited for her to come back to wipe them off at the end, and she never came. So finally I had to ask her was I done and she told the other lady to finish. I mean in retrospect it's no big deal, but I just would've like to have ended with the same lady. But OTHER than those few things, I would come here for sure. I'd probably have to bring my own polish, because the choices were almost none. This has been my regular nail salon for years. Always get a pedicure with the extra message option. Unfortunately my last visit there was extremely disappointing. The nail Tech suggested I get gel because it dries much faster the only reason I was running late was because they had too many customers going at one time. After  leaving I realized I was charged  $20 more than I usually pay. Thinking this was in error I called Susan the owner to let her know of the error,  imagine my shock when she told me gel polish is $20 extra!!!!! Really it would have been nice as a customer to have been told beforehand I would have politely declined. In my opinion this was just bad business. I've been going to this nail salon for at least 5 years now and love it! The owners Susan and Tony are so friendly and always remember repeat customers, greeting many by first name. They are very clean (use tub liners and sanitize instruments), offer bottled water, don't have annoying TVs playing in the background, and it's a quiet, serene environment. This is the 6th nail salon I've tried in the Tucker area. This is the best one I have been to and feel like I have finally found somewhere I can return to and get quality service. I was seen immediately. Got the regular pedicure ($20) with sugar scrub ($5). Relaxing music and the nail tech took her time. Great message. I went to get the gel nails and it chipped the next day. I went back to repair the chipped nails and charged for the repair. Mind you, according to this facility, gel nails last 12 days. I went to another facility to remove the polish and they told me it was just regular polish and that's why it chipped so bad. I paid full price gel nails for a crappy service. I will never go back! I have tried many of the nail salons in the Northlake Mall area and this is THE BEST!!  They have some of the most amazing pedicures you can imagine.  I took my 93 year old mom here for mother's day and we both were pampered beyond belief.  The staff is so very friendly, the service great.  I don't live here, but will make sure to go back every time I come down to visit my parents. THEY HAVE RECENTLY EXPANDED THE SHOP AND PUT IN A GREAT FOUNTAIN ETCHED GLASS WATERFALL THINGY THAT SITS RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE PEDI CHAIRS!! THE CHAIRS THEMSELVES ARE GREAT AND EASY TO GET IN AND OUT OF. I ALWAYS GET A PEDI AND A WAX. BOTH ATTENDANTS ARE GREAT NO MATTER WHO I SEE AND I NEVER FEEL BELITTLED AS SOMETIMES HAPPENS IN OTHER SHOPS I HAVE VISITED. IT IS AND HAS ALWAYS BEEN VERY TIDY AND IT ALWAYS SMELLS WONDERFUL.
