Very disappointed in this place. I gave them 2 vs 1 stars because the nail technician was very pleasant. I did not make an appointment and when I came in there were only two people getting services but also only three technicians. Another tech told my tech that I could only get the basic pedicure. I was ok with that but I found it odd.The spa pedicure water was cold, and before we got started the nail tech said that the polish I chose would be an additional $3 because it does not require a base and top coat. I found that very strange but accepted because I liked the color. However, to my surprise, she still used a clear base and a top coat.While I was getting the pedicure two other clients came in that had appointments. I assume I was interfering with their appointment time because the nail tech started to rush. And I am going to give her the benefit of the doubt and say that that is why she did such an awful job. I had to tell her to fix three toes (one had a hair in it, one she smudged when putting on my flip-flop and the third she only painted half of the nail). My toes look like an uneven globby mess, and I had polish still on my skin. I will definitely not go back here. I would have rather they told me that I needed to make an appointment or come back at a later time because they won't have time to service me before their next scheduled appointment than to rush and give me such shoddy service. Horrible management. Horrible technician. I was in town visiting family & wanted to get my nails done but didn't want to drive through traffic to do so. I ended up finding this place on Yelp and decided to give them a try. Never again! Stayed for almost 3 hours for a Gel FILL & Gel Pedi only to have to come back within 24 hours because a nail broke. When I did return the technician gave me excuses for her horrible job (she was in a rush the day before because she was supposed to leave early and the manager guy seemed to have overbooked her) saying she didn't charge me for this and that. It's not my mistake that she doesn't have good communication with her manager. Anyway, she ended up saying I would have to pay for the fee to fix the nail because the nails weren't originally done there. Hilarious. At that point, I was so mad that I just ended up paying and noted to make a Yelp review to warn others about this place. The manager guy does not need to be managing the place it was in chaos when I came even the technicians were agitated with him. I really wanted to like this place because the girls were friendly buuuut there were a few, well a lot of things I didn't like. The setting is nice, they have an actual "brow/nail bar". We're ur sitting on bar stools which I thought was really cute and clever. They also have the option of sitting on a long high back bench like seating which was very comfortable for the spa pedicure. They have the option of different mani/pedis from basic to lux to royal... etc. I decided on a basic SnS manicure and a regular polish pedicure. The ambience  I would give  5 stars, they had a movie going on some big screen TVs posted around the salon, I think we were watching "The girl on the train". The nail techs were friendly and I could tell they have regulars as they were asking about vacations, jobs, day to day events. Now for the mani/pedi. First she picked the wrong color, I asked for blue and she gave me pink . She  had done 3 nails (I was really into the movie)  before I noticed. She was very apologetic which I appreciate but she didn't stop she proceeded to do the rest of the nails pink and said she would just go over them with blue. I'm not a nail tech so I allowed her to do her job. Bad idea...The nails came out super bulky and lumpy. The corners as well as the nail bed you can see the pink peeking through. The nails are unevenly filed. And they almost forgot to do my hand massage .  The pedicure was GREAT, I love my yellow toes. I'm just not happy with the sloppiness of the manicure. The setting, cleanliness and friendliness?? (idk if that's a word but we will use it anyways) 5/5. The actual service 1.5/5. That's bc the pedicure gets a 4/5 and the manicure is -2/5... ‍.  I'm not sure if it was a bad day or the nail tech but I was not impressed not even a little. The ambiance is plush, but like others have commented and I agree, the seating is VERY uncomfortable and not ergonomically friendly. I appreciate the friendly and hands-on atmosphere that the husband and wife owners, and their long term staff have created.  However, some of the newer staff could be a little more personable. Aside from the fact that it is discouraging and/or disappointing to new and potentially returning customers to find out for the first time that their establishment operates by appointment only, is upon arrival, it is a nice and relaxing nail salon to frequent. I would suggest that they maybe select certain days to offer walk-ins Only if, they are not already. This would help them build new clientele that they can then educate about their preferred Appointment Only business practice. Read Less

I had been introduced to SNS nails buy a friend in Tennessee. Luxe Nail Bar does this here in Tucker and they did a wonderful job. I would definitely recommend Angie with a Sweet Disposition and did an excellent job on my nails and on my eyebrows. Read Less

They spent way too much time trying to make this place an upscale nail bar rather than a quality nail salon. The chairs were cute, but uncomfortable. The girl who did my nails, I didn't catch her name, she seemed like she was in such a hurry to get my nails done and over with. I told her "it seems as if you are rushing" and she immediately caught an attitude {-1 star}. Once she was done, I looked at my nails and was not impressed nor satisfied. The lady who did my feet was so sweet and quite, she did a really good job on my feet! I read the reviews prior to going to Luxe, I saw that they promote the natural products and cleanliness, but some had mixed reviews. Once I arrived the sent/smell of the chemicals was so strong that I just wanted to leave {-1 star}, but I was determined to get my nails done that day! Also, if you are like me and prefer the plastic bag in the foot bowl then don't come here! I watched one of the techs clean the metal/metallic foot bowl with a spray bottle and water...not okay. I've been looking for a good nail salon local to me in Tucker for a long time and I finally found it. Luxe nail bar salon is unique and different with a positive energy. I felt relaxed and comfortable with the salon and appreciated not having a tv blaring at  me.Love my pedicure! Read Less

My typical spot is Sugarcoat in the Highlands. However I needed a pedi last minute so I came here. When I entered I was overwhelmed with toxic chemical smells. The technician did a nice job as far as the pedi, but it seems the staff are a little slow with the check in and check out process. The place wasn't the cleanest-- like they don't wipe down the top surfaces and clean the floors. I like my nail salon to be clean and well-ventilated. Read Less

I absolutely adore this place due to all the selection of colors and friendly atmosphere. When you first come here you dont know to expect but the bubbles on the ceiling and comfortable waiting area. I gave it a chance. I did have to wait since this was my first time here and didnt know that they took appointments. It was worth getting my service because they used cleaned packets of tools on each customer and also I was able to tell them exactly what I wanted and they did exactly what I said. Place was clean and lovely. The staff was welcoming and very attentive. Mrs. Kim did a great job with my sns nails with tips. I loved the colors to choose from. The prices are fair maybe even a little cheaper than other places I've been too. They worked fasr on my manicure and pedicure as well as my friends pedicure. I will definitely be back here! But now I drive to the shop to find out my appointment was booked on a day they are closed April 16th. I don't Celebrate Holidays so it never even crossed my mind it was Easter and they maybe closed. When I came for my third visit which was booked by the girl who gave me service two weeks prior they were closed. I love this place, so far...The first visit was nice; the space is clean and the staff was friendly. It doesn't smell like chemical and the stations are clean and comfortable. The selection of colors, brands and options here is the best I've ever seen. Hands down. I was blown away by the amount to choose from when I first started coming here, and still am.I've been coming to this salon since September or maybe earlier. I've seen three of the nail techs and liked all of them. I have worn acrylics, pretty much continually since college to help mitigate my dermatillomania(anxious scratching). Everyone I've seen has done a great job.The ambiance is fun and friendly, although if you don't like purple... you are out of luck, because it's the main color for the salon. It's a nail bar because you belly up to the bar to get your nails done, which is fun. Most of the folks here are clearly regulars and you'll realize very quickly the estheticians are very friendly with each other and with all the clients, which is a nice change from many of the salons I've been to.  They might not get to you immediately, but that's usually because they are focused on the job they're doing. I like that they take the time to get things right, I've watched the salon owner fix a client's nails more than once in the same visit, because the client had bumped her drying nails. No complaints or huffing, she just got it done and smiled about it. I've realized I'm going to have to start making appointments as it can be a long wait for a walk-in sometimes. 1.Was not greeted professionaly.2.Was told " pick a Polish" and tech turned and walked away ...(..keeping in mind this was my first time there....)with no direction...found the stand!3.Told to sit " over there". Again no direction!4.Service was hurried.5.Was told " I did not need my cuticles done"...Not asked how I would like them done!6.Had to correct the shape to file some of the nails!7.Was told that I had picked a Polish ( refer to #2 ) that was $3 more. Not happening! So she switched it out for a colour match.8.Did not speak the entire time...but only when she had to!9.Did not complete my nails. Tech at next station had to get guy to do complete them.10. Tech had no personality!11. Love this place! I've had regular manicure/pedicure, gel, acrylic, and SNS done here. They actually know how to do SNS. They really take care of your nails so that they stay healthy. They have a HUGE selection of colors for regular, gel, and SNS. The manicurists here really take the opportunity to get to know you and build a relationship with you. Stephanie is my favorite! Nice folks, seems clean, fab selection of regular and gel colors, and top brands (OPI, Essie, China Glaze). Have had traditional and gel manicures and pedicures here. The two gel manicures lasted three and a half weeks with no peeling. Pedicures are painless and my toes stayed without chipping or wear for nearly two weeks, even in flip flops.The chairs aren't that comfy and they're a bit slow (hence 4 and not 5 stars). Read Less

While on a girls getaway/mini vacation, my friend and I got our nails done here and I loved it! The owner was so sweet, along with her husband and all the other girls we talked to. We came during a busy time without an appointment and we had to wait for a few minutes but it wasn't a bad wait at all. I absolutely loved my nails, I got bright pink with white polka dots! So cute. They did a really great job, and were way more affordable than I thought they were going to be. I even joked that I'd have to make the 6 hour trip from IL to GA again just for them. I've been on the hunt for a nail salon closer to home. I'm very loyal but my current schedule and their location make it extremely difficult. So after reading the reviews, I decided to give Luxe a try. I came as a walk-in on Saturday afternoon. I called ahead to see if I could be squeezed in and the receptionist said for me to come in about 15 minutes. I let her know that I was in a rush because I had a wedding to attend in a couple of hours. I arrived and saw a beautiful building exterior and when I entered the decor was just as nice. The purple makes it feel regal especially since the manicure chairs looks like thrones. I was greeted immediately and directed to choose my polish color. I'm used to a larger selection of colors, however, the color I wanted was there as well as an accompanying glitter color for one nail on each hand. My manicurist was sweet. I explained that I was in a rush and that I just wanted a quick, basic manicure. I only have two complaints:1) she was too slow. My 20-30 minute manicure ended up taking 45-50 minutes. (I was late & I messed up several of my nails because I was rushing). 2) she didn't know how to file my nails! That's Manicuring 101! I asked for oval and she filed them squarish round. I had to ask her 2-3 more times to fix the shape. One of my nails had some decent length and by the time she was finished filing and re-filing, it was down to a nub. Other than that, she did an overall good job. Nice massage. And a good polish job. She even used several quick drying mechanisms to help me out. I'm back 3 days later to try a basic pedicure. I rarely get those but wanted to kind of get a feel for their quality. I had the same nail technician and was a bit skeptical. She did a great job! Perfectly filed. And good polish job. I also had her do a polish change for my manicure. I had to have her make a few corrections to my liking. But she listened and I appreciate that. I will definitely come back and try another nail technician. I'm a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to my nails. Read Less

I came to Luxe because of how highly they were rated by TTT. What a waste of my Sunday afternoon! I can't believe I waited over an hour for the worst experience at any nail salon I've ever been to. First, the seats are the most uncomfortable seats in any nail salon I have ever been in. No massaging or comfort, just hard plastic. They were obviously designed to look good without regard for the person actually sitting in them. The water was scalding hot that they made me keep m...y feet in for nearly 30 minutes while the temperature in the room was pushing 75. They painted my nails 1/2 inch from my cuticle so after 1 day it looks like it's 2 weeks old. I paid extra for the gel nail polish but it is already wearing off after only 1 day. Obviously they do not use good products or good technique. The girls who painted my nails were very nice but the man running things has no idea what he is doing. I will never be back. Fabulous nail salon! Everything is super clean, including stainless steel tubs. Great polish selection and the artists are amazing - I wanted a design on my big toe and we decided on a snow flake... I left with a white snow flake, that include silver and gold accents and a little jewel in the center. Absolutely adorable - the nail tech was so talented!
