The service is terrible. I went and got a full set acrylic nails . The woman who did my nails had a bad attitude . I asked for blue nail polish and she said “ you get what I give you !” I felt that was very rude . Then when she got finished I told her to take it off . She said “NO!” Then I told the manger . The manager had redid my nails and told the woman not to charge me anything ! The woman did it anyways and charged me 24.99 with an extra 5.00 which exactly charged 29.99 which is 30.00 ! The manager told me to just walk out and don’t pay because she was very disrespectful and did not know what she was doing . This was the worst experience I've ever had getting my nails done :( yes I did walk in an hour and a half before they closed, but we all know it takes about 45 minutes to do a full set. All I needed was a fill in. So the first lady started & we noticed my real nails were in bad shape and she told me that I should have a new set put on, I said okay let's do it... she said oh no not today, we close at 6. (it's 430) then she replaced one of my nails and it wasn't the same shape as the other, I pointed it out. & she also told me the she couldn't do french tip on coffin shaped nails because they are not professional enough . Then she just stopped doing my nails and the other lady told me I had to wait 10 minutes for her to finish because the other lady didn't want to finish them. Then when she started doing them again she was missing important steps .. cleaning out the extra acrylic under my nails, she cut me a few times, she then told me that she couldn't do my nails in all white gel.. ? But she just did someone else's nails in white gel. So she finally said she would do them white. As she painted them very sloppy. I was very upset as this is not where I usually go, I have to wear these nails for 2-3 weeks because I don't have time with a full time job and kids throughout the week to get them done where I normally go. New to the area, tried this place since it's the closest nail salon to my home... Imagine how awesome that would be since it's right down the street! Unfortunately, the owner/manager passed me off as soon as a woman came out of the back. It took them forever to remove my gel polish- lack of knowledge. I've been getting gel- manicures for years and while I understand everyone has their own technique, theirs did not work well with the heat padded gloves she just kept trying to file my whole nail to remove the polish. I did not want to damage my nails so I asked her to stop, I've never had a problem getting the polish off so to me it was a waste of time while the technician commented that whoever did my nails put the polish on too thick. Just recently went to this shop yesterday to get my nails done. And honestly it is one of the worst nail jobs I have ever had. I came to get my previous nails removed and asked for a new set with a French tip. The lines of the French tip are not clean, the acrylic of the nail is not smooth so it makes my nails look lumpy. And while she was using the drill to "smooth" it out, she kept drilling the skin around my nail making me bleed 3 times. On top of that, she didn't remove all of the acrylic from my previous set so it shows through on the clear part of my French tip. Another thing that I did not like is they charge $2 to cut down your nails which should be included in the price because that is something people do obviously if their going to a nail shop! When I went there, it was only one other person in the shop meaning they weren't busy. So there is no excuse for the poor quality in service. Went here for the first time because I needed a salon on the way to my meeting. The nail tech was slow and took offense when I asked him to cut my toe nails a little shorter (and I promise I wasn't rude). The manager came over and finished the job, I guess because the first guy was too bothered to, although I'm not sure why. The manager wasn't much better and I still didn't get what I asked. Then the tech that did my mani seemed to be okay with clumpy nail polish. Had I not pointed it out to her my nails would look ridiculous! This is the only salon I'll go to.  Everyone is so friendly, it is a relaxed atmosphere, they're all very professional, and I love how my nails look when I leave.  They're popular so if you don't want to wait, I'd recommend you make an appointment (but they're not required). Read Less

I love this salon. Yvonne is great and the rest of the staff is entertaining and friendly. They have 5 spa pedicure chairs and a number of nail stations. They offer waxing services and massage. I have not had a pedicure or waxing at A Plus Nails.I do get my acrylics done here regularly and there is always attention to detail, and they are very careful with the dremel tools. Yvonne always remembers the shape I prefer and even my preferred length, even when I hadn't been a client for very long.I'm not that thrilled with the nail polish colors available, but they do have a wide selection of colors. Oh my gosh! I moved from Stone Mountain/Tucker to Stockbridge. When I moved, I stopped getting my nails done. I used to have gel, and I'm so picky about how they look and the quality of service while I'm treating myself that I didn't want to spend months trying to find a place that didn't compare to A Plus Nails. Two years later and an upcoming wedding later, I decided to suck it up and go get my gels put back on. BIG MISTAKE. I went to Christian Nails in Stockbridge, the nails look fake, and I have scabs all around my nails from where the guy nicked me with the dremmel. Solution? Drive from Stockbridge to A Plus Nails every few weeks to get the kind of service I have come to expect. The people there are great! And, if you become a regular customer, you get your own kit. I mean, your own little dremmel bit, files, etc. That way, you know your equipment hasn't been shared with everyone!!!!!Oh, go here. Treat yourself.
