I decided to take my sister and niece to get our nails done for my sister's birthday. We received a friendly greeting as soon as we walked in and were told to pick our nail color. We were  directed to seating promptly. There were a few ladies ahead of us so there was a small wait, which is to be expected. My niece was a handful and the ladies treated her so sweet! I've been going to VIP for a couple of years and it's the only nail salon for me. The techs are skilled (especially the owner Tina), personable and happy to see you. I especially like that they have such a good vent system that clears out the chemical cloud, unlike most salons. It's actually the only salon near me that doesn't have a grey cloud of acrylic dust when entering. VIP is also very clean and up to date. Read Less

I have a Go-To nail salon in which I love my nail tech, services, atmosphere, and respect.  However, I was really bombarded with time restraints 2 mths ago to go to my regular salon and since I really needed one an event, I stopped by VIP Nails & Spa on the way out of another appointment.  The place looked really nice and quiet.  There were only 2 nail techs there.  A lady and a younger man.  The man was the one that handled my pedicure.  2 main things that I don't like about a nail salon are 1) their inquiry of "where are you from" (which of course I would say 'here') in order to see if you speak Vietnamese or not so that they can speak behind your back and 2)  their need of your background history.  I'm good with a few courtesy sentences, but if you see me multi-tasking trying to work on my phone and when I'm not on my phone, reading my book, please do not bother me.  But nope, this man did not get the hint at all.  He asked me every question out of the book:  Where are you from?  Why are you here?  What was your appointment for?  Where do you work?  What do you do at work?  Where do you live?  Questions after questions!  Each time, I would give him a vague answer just to give him the hint that I'm busy, but the guy is oblivious to any of the signs thrown at him.  I literally had to text my sister to give me a call so that I can pretend to talk to her (since she was busy at work herself) in order for the boy to quit asking me personal questions.  It's very rude and a lack of respect for a person's privacy.While working on the cuticles, he hardly cut anything.  When polishing, he actually put 3 coats on miscellaneous nails.  WTH?  First of all, I don't want 3 coats b/c it would make the colors dull.  2nd, it would not dry fast.  And 3rd, it will peel easily.  When I asked him why isn't he being consistent with each nails, he claimed that some of the toes looks lighter than the others.  I had to tell him to please polish the same amount of coats to the other nails (even though I did prefer 2 coats only).  He did such a poor job with my pedicure that I couldn't wait to go home to re-do it.  Here I was waiting to be pampered, but not only did I got a quick pat pat for his version of a massage, but also the pedicure itself sucked.  Colors were rimming the cuticles.  Cuticles were still there.  Nails were not properly filed.  Soles were not scrubbed smoothly.Upon arriving home and going about my business, 2 hours later, I stepped on the garbage can step and my big toe nail polish got ruined.  Seriously?  After 2 hours and still not dried?  Why am I not surprised?  I will never go there again and I will tell everyone that I do not recommend this place either.  Good riddance. Okay Not the worst experience I have had at a salon, but not good. I am pregnant and can't reach my feet to cut or color so I needed a pedicure. Though I am pregnant, I can still bend over enough to see that the clear coat is all over my toe cuticles!My manicure... Sigh I should have just done it myself at home. The second coat does not cover the first coat. The paint again is on my cuticle. Siiigh.Oh and yes, they were talking about us... Easily. My friend who was with me speaks Vietnamese confirmed they were. I don't care what they say (good or bad), it just makes it uneasy. They stopped once they learned my friend was Vietnamese. So yeah... The tension took away most of the stars there.But and extra star for sterilizing their utensils! Read Less

Out of all the options for levels of service I chose number 2. I can't imagine how much better it could have been if I had upgraded more because it was truly the best pedicure I have ever had!  Very thorough,  well done and relaxing!  Environment is very peaceful and tranquil.  I think the owner provided my service as I was here as they were opening and she was the only one here.  She was very pleasant and warm,  focused and easy to communicate with. For a finishing touch she gently rubbed oil in my legs and backs of heels after the polish was complete. EXCELLENT! Read Less

A little disclaimer, I did not receive any nail services during my visit, just eyebrow waxing. Also, this establishment is under new management and used to be called "Vi's Nails"I am not into the latest style of "pencil thin" eyebrows. I prefer mine fuller and good shaping, that being said, I just let the woman do what she felt fit my face. The eyebrow wax came with a free temple massage which I felt earned VIP nails 5 stars. For $8 you get a personalized wax and massage. I will be back for nails and more waxing. Read Less
